  1. Welcome Sky Striker! I'm kinda new here too. But as I delve deeper and deeper into the forums and see how many new people show up everyday, I have NO DOUBT that you will find lots of friends here! I hope you have a great time here and always feel welcome by your fellow Bronies and Pegasisters!
  2. At first, I was just like "haha! Derpy's eyes are all messed up! That's funny!" But as I have delved deeper into the fandom, discovering Brony songs ("Autumn" by Blackgryph0n and "Great To Be Different" by Forest Rain), and reading the fanfiction about Carrot Top and Derpy (which is really sad), I have come to discover that Derpy has grown into something more than a simple animation mistake. She is an aspect of all of us - our imperfections; our noticeable differences from every other pony. And I have come to see her as a symbol to look up to. We are all different. And our differences are no reason to look down upon anypony. Celebrate your uniqueness! .....also, she has laser eyes! lol
  3. Being new to the forums, I almost feel like this could get me on everypony's bad side, but I enjoyed it. Yes it is offensive and crude at times, but it is also stupid and silly. I almost look at it as being in a similar vein to https://www.youtube.com/user/BadLipReading (Bad Lip Reading). Someponies with an overactive and surreal imagination took existing footage and voice over things the original characters would NEVER say. I will always love the original series better, and that will always have a more profound emotional impact, but I can still laugh at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon calling Apple Bloom and Twist "stupid heads" - because it is such a poorly conceived insult. I'm certainly not going to try to convince anypony why they should or shouldn't like the show. But I think it is all in good fun, so don't be too offended by it!
  4. When I find something I like, I have very few qualms about letting people know I like it. Same goes for MLP. I was first introduced to it by Shael Riley, who if you are not familiar with his music, go and check it out. It is really good chiptune alternative music (I know, what does alternative even mean these days?): https://shaelriley.bandcamp.com/ Anyway, he and and a nerdcore rapper called Beefy did a podcast of miscallaneous songs, each one of them picking a track in tandem. And one of Shael's picks was the Alex S. remix of the Cutie Mark Crusaders song. I loved it! After the song finished playing Shael explains to Beefy about how he was introduced to the show and his thoughts on it, and just his description made me think "alright... a show whose target audience is young girls is being enjoyed by grown men?!" It was just too weird, so naturally I had to check it out. I watched the first episode... and then the second... and third... and nth... all the way to the end of the first season. I was hooked! And then I had to wait almost 6 months for season 2. So I would say I declared myself a brony after the first two episodes.
  5. Steve, did you have a hard time relating to - or getting along with - your family? If so, I am sorry to hear it. Family is just one of those things. We can't chose them, but we can still chose to love them.
  6. So excited for this. But not as excited as I am for the return of the fifth season! Also, I hope there will be more emotionally strong episodes like "Amending Fences" in the second half. Still brings me to tears. I can definitely relate to Moon Dancer. It's hard to make friends when you have been in a situation like that.
  7. I didn't even realize this was a thing until today. So Bronies compile their favorite youtube clips and make them into a film? And apparently there has been one each year since the show's inception? I hold the show very close to my heart, but I have to admit I was laughing hysterically at this!
  8. Hey BlueBrony! Yeah, I noticed that after replying to your comment. My bad! Hey Flutterstep! Good to meet you. Yeah, I will definitely be making an effort to talk to people on here, and I will definitely message you if I want to talk about something.
  9. Cool beans. Thanks Parasprite! Do you have a website/soundcloud/etc? Thanks Gamer Pony! I definitely think I will like this place! Wow! There are a lot of programmer/music people here. I'd love to see some links to your stuff if it is online. That's what community is all about! Wow, you're a bubbly character ooBrony! I think the non-pony world really needs more of that. Also to everyone else, sorry - I got your names wrong! (I was looking at the rank instead of the name) Wolves, Kyoshi, and BlueBrony! Definitely, Midnight_Sketch! Friendship is... well, you know!
  10. Thanks DashYoshi. I'm glad to be here! I'm a Java developer. I haven't done much with C++ since college, but if you ever have a development question, feel free to bounce it off of me. I will try to help if I can! Jonas Darkmane, thank you for the warm welcome! Also, I love that Pinkie Pie animation! Oh, and I realize I forgot to mention the name of my music website: http://www.evbpmusic.com There are a bunch of mp3s there if anyone wants to check them out. I'm loving this place already!
  11. How did you find MLP Forums?: Searching the web. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Shael Riley mentioned it in a podcast that he did with Beefy. Out of curiosity, I checked the show out and fell in love with it! Hi! I am a software developer by day and a song writer by evening. I have been a fan of the show since the summer of 2010 and like many of you (I think), I relate to the characters and their situations. I feel like the mane 6 are good friends of mine! I'm also thoroughly impressed by the music of MLP fans and find the original video content created by someponies to be very entertaining. I'm not usually one to get involved in forums, but I would like to build some friendships here!
