Everyone calm down There are different variants of the Ebola Virus. The mortality rate ranges from 25 to 9o %. Not too bad, right ? It's not a 100 at least so, you can still go through it, right ? Next, I hear some people say that the incubation period is 21 days. That is not entirely correct. Like I said, there are different variants. The incubation period could be anywhere between 2 and 21 days. Also, there may be no known cure at the moment, but, they would still do anything they can to help you make it should you catch the virus. You need to trust the doctors. Finally, the virus has very little chance of ever reaching France or the UK. Let alone the US. As long as it says in West Africa, you'll be fine. We are not looking at a "Walking Dead" or "Planet of the Apes" scenario here.

Well, they can use their magic to lift objects up. So, I believe it is a physical force. Hence, a magical blast would hurt you just like a normal blast (because it is a force). That is what I think. Now, electricity is also a force. But, you know, being a scientist, I find it really hard to place magic. So, answering this question seems to be impossible to me. Sorry

Well, in China, they have little grey worms that they sell in restaurants. And me, as a stereotypical European, I was like : "There is NO WAY I'm eating this." The worst thing is, you eat them ALIVE. When you put them in your mouth, they still move and stuff. Anyway, I wanted to please the Chinese people I was with, so , yeah, I did eat those things. And guess what, it was absolutely gross... But, again, I am a stereotypical European, so I knew I would not like them before even tasting them. I wish that you guys are more open-minded than me. I spent ages wondering whether I should chew them or actually swallow them whole

Well, I think they could address issues like that in the show as long as they keep it mild, I guess. I mean, Derpy (or whatever she's called) obviously has a handicap. Not sure whether it is a physical or a mental one. About OCs, I don't know, because I am not into roleplay. Asperger's Syndrome is still called Asperger's Syndrom. Some books consider it to be a form of high-functioning Autism but this issue is still under debate.

Hello, Happy to hear this issue has been resolved.

Why does everyone have to swear all the time?
boiteporte replied to Alicorn Fluttershy's topic in General Discussion
I never swear. Even if I'm really angry. People do not swear at me either and that is because they are adults. And adults do not swear at people who are not their friends. However, if people want to swear, they sometimes do so because it makes them feel better. And that is OK by me. But I am not one of them. -
technology My Computer has Some Weird Temperature Readings...
boiteporte replied to Zygen's topic in Media Discussion
I would set it at 80. 90 is too high. The CPU will shutdown at 100. This is a standard for all modern CPUs (Intel and AMD). There is nothing you can do about the shutdown temperature since it is a built in safety measure.- 19 replies

technology My Computer has Some Weird Temperature Readings...
boiteporte replied to Zygen's topic in Media Discussion
I don't know about Fahrenheit. But no, 70 is normal. Trust me. The BIOS is not in the startup menu but you can access it by pressing a key during startup. The key depends on what BIOS you're using. It is usually DEL , F10, F8 or F2. And yes, AMD CPUs have integrated graphics unlike Intel. So, in your case, the graphics chipset is integrated in your CPU. It is integrated in the motherboard only for Intel based sockets.- 19 replies

technology My Computer has Some Weird Temperature Readings...
boiteporte replied to Zygen's topic in Media Discussion
Hello, Well, from what you told me, the temperature on the CPU seems perfectly normal. 70 degrees is the average temperature for a busy computer where 50 degrees is the typical temperature for an idle computer. Just to be sure, you might want to check the alarm setting on the BIOS and set it at the desired temperature. The computer will then beep if the temperature of the CPU becomes higher than the temperature set in the BIOS. Normally, the CPU can withstand up to 100 degrees and will normally shut itself down if it reaches that temperature (Be aware that 100 degrees on a CPU will reduce its life cycle). However, what seems strange is the temperature on the graphics card since it cannot physically be 1 degree. However, my explanation for that reading is that you don't have a graphics card since you have an integrated graphics chipset in your motherboard and that might explain the dodgy reading on the GPU. I hope my answer was useful If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.- 19 replies

I strongly believe they are weak push-overs. You cannot expect much from ponies who worship the Magic of Friendship. The only pony who is not like this is Twilight. But , she only got violent because she was cornered and really had no choice at all. Ok, they can get a bit aggressive every now and then. But, it will never go much further. About the fight with the Changelings, that might have been an exception. However, with King Sombra and Discord, they were defeated not because of the ponies themselves but because of magical artifacts that the ponies used (The Crystal Heart and the Elements of Harmony respectively).

Yeah, I agree with the Walking Dead ( the Telltale series). The end of season 1 almost brought me to tears. I played only a bit of season 2 but it looks like it is as desperate as the first season.

Yep, I can. I remember the first time I went to China, I was invited to a restaurant along with Chinese people. The first time was kinda humiliating. As a stereotypical European, I ended up asking for a knife and a fork..... But, I learn fast, and it was much better later on.

Could Big Macintosh have a slight health problem?
boiteporte replied to ggg-2's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Well, snoring does not necessarily indicate a health problem. There are various causes which could lead to someone snoring. And they are not all related to health issues. A few issues are : The tissues at the top of the airways touching each other, causing vibrations. Relaxants such as alcohol or other drugs causing relaxing throat muscles. Sleeping on one's back which may result in the tongue dropping to the back of the mouth. -
I have an i7 4790k and a GTX 780. My computer runs on Windows 8 64 bits. You'd think that with a computer like that, you would be able to run all games with everything maxed out but no. Watch Dogs does give me some trouble sometimes. EDIT : Hey, I'm Bunny

technology E:/ (Documents) Drive no longer visible...
boiteporte replied to a topic in Media Discussion
Have you ever heard sound coming from your computer ? Such as clicking sound ? The symptoms you are describing are typical of a dying drive. You might want to make a backup of your files on another drive before it's too late. If the drive disappeared permanently from the computer, that means it is most likely dead. However, the data is physically present on the hard drive and it is possible for specialists to recover it. The prices range from a few hundred to a few thousand British Pounds depending on the amount of data to recover.
