  1. Great review!

I was a bit disturbed by this game when I first played it, personally. It was all colorful and happy at first, but whenever I left for a month or two I would return to my neighbors stating how sad they were that I had left, and how everyone had panicked because I went missing from the village. It was somewhat depressing, but that is my only complaint with the game.

My personal favorite aspect of Animal Crossing has always been the act of catching fish and insects to give to the museum.

  2. Thank you everyone for participating.

While I appreciate the concern shown by some here, the fact of the matter is that none of you have access to all the information. I'm not trying to be mean-spirited and dismissive -- that's just the truth. We don't like airing dirty laundry in public, and it behooves me to say that these sorts of discussions, though sometimes pursued with the best of intentions, are not helpful. It's guesswork at best, misinformation and hearsay at worst.

Bear in mind that we find ourselves banning a lot of dummy accounts. Such accounts are often used to circumvent certain forum restrictions. Warnings are then often issued to the primary accounts, which may give the appearance of people "disappearing" without a trace. More often than not, however, these are "members" who have multiple iterations.

We do our best to accommodate members who break the rules, but sometimes rules are broken and warnings must be handed out. More often than not we'll send a PM rather than give a warning; however, repeat offenses will happen.

Our decision to withhold information is practical: we don't want to fan the flames of drama, and it would be laborious to publicize each and every single ban on record. It's not a matter of maintaining some sort of aura of secrecy; rather, it's a matter of privileged information.

In sum, please avoid trying to figure out a public problem with little more than inference.

I understand, but you have to at least consider how efficient and productive this would be. Secondly, if everyone's "dirty laundry" is aired, people will be less likely to complain about ban decisions because they will know what happened. "Guesswork and misinformation" would also cease to be an issue if my idea were adopted.

Now, if the laundry you're handling is really quite dirty, you would simply put "User banned for [ ]" and leave it at that.

  3. 1) I have one friend

    2) She got banned for getting into a fight with someone who was bullying her and almost drove her to suicide

    1. Yes, but most I never really talked to that much. 2.I heard about how they were banned because of other members, but so far all their reasons are valid. Rules are the rules, and if any member does something that is against policy, than they must face the consequences. The mods are only doing their job by doing what is necessary unless proven otherwise. :)

    Thank you for participating.

  4. I think that you're doing great! But since you asked for honest responses, I do have a few suggestions.

My first applies mostly to Cover 4, in which you sounded very enthusiastic and passionate, but seemed to stretch a few of the notes out longer than they needed to be. And yet it was very enjoyable and cheery nonetheless.

I think Cover 3 was the opposite. You hit all of the notes almost perfectly, but sounded as if you weren't enjoying it as much. (I'm not sure if this is true.) Just remember to have fun singing yourself or the audience might not feel as into it.

Overall I think that you have done a very good job, and please remember that I'm not like a voice expert or anything. XD

  5. @, The biggest reason Derpy was added on the roster was because Lauren Faust noticed how likeable and popular she was in the fandom (so popular to the point of rivaling some of the Mane Six). She planned to have Ditzy Doo (a completely unrelated character) into the show, but that was dropped and replaced with Derpy. Although Faust doesn't work on the show anymore, several of her friends still do, particularly the animators (when she's not written in the script, they're the ones who usually include her into the show, not the writers). The fandom and DHX have a very close relationship that goes well behind the scenes, and the reason she's there is to tell those that. Funnily, Derpy has shown to be pretty popular outside the core fandom.

Dropping Derpy from the show would be a MAJOR mistake for the reasons I already outlined. The biggest one is their relationship: If she's dropped from the show permanently, then you'll do nothing except make people wonder if DHX really cares about their audience.

Wow.  I never said to drop Derpy from the show. But nice try.

  6. My first hypothesis would have to be that her appearances are the result of the fanbase having too much influence over the show.

If the creators would just do what they thought was best for the show and dropped the brony garbage I'm sure the series would be a lot better.

  7. I pray that someday I will be able to look upon this country with appreciation. That I may one day look at our flag and feel an overpowering sense of pride and love for the country I dwell in, that I may one day look at our government and feel it is of the people.

Your prayers will never be answered.

I don't love this country because I pretend it's perfect, I love it because I have faith in the American people to make things better.

If you feel there is reason to complain, you must, as many of us have, take the weight of this nation upon your shoulders.
