I don't follow hockey(I'm British so it's not as big here) but regardless you did the right thing I'd say. Not only did you defend yourself, but you also defended your team. Now I'm not sure what the rules are in terms aggressive conduct in hockey so I might get this wrong, but it seems that this guy would've continued to aggravate both you and your team and by the sounds of it, you certainly took him down a peg or two. So yeah you did the right thing, defending yourself and what you like.

Why are YOU Playing the Waiting Game?
Commander Shep-herd replied to True Rarity's topic in General Discussion
Whilst I'm waiting for a lot of things, the thing I'm waiting for the most at the moment is my exam results from college. Next Thursday couldn't come any quicker. -

Who else prefers the night?
Commander Shep-herd replied to Commander Shep-herd's topic in General Discussion
You know it's too bad that the night is considered so much more dangerous than the day. Otherwise I'd really love to sleep under the stars or get some music and take a midnight stroll. -

I was just curious because I think a lot of things are better when it's night. Rain is better. Thunder and lightning are better. The sky is better. Cities look awesome at night as does the countryside and other areas. I find it more peaceful and relaxing. Plus people seem to have a lot more fun at night. So yeah, just wondering if anybody else agrees.

So I've just finished Fallout:Equestria. Thought it was an excellent read mixing two of my favorite things into a well-written story. But I was wondering, what do I read next? I was going to go onto Project Horizon, but I just want to know if there's anything I should read before that? Is there an official sequel to Fallout:Equestria or an order I should go in or can I just go straight into Project Horizon?

Does anyone else think WW3 may happen?
Commander Shep-herd replied to Stone Cold Applejack's topic in General Discussion
It's possible, but anything is possible really. MAD is the primary and main reason why WW3 won't happen anytime soon. -
movies/tv Worst Voice Acting You've Ever Heard
Commander Shep-herd replied to Castle Bleck's topic in Media Discussion
That goose though! And the piggy cheerleaders! When I first saw this, it had me in hysterics. How did this 'game' get the green light? And in terms of worst voice acting, it was either going to be Animal Soccer World or The Town With No Name. -

gaming Games that you replay every so often
Commander Shep-herd replied to Enemy Stand's topic in Media Discussion
Mass Effect 1 through 3 and Fallout 3/NV. They're so memorable and addicting to me that I can't help but want to revisit them every so often. -

I'm very impatient. I seem to have inherited it. I like things done quick so if something is slow, it annoys the heck out of me.

gaming If you could live in any video game world, what would it be?
Commander Shep-herd replied to AveryGamerDude's topic in Media Discussion
Tie between the Mass Effect Universe and the Fallout Universe. -
weird/stupid things you did as a kid.

-Went to a park with my childminder. A girl was stuck on a swing, as in she couldn't slow down. So I tried to grab the swing. Ended up getting hit in the face. A few teeth had to be taken out after that. -Thought my parents were Dementors (don't know why). Hid in the Shoe Cupboard. Realized there was no door handle on the side I was in. So, ended up being stuck in a shoe cupboard for a bit. - My parents told me about this one. When I was a baby, my parents had put a table in front of the window to stop me messing with the net curtains or something. I somehow climbed onto this table and was stuck halfway in a gap between the window and the table. -
This story has just turned me off the fandom!
Commander Shep-herd replied to Rarity Paige Belle's topic in Sugarcube Corner
This is an isolated incident. You shouldn't be turned off the fandom because of it or any fandom really because of one incident. Hell it doesn't even say he did it because he was a fan of MLP, nor does that t-shirt show he is a fan. A lot of people blame GTA and other games for violent crimes, but I can bet you'd still be a fan of that game, despite the 'connection'. And I put that in quotes because they shouldn't be connected because in the end, it's all to do with the mental state of the individual. -
who likes the tv show with chef Gordon Ramsey in them
Commander Shep-herd replied to Luna 831's topic in Media Discussion
I live in the UK and he's not bleeped out here. But yeah, it does seem he swears in almost every sentence he says during service so a little less swearing wouldn't go unappreciated. -
who likes the tv show with chef Gordon Ramsey in them
Commander Shep-herd replied to Luna 831's topic in Media Discussion
Gordon Ramsay just makes me laugh (in a good way) when he gets angry. I watch Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares when it's on and I like them. Some of the stuff he comes out with is pure gold. Please forgive the explicit language, it is Gordon Ramsay after all. -

Have you ever come close to death?
Commander Shep-herd replied to Onylex's topic in General Discussion
I remember one time I was swimming with my school. I don't exactly float in water so I had basically gone under. The strangest thing, well from what I can remember, I could've sworn I had seen myself in the water. I'm not really a believer in 'out-of-body' experiences but that's what my memory conjures when I think back to that day. Didn't need resuscitating. I just kind of came back. Sat on the side out of the water for the rest of that P.E. lesson. -
I've played a considerable amount of games within my life. There might have been a worse game but at the moment it's Brink. the story is forgettable, the character development is poor, the graphics seem off and the weapons do not feel like weapons. The free-running is all but useless, essentially allowing you to jump to a slightly higher point than anyone else The sound from what I remember, especially in the voices, was tinny (though could be my TV). But the one that sends this game into my personal gaming hell is the dreadful, headache-inducing, ridiculous and dumb friendly AI. The worst AI I have seen in a game. It's always me that takes the important objective, while the rest are... I don't know! I hardly ever see them covering me. So yeah, one of the worst games I've played.

Your Opinions of Pinkie Pie
Commander Shep-herd replied to Slice0Pie's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I am a big fan of Pinkie Pie. I would say she was one of the main reasons I started watching the show. I love that she's so wacky, random and funny and she makes me laugh. And I love laughing! Plus her control and awareness of the fourth wall basically makes her a god (or pretty damn close) and a pretty powerful pony.- 65 replies
