I'll never get how people are okay with continuity errors and plot holes (well at least ones that have an impact on the story, aka the serious ones). Shouldn't we expect writers to not have those types of problems with their stories? It's just bad writing and I don't get how it's so excusable. It's like getting served a ham and potato dinner that has rat feces in it, but instead of refusing to eat it because it's ruined by the poop, you just eat around the crap and enjoy it anyway. And you may be right that every show has continuity errors, but again, we shouldn't accept that as standard for storytelling, it's bad writing and the writer can do better, and we should expect them to do better, to avoid these problems completely.

The difference with children is that they may be okay with it at the time, but later on, when they grow older and learn what exactly it was that they did back then, it will seriously fuck them up, because they will have realized that they did something perverted with someone they wouldn't have had they known what it was they were doing. Animals, however, never have this problem.

The law doesn't dictate what's right, tho. They do understand what's going on, they just can't understand the consequences, if any. Like a guy with an std could fuck a horse and infect it, and even tho the horse consented by allowing the sex to happen, it was not aware that jt could be diseased as a result. But nobody should be doing anything that could pass around their illnesses period. And yes, some animals are not physically compatible enough with humans, that's why I said it would have to be safe for both parties, Like nobdy should be trying to screw a house cat or chicken, that would be rape by default because there's no way they'd be okay with that since it would physically hurt them.
-
Not true at all, if they don't want it, they'll make it very clear through body language, which can involve you're death. Sex with animals is perfectly fine assuming it's physically safe and they don't show any indication they have a problem with it. You may as well say we can't ride horses if they don't verbally say we can, if to you someone or something can only consent if they say they want it. Body language can tell you everything you need to know.

He doesn't explain everything that happened....for whatever reason Honestly it sounds very underwhelming. Maybe the left out bits could make it better but I really doubt it. Whether or not there's a serious plot hole, I dunno. I've already decided to stop watching the show anyway, due to a moral view the show supports that seriously conflicts with me, so I don't think I'll ever bother to try and find out if there are any major logical errors in the writing of this finale. But maybe it just sounds too meh because it's a plot summary. Well I just ruined it for myself anyway, if it's true that is, but I'll still be able to judge whether or not it's good, even tho I'll know almost everything that happens.

Twilight Human: Not EG, Sparkle overload style.
Sir Wulfington replied to pegabeats's topic in Visual Fan Art
Something about style you need to understand, there's a difference between that and simply bad proportioning. Whether you're exaggerating eyes or the length of certain limbs, the character needs to look like it could actually physically function. It needs to be symmetrical. I also don't see anything....styled about it. You drew in a manga style and put glitter on it, that's not a style. The problems with this are the lack of depth (no shading to give shape to the subject) and poor proportioning. I could go into further detail, but all you need to do is google up an image of a human being and you can see what exactly is wrong with your picture. Honestly, it seems to be like you're doing something I used to do, you're forcing a style. A style is something that comes naturally to you, a way of drawing people or animals that you like, and as I said you need to make sure things are still anatomically correct. It has to look like the character could exist as a real living being unless the point is that it's supposed to look illogical, which I can tell is not what you intended. When drawing realistically or cartoony, you need to use real life references to make sure you're doing it right, and to understand how the lighting and shading work. And don't listen to the "artists" who claim that using references are bad, only a fool or a egotist who wants to feel superior to other artists avoids using references. Any good artist will use references to make sure they're work is right. Of course, you can memorize certain things, but it's always best to be absolutely certain. But don't even worry about style, you don't need a unique style. You can never know for certain if you're style is unique anyway (and I guarantee, yours isn't). You want your art to look aesthetically pleasing to you, that's all that ultimately matters unless you're doing it for other people. And there are all kinds of free guides for lighting/shading, anatomy, etc. online, you won't need art school. This is all assuming you want help, though. But the first step to improvement is admitting that you're not doing it right to begin with, if you won't accept that, than there's nothing that can be done. I hope you'll make the right decision. -

Season 4 Preview & Info [Spoilers]
Sir Wulfington replied to duidamasterXD's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Also keep in mind the pony of shadows story: "When I was just a filly, Granny Smith told me of an ancient legend. When Nightmare Moon was banished, not every last bit of her dark magic went with her. Granny used to say, when night falls on the castle, that magic takes the form of... the Pony of Shadows!" The shadow pony has yellow eyes like Tirek in the trailer, and I assume the pony of shadows is relevant to this season. All things considered, Tirek is the remnants of Nightmare Moon's magic...meh. -
Season 4 Preview & Info [Spoilers]

http://www.equestriadaily.com/2014/05/season-finale-villain-teaser-clip-name.html It's Tirek....and apparently he's a fucking monkey. Yes. A monkey. No, I'm serious. Maybe he's powered down and reduced to a....monkey form? He sounds different in this clip than the trailer, and looks different too. So ya, I'm guessing that's the case. -
He certainly doesn't sound very interesting. "Every pony will bow to my will", I mean I'm not saying he couldn't be interesting, and I certainly like blatantly evil villains, but yeah....I have a feeling he's just gotta be a generic "Mwuhahahaha ALL WILL SERVE ME!!!" type baddie with nothing beyond that, no explanation as to why he's like that. It doesn't even have to be sympathetic, it could be because he enjoys the feeling of being in control of what other people can and cannot do, the feeling of ultimate control, being on top of everyone. That would be better than "I'm just a dick". I wanna know WHY he's a dick, what about being a dick causes stimulation of his brain's pleasure centers.

The Lion King and Sesame Street have done it, why not this show? Death shouldn't be a concept that young kids should be unaware of, they're have to find out eventually. I don't think it'll psychologically damage them, as long as it isn't gruesome. The only reason I think it may not be a good idea is because this show's very lighthearted, and I'm not sure if you can have good guys die in such a story without it feeling too out of place.

A Death in the MLP series?
Sir Wulfington replied to CosmicHooves's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
As said above, Meghan confirmed that he's "dead now". And tho he did regenerate his horn, keep in mind he was alive at the time. It's likely that theres a part of his being that allows him to regenerate parts of himself, like fictional creatures that can regrow their body parts. However, destroy the creature's body completely, and there's nothing left to restore. The science of this is that there's this thing inside their body's that causes lost bone, tissue and flesh to regenerate, and when the entire creature is destroyed, that part of them is destroyed with them, thus preventing them from continuing to heal themselves. -
Nah, if they're gonna kill them off, they shouldn't confirm that there's a pony afterlife. Having an afterlife, well a good afterlife, ruins any sadness death can create in fiction. They don't have to confirm whether or not there's one, but they should at least leave it ambiguous forever. And I doubt the writers will just because of the nature of the show, not saying death in a kids series is bad, but I think it may be a little too grim for the light-hearted nature of the series. They can kill off villains like because fuck them. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's not too dark.

Ahh, I understand your concern about it a bit better now. I can't say I agree completely, but I do see why this sort of thing would bother you.

Thanks for understanding, I expected to get made fun of by people reading. I'm just saying, if the show wants to portray wealth inequity as an acceptable thing (and I believe it is), okay, go ahead. But I want nothing to do with it, then.
