  1. To be completely fair, I'm on these forums so much I notice everyone, and yes, I've noticed you, Sergei :D

Keep in mind that these are the largest MLP Forums you'll find on the internet. If you look at other MLP-based forums, like Everypony, Canterlot, and World of Madoka Equestria, you'd see that they're really small in comparison, and their peak activity is around 20 members online - then you have places like Ponyville.net and Brohoof, which are complete ghost towns now with less than 5 members on at all times. Sad, really. This is *the* MLP Forums, and getting noticed here is much harder than in other pony forums, beyond a shadow of a doubt :D

  2. I gotta say, 6/10 for season 4 is seriously undercutting best season :D There's a few blemishes indeed, like "Rainbow Falls" and "Trade Ya!," and I agree when you say the lowest points of this season went really low, but I gotta say that the numerous high points you find within the season really make up for those lows, even outweigh them in many areas :D I think an 8.5 to a 9 would be fitting - 6/10 might be a bit low.

Also, I agree about Fluttershy's characterization in RoH pt.1 - her biggest flaw being her biggest strength in her confrontation with Discord was priceless! :D I liked both of these reviews and watched all of them, and I hope to see what you belt out next :D

  3. Does the /kid part mean you have a kid?

    Ah. Forgot to explain that.

    · Parking Tickets - $1,000 [x]

    · School Supplies $1,000/kid [x]

The boxes with the "x" means I no longer owe that money - the reason I didn't have to pay for the School Supplies is because I haven't gotten a kid card yet - and I don't want to anytime soon, considering I'm a college student still :D

  4. I could never get much into alternative stuff like this, but the song ain't bad :P

Honestly, I haven't heard a song I've disliked by the Arctic Monkeys - everything I've heard them play has been pure gold :D They're one of my favorite bands of all time, alongside U2, the Replacements, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Megadeth :D I'd actually place them ahead of Megadeth and the Replacements on this list :D

You should listen to more of their stuff - you won't be disappointed. They're one of the few true talents out there today :D

  5. Ooh, Arctic Monkeys. I take it you like Brianstorm from the same band? :)

Of course (even if I always misread it as "Brainstorm") :D

That's actually the song that introduced me to these guys, because I was watching my friend play it on Guitar Hero 5 and I was like "Ooo, I need to hear more of these guys" later that night :D One of their more hard hitting songs, but one of my favorite things about them is that they can change styles of music, going from songs like this to songs like Brianstorm and I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor without skipping a beat :D They're very diverse, and that's awesome :D

  6. Beautiful. This song is awesome. It's a shame that all we have on the radio nowadays is party and get drunk and... *shuddering* ...yolo...

I think I'm gonna check the album out. If I like it I'm probably gonna look for the CD somewhere. Thanks for sharing this. I haven't heard of Arctic Monkeys before and this song was awesome!

    Awesome!   :D

Some other good songs on that album are "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor," "When the Sun Goes Down," and "Fake Tales of San Francisco" :D

  7. Good points, but remember it's called a "Status Update". If your current status is that you're depressed, then posting a depressive status update isn't exactly going against the purpose of status updates. You can always remove someone as a friend and you won't have to receive their updates anymore.

It isn't, but there's still no point in it - people can still see it if it's a status update, whether or not said status update is in their friends list or not. You can't not-see status updates, even when you have someone blocked. Point in case, it bogs down everyone's good time and there's a whole sub-forum about that kind of thing, and, honestly, that's what friends are for. "It's their mood" doesn't make it ok for them to affect everyone else's mood, especially when there's a whole sub-forum for people seeking help, and, if you look, the threads there always get two or three replies.

  8. Speak for yourself. How can you possibly claim to know what's going on inside the mind of someone who's contemplating suicide? And to those who say "go tell someone in real life", again, speak for yourself. To some people, others on here are the closest to friends they have.

The closest friends I have are on here, and if I feel down, I don't post it in a status update or post or whatever to announce to the world that I feel sad. I talk to them about it in private - call me insensitive, but everytime someone says "I WANNA KILL MYSELF" in a status update, I automatically think they're doing it for attention. What's the point of announcing that you want to kill yourself to the whole world? If you want help, seek out a friend - if you're new or don't really have very many friends on here, there's a Life Advice section that I myself have made topics in, seeking out guidance.

All in all, there's alternatives that work out in the best interests for both parties, assuming the person in question is sincerely suicidal, and, if they were, and actually wanted help rather than attention, they'd utilize the life advice section or talk to their friends about it rather than spam status updates about it and deny any help.

  9. Personally, every time I see one of those types of things, I think "Well, why are you telling a bunch of strangers on the internet?" :derp: I get that people are depressed and all, but think about it - when you're telling this to a bunch of people who really are more or less anonymous to you, meaning that you don't really know them past what you see them say online, I find it hard to believe that it's anything less than wanting attention.

It's like running up to a group of strangers and telling them that you're going to put a gun to your head or go hang yourself - which, why would you tell that to a group of total strangers to begin with?

Just my take on the situation, though :D

  10. Twilight IS more powerful than her friends, in terms of MAGIC.

    ^this

Honestly, Rarity is a unicorn and I love Rarity. Hell, I borderline worship her, but even I say Twilight has more strength when it comes to magic. Not so much creativity or style, but Twilight is the ELEMENT of Magic. Her magic was stronger even when she was a regular unicorn. Rarity is still a better pony, though :D

  11. I'm a seasoned veteran when it comes to defending my best pony, even if that pony is Rarity, not Twilight, but forums are meant for discussion, and, to discuss something, you have to listen to the other side; you're not always right. I've been wrong before, just has everyone here. When you're fighting just to be right, you're not doing it for the right reason. Listening to others keeps these forums not only interesting, but harmonious and friendly. Sure, it sucks being wrong, I know that as much as the next guy, but when you've got this many people able to debunk your arguments and all you can really do is compare this show to a different show, when, in reality, there's only one scene from MLP that would fit in DBZ, which is the one we're discussing, I'm sorry, but that's when the argument has run dry.

I'm sorry, but I don't need to regurgitate what other people are telling you; just calm down and read what they have to say. Even if the foundation of a forum is discussing things, discussing is much different than arguing. You don't always have to be right, and, admitting when you're wrong is always the more mature thing to do.

    My regards to you, Daring.

  12. I like analysis and all, but, to be blunt, Digibrony is a huge tool. He has 0 charisma (he's about as interesting as watching paint dry) and seems to have too much bias; I have a lot of favoritism towards Rarity when I review, but the thing is I put it out there like "My reviews are entirely subjective." He's saying subjectiving things under the guise of them being objective.

I'd take everything he says with a grain of salt. He's not really too good - scratch that, he's a pretty sucky analyst. He has no charisma and no objectivity. Boo.

  13. To be fair, the dude's name is Confused Matthew :D

Really, while fighting tooth and nail to defend your opinion is not just understandable, but admirable, fighting someone else when you know you're wrong is kind of lacking in honor; as much as I hate being wrong, and as stubborn as I can be in getting my point across, if I'm proved wrong, I admit defeat. I don't keep fighting when I know I'm wrong, because I think that's sort of...disrespectful? There's got to be a better word for that.

Anywho, just keep in mind, while fighting tooth and nail as alright, remaining patient and knowing when to keep going and when to stop is really something that is easier said than done, but can improve your standard of debating greatly :D

Just my two cents on this.

  14. I defend Rarity on a near daily-basis, and, to be honest, as someone with MUCH experience in this field, defending her needs to be more of a reaction than anything else to be able to have full effect, if that makes any sense.

She has flaws, and we know this; so do the rest of the mane 6 :D

While you make some excellent points that I applaud, reacting to each claim individually and personally as you stumble across it is the route I recommend taking. It leaves more of an impression, you know? :D The more of an impression you leave, the better you get your point across. That's why I don't write blogs defending her unless there's an overwhelming amount of unfair criticisms being directed at her in a given period of time, which, the only time I've had to do that so far was when people were whining complaining about her "using Spike and not caring about him whatsoever" around the time "Rarity Takes Manehattan" aired. 1 on 1 is the way to go here, not a blog :D

The points you make are very accurate, though, and I applaud this blog for that :D

So, yeahh; being personal and taking on each claim one at a time is time consuming and is much more work, but it's much more effective in the long run :D That's what I personally recommend.

Also, most unfair criticisms that were directed at Rarity in the past are no longer being aimed at her. All of the mane 6 has their detractors, and if I were to say it has gone away, I'd be lying, but Rarity hate has had a sharp decline since season 4 started, which is a good thing :D

  15. I'd just like to point out, as the owner of a Rarity EQG doll, it cost me $25. I also own 5 Rarity brushables, and paid five dollars a piece :D

The dolls are more expensive, and therefore probably make more money :D They're also pretty popular with the younger fans of the show, it seems :D Even though it doesn't feel that way at times, there's fans of the show that aren't bronies :D
