I'm really baffled by how ANYONE can like Flash Sentry; *cardboard* has more character than that walking stereotype.

As previously said, romantic interest can begin anywhere. You don't always start with a detailed analysis. And it's actually pretty common to be flustered around a crush. By the way, she was flustered long before Flash (being thrown into an alternate universe can do that to ya). Twilight centered herself towards the end, just as Flash became flustered when asking her to the dance. Pretty straightforward stuff.
-
That's the point. Flash Sentry attitude towards her is no different how could act anyone else. For this the romance between those two has nothing interesting. Pair Twilight with anyone else on ponyville and, name aside, there will be no differences.
Love can begin anywhere just like it can end quickly.
-
I really do understand where you're coming from. And I agree that there isn't enough to solidify that relationship yet. That's why it'd only be a start. If they built on it, then it could feel real (just as they could with anyone else). Flash and Twilight were never actually a couple. It was just a little crush.

Josh Scorcher taking a month-long hiatus for two reasons: schoolwork and preparing to file a restraining order against Lily Orchard.
No one wants to go this far, but if filing an order of protection means Josh finally retrieving security and mental peace, then he needs to do what he has to do.

@Sylveon I’m a bit late to the party on this point, but I don’t know Sylv... I personally would refuse to be the friend of someone that ran a fanclub for frickin’ Hitler. That goes a little beyond politics and into “heinous crimes against humanity”.

Back from seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I won't spoil it, other than it's 1 million percent better than the prequels.

I agree it was a really good movie, and for me my rankings are:
Return of the Jedi
Empire Strikes Back
The Force Awakens
A New Hope
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the Clones
Phantom Menace
I have a few gripes with the Force Awakens, but they're minor and don't hurt the movie all that much.
Return of the Jedi is still my favorite, though.

*guffaws* I'd rather have anyone, brony or not, wear fedoras than pants that only reach halfway up their legs.
-
I said it earlier, and I'll say it again. AnimatedJames wouldn't be stuck in this drama if he didn't act like an ass at BronyCon, including appropriating a female brony's art to make a rape joke in a family-friendly event. He has nobody to blame but himself.

Well, that's all true. It's amazing how the fandom still manages to stand as strong as it does, however, considering how many times it knocks on the door of self-destruction. In the end, you'll always have some that will just dwell on the drama, and others who will just enjoy the good in the show and the fandom and see where it goes.

As anticlimactic as Newbie Dash was when revealed she was promoted to Wonderbolt, it was nothing compared to the rest of the more major and fatal flaws in this horrible episode.

It doesn't matter how much money an athlete makes. They're still human. They should be entitled to establish boundaries to accommodate their humanity. If Naomi Osaka doesn't want to speak to the media for the sake of her mental health, they should absolutely respect that boundary. The disgusting treatment towards her by the media and especially the Grand Slam body during the past few days is ableist, racist, and more than proved her point. They treated cockroaches with more respect than her, and because of that, one of the best athletes is forced to bow herself out. Shame on the Grand Slam body!

We have totally derailed this status update thread!
@Dark Qiviut and I have been friends for a long time so I'm sure he knew this would happen.

@cuteycindyhoney Apple Bloom really conmits on Nightmare Night.
-
I think based on how Tommy Oliver stereotyped the fandom as his reason to quit the show, I wasn't going to not call him out. *smh*

Once Upon a Zeppelin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fame & Misfortune.

It doesn't exist *yet*.

So, Josh Scorcher couldn't muster a review for Appleoosa's Most Wanted. Well, I think I got an idea: Why the episode SUCKED at comedy.

Wow. 11 out of 12 Patriot game balls were two pounds lighter. Any fan of the NFL should feel disgusted by this news.

The question has been asked - why didn't the refs notice? The only reason I can think that they wouldn't have noticed a deflated ball, barring incompetence, is if the balls were gradually deflating over the course of the first half - as if they were naturally deflating due to the weather and other influences. One ball wouldn't feel too different from the next, so the refs wouldn't notice. This would also explain why Jackson (or the Colts' ball boy, whoever it was) noticed,...

Cultural appropriation is a VERY real societal problem. For example, the Native-American community has a long history of having their culture being treated as a costume (i.e., the headdress). To say cultural appropriation never existed is a bold-faced lie.

I hope Robertson's reputation will be like what Anita Bryant was in the 1960s/'70s: hate speech financially biting him on the ass.

Is Siege of The Crystal Empire worse than the '14 Holiday Special? No. Is it worse than The Good…? Don't know. Is it worse than the Dash Micro? Yes. Is it worse than Reflections? 10 times worse.
-
Of the FIM episodes, which are the ones you legitimately HATE?
-
Of the T'sK video analyses I've come across, Tommy Oliver's is my most favorite because it's very fair. (I haven't watched Dr. Wolf's yet.) Mr. Enter's is by far my least-favorite because it came across as a callous attack on Digibro and the analysis community instead of an actual review.

I hope not. I still like Digibro, Tommy Oliver, and TBBBAP (who will probably get roped into this), despite me not agreeing with them. Hell, I disagree with you constantly, but your opinion is just as valid is mine.
Why did he have to do this? Did he not learn from the Byter drama? I am upset with this event regardless, so I'll be keeping an eye on him.
-
It's safe to say that, for now, the "FIM is going downhill" kvetching can be put to rest.

@K.Rool Addict I can name many episodes much worse than Times.
Newbie Dash being one of them.
-
@Dark Qiviut Yep. I can name about 100 episodes worse.
Newbie Dash is a pile of shit. It does nothing right.

Hey, yo, dude!

It was only a matter of time: Hawaii legalizes same-sex marriage! *parties*

Other than the forum, RoundStable has been rather inactive.

It's safe to say Teen Titans GO! completely sucks.

Cartoons aren't "just" cartoons. They are a culture that send psychological messages to people of all ages. A product can try to attract kids/tweens, but their parents and/or guardians are the ones responsible to choosing what entertainment is safe for their kids can watch or play and which ones to avoid.

You don't have to, Flipturn. You explained it succinctly and clearly.
Car, if you're going to get your opinion respected and not ripped to shreds, back it up. "It's a cartoon" or "it's a prototype" AREN'T good reasons, because cartoons have a psychological, cultural impact on society, even if implied.
-
Just because the characters are flawed doesn't make every single action they make okay or in character. If they act out of character, unlikeable, have no justification for their actions, and especially don't get punished, then it's daft to accept "they're flawed" as an excuse.
-
*closes the Reflections arc* Let me make it perfectly clear. There's a difference between a flawed character and shoving a flaw into a character. Reflections sees it as the former, but is in fact the latter. If this was an actual episode, it'd be worse than Dragon Quest.

I give it a 9.5/10 subjectively, because I find it to be extremely entertaining and it's centered around 2 of my 3 favorite characters
If I were to call it partially, I'd give it a 7.5/10. It's got flaws but it's still very enjoyable and the flaws itself aren't breaking the comic any. Rarity and Applejack fans alike would really get a huge kick out of this comic, especially since those two fanbases seem to hold the other's pony in high regard most of the...

@TheRockARooster No apology necessary. That motherfucker deserves it.
