  1. I really don't see how there is substantial evidence to back your claim. You presume that because Celestia has "ruled" over Equestria for a thousand years and that Equestria has apparently prospered during this time that the former is necessarily the cause of the latter. Unfortunately there is not enough evidence to support this claim because any information regarding Celestia's level of involvement and influence on the functioning of Equestria is not given enough focus so you're just talking out of your rump. Correlation does not equal causation. https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/false-cause And you also state that because Celestia has ruled for as long as she has, and is apparently the only recognizable ruler that Equestria has ever had, that she inherently proves herself the most qualified candidate. This is nothing more than a circular argument. You might as well say she's the best because she's the best and it would have as much substance. If the only standard for someone's ability to rule is their age then that's just nonsensical ageism and discrimination, and experience isn't everything. There's no way you can know that somepony else wouldn't be just as qualified as Celestia is at governing because it's a undemocratic system that doesn't allow frequent changes in leadership. https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/begging-the-question Dualistic diarchy it was intended to be? Wow, I'm so glad that we have you here to shed your exclusive insight on the political destiny of a fictional world. If Equestria was always meant to be a "diarchy" then why was it able to supposedly prosper so much with Luna banished to the moon? It would seem Equestria doesn't really need princess Luna around when Celestia can raise both the sun and moon. However just because I said that doesn't mean I agree she's the best possible ruler, I don't believe sheer magical prowess is an indicator or precondition for governing ability. Trixie in the episode 'Magic Duel'(S3,E5) is a prime example of this. https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/genetic If Equestria was not what it was meant to be for over a thousand years and both Celestia(for banishing her sister) and Luna(for betraying her sister, causing her banishment) were responsible for this then that would clearly contradict your earlier statement that they are the ideal rulers. The fact is Luna jeopardized the security of their kingdom by virtue of her petty jealousy. Celestia can be considered the best ruler for Equestria largely because she's been the only ruler of Equestria, not counting villains like Discord and Sombra who are clearly painted in a negative light for characterization. It's also important to consider that there is very little known about the actual details of her tenure other than that everything seems to be mostly okay most of the time except for when a crisis emerges and she gets Twilight and Co. to deal with it. How outstanding. Since Celestia is obviously not a villain and intended to symbolize a motherly role model to be emulated it's obvious why the creators would try to give her practically zero flaws and present her as perfect. Certainly it's an easy way to avoid any actual development for her despite making her somewhat boring in the eyes of many. But the thing with perfection is that it's entirely subjective, and Celestia's character, and her position as the matriarch, qualifies as anything but perfect to me.
  2. The flash animated grass is always greener on the other side of the screen.
  3. Yeah! Neon colours are the shiz. Reminds me of the Lite Brite days of years past...
  4. No, I will not be purchasing any of the above shown items nor do I desire to be given them by anyone else. I think they're a waste of time and money and only insult my view of the series. I understand that Hasbro is primarily a toy company and that this is their product but that does not mean I have to like or condone that fact. Anyway, all the alicorns'/unicorns' horns look so wrongly dimensioned that it just feels insulting to my eyes.
  5. I think you're giving this guy far too much credit. If anything his comments will have generated more interest in the fandom and it's likely some of his subscribers will look into MLP and perhaps discover it appeals to them. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened, I speak from experience.

I'm not referring to any recent personal experience just a general outlook I possess. I agree that ignoring trolls and haters is typically best but even this requires resilience to some degree.

Is to hate one of the essenses of the human being?

I'm not sure, but I think it's more of a choice. Hatred is a very common aspect of the human experience though.

  7. Took the words right out of my mouth. Why would anyone be concerned with what this person says regarding this fandom? The culture's in decline, mainstream anyway. Get used to it.
  8. Well that seems to be the case mostly in Ponyville as other cities(Canterlot, Manhattan) have been shown to possess more reliable architecture. I don't know why Ponyvilleans(?) seem to prefer medieval style housing. I guess it's just to look more folksy and charming for the kids.
  9. Well it's their decision. The only people it's going to hurt is their shareholders. Still pretty lame though. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeh.
  10. Posting on boring threads. I can't get enough. Maybe you should think about changing your display name to Mello, it suits your tastes better.
  11. I'd start an internet revolution. Cuz I'm roughshod.
  12. Sure. Who do you most admire and why? And could you beat them in a fight to the death?
  13. I'll say what I like and express whatever opinions I choose. If you don't like it you can ignore me or go somewhere else. Condescending buck. You're only giving yourself more trouble by focusing on it. It's not something you can really change so why not just move on?
  14. Be that as it may, I still wouldn't want to shake their hand or brohoof them.
  15. Perhaps you could explain why you think age is the determining factor in how much a person enjoys holidays? I don't see a line of reasoning here just a vague assumption.
  16. Welcome to the Internet. This kind of stuff just happens. That may seem like an overly simplistic answer but that is the reality.
  17. Perhaps we are not really designed to be happy, only to seek happiness.

Some might possess happiness and others might not, I can't speak for anyone else's happiness. I just think that for the most part it's a a largely transient state of mind, not a permanent condition. I don't really think it should be anyway, life would be boring if my experience was limited to one emotion.

      Noei

Well, then all that depends on how is yor definition for happiness.I thought that happiness can be defined more than a state of feelings. But then I am too lazy to explain and my english sucks so just saying.

A discussion like this would be more appropriate for a forum than a status. Maybe I'll look into that.

  18. What is it about ice that appeals to you? Do you have an emotional or psychological attachment to cold/winter?
  19. Well it's nothing special but I like to think it gets the job done.
  20. Could you beat Mr.Freeze in a fight? What about Iceman from the X-men? Do Windagos pose any threat to you?
  21. Every Superman movie after Superman II. Especially Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and Superman Returns. Just garbage. And let's not forget Rocky V. Ugh.
