    I just found out that a cartoon from my childhood was an anime the whole time. I had NO IDEA. It was before the anime boom happened in the US, so my child self didn’t know what anime even was.

    Here’s the episode I looked up first:

    Grimm’s Fairy Tale Classics, circa 1987-1988. I think I had a few of them on VHS.

    I had the memory pop up in my mind and when I looked it up, I was like... “Wait a second... this isn’t Western animation at all!” XD

      @ShadOBabe I'm not extremely surprised. Saban was really into anime for a while. Saban made one of the earliest dubs of Dragonball Z, and got the ball rolling on the dub of Digimon. These dubs aren't completely faithful, but they still have their place in history. :proud:

      @You It’s pretty easy. Just mix all the ingredients and cook it in a loaf pan.

      l must’ve messed up SOMETHING though, because the very bottom center of it stuck to the pan. Still tasty though!

      @ShadOBabe Stuck to the pan, you say? Next time, try lining it with Parchment Paper. Makes it easier to lift the loaf out of the pan, and peeling it off is as fun as peeling a paper wrapper off candy. :orly:

    DANGIT! Looks like “Kano” might NOT work. A least the way I want.

    Turns out the site that suggested the name labeled a kanji wrong:

    “曜“ isn’t the kanji for “day” as in sunshine, it’s “day” as in “day of the week”. And putting it together with “金” makes it mean “Friday”, or at least really close. XD

    Now I don’t mind that so much. “Friday” is kind of cute. But it’s not what I was aiming for. XP

    So I’m working on a My Hero Academia OC, and thought I’d share the name I’ve been working on with you guys.

    The superhero name was easy. It’s “Dawn Breaks”, and her quirk is called Hard Light. She can gather and solidify photons in the environment.

    But coming up with a suitably punny Japanese civilian name was SO HARD!! Not knowing the language is rough. I almost gave her an English given name. Between both her parents, she’s only a quarter Japanese, so I could have gotten away with it. But I think I got it down. So for now her name is...

    Kin Mitsuhashi (or Mitsuhashi Kin if you want to be a weeb authentic). I also got the kanji and hiragana for it...

    Kanji - 光橋金

    Hiragana - みつはしきん

    The kanji is where most of the effort went. It’s made up of the kanji for “light”, “bridge”, and “gold” respectively. I wanted it to be like the puns used in the canon characters’ names.

    So what do you guys think?

      Theres research that light can push objects... Anyway cuting is also considered crashing on impact... If you looked into a microscope youd see that it is being pushed and crumpled when you are cutting something...you just dont see it

      @Tacodidra Heh, it was my grandparents computer. Grandpa was in the tech industry, so they had home computers way before most others did at the time.

      And 4 year old ShadO used them to make art. XD
