  1. People don't have to kill it themselves and cows aren't very cute, so it's magically okay? I don't know.
  2. 1) Letting your impulses get the better of your head and principles. 2) Not questioning the status quo, the majority, or what you see. 3) Me, me, me! Preoccupied with yourself and getting attention for yourself.
  3. Seems strange to kill the giraffe if organizations capable of caring for it properly are willing to buy it? But, yeah, I can't complain about cruelty. They can afford to put him down quickly after a (hopefully) decent life in captivity. Animals that don't need to die do all the time so that I can have cheeseburgers and bacon, which is not much of a justification compared to avoiding inbreeding.
  4. I agree. If conflict and hate could be resolved with reason, we wouldn't have the kinds of problems we do in the world. The recent duckface might be ruining our "better than social networks" cred, though.
  5. Bleu cheese? Anyone? I had in once and I was in love.
  6. We're not the type for fanciness or traditional dates, so the two of us are going to rent bad romantic comedies, eat chocolate, drink wine, and have a laugh. We both think that having romantic dinner dates where everyone can oggle you as you stare dreamily into each others eyes is strange, too. I've also noticed that despite the resistence to Valentine's Day online, the only ones actually talking about how pathetic and shameful it is to be alone are the ones who are single and feel bad about it... No one else I see cares or notices.
  7. I wouldn't say I'm a misfit since I don't stand out, I'm not excluded, and I'm not disliked. Classmates, clients, and coffee shop baristas are usually neutral to friendly and I'm welcomed back. Which doesn't do much for me since, while I don't seem very different, I'm on a completely different social and emotional wavelength than other people, meaning these always remain at a distance. I'm never really "one of them."
  8. I have a very quiet voice, but I like all the upbeat songs like Love Is In Bloom and A True, True Friend. It would sound bizarre.
  9. A male with gentler, rounder features.
  10. I suppose it is easier to have one's own personal fairytale land where there's nothing to worry or get upset about when the victims are always their own problem. I don't believe it's solely the parents' responsibility, though they're also accountable for their child not being a menace to other people or other people's property. When something wrong is happening, everyone who knows should say something - especially when the problem isn't going to fix itself (see: parents who don't know or don't care that their child is bullying). Silence might as well be support in some cases. I'm especially disappointed when it's the teachers who don't care, but I've known for a long time that there are teachers who only took the position to pay the bills and don't like kids.
  11. I'm secretly 12 years old and love cartoons. To provide an actual answer, though, it's a fun, colorful cartoon with a lot of variety and all the fan content puts new spins on what I watch so it's usually pretty stimulating to be involved with.
  12. A friend linked me to this earlier, and it actually brought me to tears. I love kids and it breaks my heart that an 11-year-old would suffer so much over so little. I also don't understand apathetic attitudes towards bullying or the belief that children should just shrug it off. If they're too young to drive, get married, work, drink, vote, or own property, why aren't they too young to be expected to withstand regular physical and psychological torment? Those things are all too much for them because they're children, but they should be expected to handle being shoved, punched, spit at, stalked, mocked, put down, ganged up on, shut out, gossiped about, and more without batting an eye?
  13. Imagine if all the time and energy people spent online insulting each other's religious or political party, stalking people like Chris-chan, and trying to force people to stop masturbating to cartoons was spent on real issues. Imagine if it went towards something like poverty, tearing down the stigma of mental illness, or bullying.
  14. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: The Glorious, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Gabby, Looky-loo Engine brought me here. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: In secret, I gave it a chance after hearing so much about it from so many people. The best thins are always first done in the middle of the night, with headphones on, in the privacy of your room. Just getting this out of the way!
