Iv'e had this topic in my head for a few days now, and now i wanted to release a poll!

 

How much does every pony love Our special Derpy Hooves?

 

 

My answer is: YES!! I love derpy hooves so so so much!!

 

She is one of the best ponies in the show.

Well not everyone loves derpy, but a lot do . I like her just because of her overall derpyness, and all of her random appearances. (Like when she was in the snowglobe) I don't just like her JUST because of derpyness, but the personality given to her from the fandom.

I wub derpy. She dropped an anvil onto Twilights head and she broke town hall. In fact after breaking town hall she was the reason Applejack wanted the ribbon so badly. She is also Immortal. She was in the crownd when Twilight was getting her cutie mark.

Also she gets invited to EVERYTHING. Pinkies parties, the grand galloping gala AND shining armors wedding! How does she know Cadence/Shining armor I dont know but she was THERE! She said. "Oooh a wedding! Im so there!" And you know what.

Actually, that sums up how most characters (Primary and Background) would be if fanon became canon. Sadly, all of that crap either comes from fanfiction on EQD, Fimfiction, or Google Docs, Deviantart, or memes, and most of it is well liked. Among the more obvious:

- Every screwed up thing in this fandom.

I don't like her more than I like Vinyl Scratch... I mean, Derpy's fine, but she's not close of being one of my favorites. Tbh, I think Derpy had her moment in the show already. Now I want to see the other background ponies talking too. :|

 

Oh! Even better! An episode fully centered on the BG ponies! Would also work to give the Mane 6 a little break too, and it would obviously please the community to no end... But now I'm getting way offtopic. :|

I lean neutral-like toward her. Obviously she's a great background pony and even a potentially good side character (even though I felt her scene in "The Last Roundup" developed her a bit too quickly...), but her quirks have ran out of steam for me. I don't even look for her while watching the show. In other words, I can't hate her, but I most certainly don't love her.

Not really. Vinyl is the only background pony I have an actual fan relationship towards, all the others are just kinda like 'whateves'. Derpy included. I think it was interesting to see how her name was actually made Derpy by Hasbro before soccer moms whined about it, but other than that, I don't have a big attachment to her character.

She's a running gag. She's become somewhat of a icon to FiM, therefore people have become well accustomed to her.

 

As for me, I can say that I do think she's a funny character from what we've seen of her clumsy-like behavior, but other than that; I can't really say I love the character. As there's just not enough information known about her.

I don't see what's the appeal of Derpy, her color schema is ugly and she's not cute at all, and that appearance she had with Rainbow Dash made Derpy look even worse to me.

She is an animation error, she shouldn't be Derpy in the first place...The only thing that I might like about her is that she is a path for me to understand that Hasbro is actually listening to bronies, for mentioning her name (a name that we bronies created) in the show, after that, Derpy is super meh! to me.

 

I don't feel identified by her as a brony in the slightliest, because the producers made her look like she is stupid, mentaly retarded, extremelly clumsy and dumb, and her crossed eyes are the icing on the cake, that's an evil thing to do to the poor pony, I'm sorry but I don't want to have that pony as my brony insignia. I don't know about you bronies.

Sparkle, her daughter, was always really cute though...
