  1. First off welcome to the herd. You're one of the cool kids now. Secondly, some random things I havent seen mentioned yet : -Bronycon was the first and is now the largest convention for bronies, but it is not the only one; there are a bunch all around the world to as far as Australia and Thailand, and theres definitly a lot in the US. I've never been to one, but I hear theyre a real hoot! -Don't feed the parasprites (trolls) in the comment sections of videos and forums who bait bronies, they just want to make us look bad or paint us as immature. The best way to turn the tides on them is to not play their little games, and ppl will realize that someone who goes all out of the way to bully people because they watch a certain TV show are the one's whose maturity should be in question. -Lauren Faust is seen as the shows main creator and a supporter of the fandom (Along with Tara Strong, Tabitha St Germain, Ashley Ball, Peter New, John De Lancie, and all the other Voice Actors, staff, and writers) -Daniel Ingram writes many of the show's most popular songs. Some Brony-isms: -Fluttershy is a tree -Scootaloo is a Chicken -Sweetie Bell and Applebloom are Dictionaries -Luna and Trixie have a major presence in the Fanbase :comeatus: -The Season 3 finale is a fairly big landmark in the fandom. Some would argue it created turmoil within the Brony ranks It caused the fallowing quote: (jk it didn't but I felt the need to do this) (A quote from a fanfic by Kkat, my personal favorite Its a pretty popular Fanfic, ) Well thats all I can think of right now. Hope you enjoy the herd!
  2. There are a bunch from many different people on daily motion, not sure if its legal exactly, but I've never seen them taken down. I plan on watching them when they air though. I joined the herd during the hiatus, so I have yet to experience the excitement of watching a new episode, but now that season 5 has a release date, I am feeling the HYPE!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!
  3. Gosh, I hope its not getting worse... That would be The. Worst. Possible. Thing!!! I've never felt the excitement of watching a new episode before, only reruns, since I discovered ponies between S4 and S5, so I really hope this isn't the end of the good stuff... I'd definitely say Season 3 was probably the worst season overall, and season 2 is my fav, but idk what to say about S4... It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't horrible or anything.. -_-
  4. How bout a battle scene? Like, not just the Mane 6 vs (insert your enemy here) but like 2 armies: Royal Guard vs Changeling army for instance. It happened in Canterlot Wedding, (Mane 6 vs Changelings was pretty good, I admit )but we never got to see the soldiers facing off until it looked like the Guard had been mostly subdued.
  5. Hitch, 2012, or the Terminator, and probably others im not thinking of. I would tentatively say A new, 500% better version of Avatar the Last Airbender... maybe...you know what, nevermind, I can't risk it...
  6. I saw it too dude! They were in patriots gear I think. That pretty much made my day...
  7. OMG you beat me to it. I was just about to post that there were ponies in a commercial! I guess bronies are worth marketing to in a NFL commercial! OHHH!
  8. If i transformed into a real world pony, I'd freak out and cry, and do everything I could to change back! BUT if I was a mlpfim Pony... I think I'd like that. I mean, having a 2/3 chance to be able to fly or do magic isn't too bad. Of course, I wouldn't be able to pick things up with my fingers, or eat meat, and walking would take getting used to... . I guess it really would have to come down to if their was a significant mlpfim pony population to hang out with, if I could speak english, and if I'd be able to fly or do magic. If I could do those 3 things, I think I'd adjust pretty well.
  9. "Earth Ponies are Numbskulls!" -Commander Hurricane "Pegasi are Brutes!" -Princess Platinum "Unicorns are Snobs!" -Chancellor Puddinghead :okiedokielokie: Zebras: Stripe ("Better Wiped than Striped") Thats all I got. I honestly never thought about racism or races in this show, except where it was obvious, like episodes with zecora or the buffalo tribe.
  10. I know that feel... I have no privacy from them or my sis! they just barge in and see me, and I'm sputtering, "I...I...I..." And they say, "Aha! I caught you watching ponies!" Then I say "You saw nothing of the sort!", insert some lame excuse, and then squee.
  11. I am exactly the same way. I always watch MLP on Dailymotion, and whenever so much as a cricket is heard, I either tab away or slam my computer closed and whirl around. Real smooth...
  12. OMG I totally agree. It already took a little while for me to work up to watching Equestria Girls, and then when Flash Sentry was introduced, I was thinking, "Just....No. Don't. Please think of the children." Yeah, I'm interested in how they're gonna do Discord this season, (which they better have ). He can't be all "lord of chaos" but he's not exactly happy or free in Equestria. Maybe he should just go and make his own country or something, idk!
  13. Dude if Ponies in movies were shown at the same level as those movie series, I think I'd die from too much awesomeness... I am going to be daydreaming of that day forever now.
  14. I got one. So I'm filling out the Chapman University application on the common app with my college counselor at Starbucks. We were going over some of the fun little questions the university puts out to get to know applicants. Then we come across this question: "What is your guilty pleasure?" So my counselor asks me, "Well, do you have a guilty pleasure you could put on the application?" And of course, I immediately think of ponies, since I am almost always thinking of ponies now-a-days, but she doesn't know I'm a Brony, or what a brony is. I say, "Ehhhhhh, welllllll, I'm not too sure..." "Oh, well thats fine," she says, "We can just work on that one later." A week passes, and we meet again, having answered all of the other questions but that one. My counselor says, "Ok, well we can't move on until this question is answered. You must have something you can put down here." I ponder this for a second, and then hang my head in defeat, as I put down that I love MLP and am a brony. My counselor just stares at it for a while, while I turn completely red, and Starbucks starts to feel like the inside of a volcano. And then after a pause, she finally mutters, "My little pony... huh..." And that was it...
  15. Oh, my bad. I did a search for it but nothing came up. Woops
  16. I believe it was called "Reflections," and it took comic #s 17-20 or something like that to finish the whole story. One of my favorites as well.
  17. Oh my gosh! Samurai Jack was one of my favorite shows!!! I was completely crushed when it just got cancelled. One of the best shows on Cartoon Network if you ask me. As for worst ending ever: The Last Airbender movie ending...actually just the entire movie was bad...actually, lets just pretend there was no movie...
  18. I love the idea of some fight taking place somewhere, and RD being called upon to fight since she is part of the reserves. Though its doubtful that they'd have a fight on the show, i still hope for it! I agree, Rarity's a big shot now, she doesn't have to fight for the approval of the elites, she kind of is one. I think it'd be cool to see her expanding her business. Maybe have an episode about her trying to find somepony she can trust with running another Carousel Boutique in another city. I believe it's confirmed that there will be an episode with Twilight dealing with the loss of her library.
  19. I just saw 'The Interview' movie last night, and I thought it was hilarious! Granted it was a bit too raunchy for my tastes, but I still thought it was great. They threw in plenty of real DPRK references to make it funny for people who have been keeping up with North Korea in the news. Anypony else seen it? What'd you think?
  20. Ooooh, this is a fun topic! some of these suggestions are truly cringe worthy. -If everypony in Equestria turned into an alicorn. -Twilight Marries Flash Sentry and he is still a bland, pointless character. -have some kind of bad crossover with another Hasbro show -Kill off one of the mane 6 -Turns out Equestria is a whole different planet, humans colonize it, and oppress the ponies. -Pinkie explodes (twice) and turns into JarJar Binks from Star Wars. -The Mane 6 undergo some age regression turning them into fillies, and they stay that way and act like children for the rest of the show. -The mane 6 start acting very unlike themselves, just to fit an episode. -They push trying to sell toys too hard. -The show comes under new management, and it turns sucky. And worst of all: -At the end of G4 series, Megan (the Human from G1) wakes up... and it was all just a dream... :okiedokielokie:
  21. Three pony plushies, some snazy new clothes, tickets to Elf the Musical in SF, a pair of fancy gloves, a batman poster, and time spent with my family. :twilight: :har: What a great Christmas!
  22. Happy Hearth's Warming Day!!!

  23. I'd heard about the show thru a friend who was an ex-brony (or so he says he is) and I always poked fun at him, as well as a cousin who works at anime conventions and gets annoyed with bronies asking her where their booth is. I just thought the whole idea of watching MLP at my age was weird. After that, I started noticing all this stuff on the internet. So finally, when I had some free time in June 2014, I just sat myself down thinking, "Alright, it can't be that good. Lets just see what all the fuss is about." So I pull up that first episode online. I watch. Then I think, "Ok, well this one's a two parter, so I gotta watch the other one." Its not bad. The ending seemed a little cheesy, but the Star Trek sound effect when Twilight goes Avatar State makes me literally laugh out loud, and convinces me to watch another. And another. And another! I can't tear myself away. Oh god, what is happening to my brain? Is this even the real world?! I finish half of the first season in one sitting. My brain is now filled with: And I ask myself, "Did I really just spend all that time watching MLP and really really love it?" The answer is yes. And it was that day that I learned that resistance to the Herd was futile. So I kept watching, and I haven't regretted it since!
  24. Actually, they do have background stories that they go over in the comic book series. Pretty good stuff.
