  1. I can envision this as a sign behind the counter at an ice cream parlor. I'm a sucker for advertising, and I'd buy every one. I don't which is my favorite. Awesome idea.
  2. My absolute favorite is ornitholestes I had a picture of one hanging on my bedroom wall when I was a kid. This dinosaur needs more popularity. It's only known from a small partial fossil, and may or may not have had a horn at the end of its snout ...unless a new discovery has been made recently. I haven't really been keeping up on any dino news lately. ...but I voted for parasaurolophus. It's such a CLOSE second favorite for me. I like the hadrosaurs.
  3. Ha, fashion crimes. This is my favorite one so far. Those horn cover things are a pretty neat idea.
  4. There are so many great actors in there, mr. jameson... YES!! ...and Lowell from wings, the sandman. You're right, he's pretty awesome too.
  5. Thanks. Light... is... hard to make look good. It's something I have a hard time trying to figure out. Anybody out there that can make amazing lighting effects, I applaud them. Wow, thanks.
  6. Motorcyclists rule. I'd wouldn't mind having one, but meh, I'll stick with a car. There's a zillion bikers around here, about half of them look like santa claus. I like seeing how some of them decorate their bikes with random stuff. I know a lot of people that think they're annoying because they're loud and like to posture to one another, but that's just "their thing". I'd do it too if I had a bike.
  7. Thanks. Yeah, in a perfect world I'd love to catch a glimpse of Octavia dressed as an octupus or something in the background of a future episode about nightmare night. I do too! Yeah, she sure does. Actually, instead of Octavia, I started out painting Lyra as Doc Ock. I got as far as her head and mane before it dawned on me... Octavius ... Octavia. I felt stupid for not immediately connecting the two. So I started over, and I'm glad I did.
  8. Thank you! Spiderman 2 is one of my favorite movies thanks to Alfred Molina's portrayal of Dr. Octopus.
  9. Dr. Otto Octavia... When I finally realized it was a thing, I couldn't stay away from it. Lately I've gotten into the habit of starting projects then never finishing them. Not this one! Thanks to this three-day weekend, I was able to finish it without becoming distracted by something else. Also, this is the first thing I posted on here since I bought a tablet. It's SOOO much easier than with drawing with a mouse.
  10. That looks great! It's a HUGE improvement from the old one. Ponies in jail, heh, I like that concept for some reason.
  11. This simply amazes me!! I just had to stop lurking and comment on this. You're very talented! Also, nice job with the pictures OF the figurines.
  12. Teamwork! That's one fine-looking giant pony.
  13. I LOVE fursuits! ...at least pictures of them. in person, I'm like a deer in headlights. They sort of freak me out, unfortunately. also, I'm pretty sure I've seen 8-bit 's wolf suit before... somewhere.
  14. what an awesome idea! I want in! The coloring has already been done, but i felt I had to do it too so I didn't violate your rules... you know, color THEN you can draw. Attack of the giant pony!! ...So can anyone jump in to color? This could be a mega thread.
  15. The bleeding tooth mushroom!(in the OP). It looks fantastic! To anyone who hates mushrooms: There are way too many species of fungi, chances are there's one out there you'll simply fall in love with ...you just haven't found it yet. Personally, I love them all ...a lot. My facination with mushrooms takes up a lot of time in my life. You know there are coral fungi, right? ...probably your worst nightmare. It's a pretty big family of mushrooms containing all sorts of really awesome shapes and colors. A lot of them are common, and most people walk right past them without even giving any notice. Here's one that frequently grows around here, Clavicorona pixidata. Triple-crowned coral fungus. I took this picture late last year. They were everywhere!
  16. process shots... yes! That base sketch is neat. I like your stuff a lot, you should post more.
  17. Hmm, after I sketched it out I probably spent around 7 hours of actual work in GIMP. I did spend a lot of time playing around with it trying different things. I don't know if that's a long time or not, it seems like some projects take me forever, and some turn out great in hardly any time at all. I keep talking myself out of buying an art tablet so I'm just using a mouse for this stuff. Sitting down making a ton of pathways is sort of relaxing.
  18. I'm worlds away from that, but thanks. I got a bit lazy towards the end, and deemed it 'good enough' just to get it done. Now that I look at it i see mistakes and think to myself, "whoops, I didn't notice that last night." Oh well. I'm happy with it. Thank you!
  19. holy cow, that sounds great! You make me want to drag my dusty ol' guitar out of the closet just so I can learn this song.
  20. Thank you. Every home needs a Lyra of some sort. Heh, you have a very enthusiastic way of writing. Thanks, glad you like it.
  21. I sketched this out a while ago, but other projects came up and I never worked on it past the initial drawing. Today I sat down and finished it. I REALLY wanted to work on it, so I put everything else aside. Drawing Lyra is just too much fun ...she is best pony after all.
  22. Well, I like them. In fact, I'm going to imagine the book she's reading is about ornithology.
  23. oh wow! I really like this one. The colors really compliment each other and the whole thing has just the right amount of simplicity. So... are those birds or bats?
  24. that's very nice. I like the fog. Also, the geometry of this painting gives it a really satisfying feeling ...the tree line in the middle of the painting with the dock extending straight out.
  25. I'm a closet Courtney Love fan.
