  1. I don't think we'll see Hope in the main series. Nothing originating from the comics has been introduced in the show yet.
  2. There were some pretty intentional call-backs. However, this episode was about how hard it can be to keep an exciting secret, while in Green Isn't Your Color, it was a subplot about not revealing the feelings A has for B (as it's not your job to do so). Thought this was one of the most hilarious episodes ever. Everything just clicked.
  3. I would say there's something sinister about Starlight Glimmer, but going by dictionary definitions, "sinister" seems to either be something that looks like it's evil or intending harm, or something intending harm. Starlight Glimmer neither looks evil, nor does she actually intend harm; she believes what she does is not only the best, but the only way to harmony. Sombra definitely looks the most sinister to me. Tirek intended to do the greatest harm simply for personal gain, so I'd call him the most sinister one.
  4. Oh yeah, possibly. Although if the weather would just control itself without pegasi (like in the Everfree Forest), Luna and Celestia would still be around to raise the sun and moon, and everypony can brew potions, I don't think they would have too much of an edge over the rest.
  5. Pretty sure Even if there was an unicorn that could create potions to make things grow fast or could control the weather, I doubt that unicorn would have anywhere near the amount of control and quality that any earth pony or pegasus would have.
  6. And an alicorn baby would be "meant" to be the princess of something. Doesn't mean they have to be the princess of that ASAP. I don't think the show has ever called Cadence the Princess of Love, so before she was the ruler of the Crystal Empire, she was technically not princess of anything.
  7. I don't believe babysitting was the status quo for Twilight. Cadence being the Princess of Love, I doubt she'd make babysitting the status quo just because she's royalty (she will probably have to do it semi-often though). Twilight wasn't a princess of anything before the end of season 4. I guess we don't really know if alicorns are ever born unless they're goddesses, but like any other pony has to earn their cutie mark to know what they're good at, an alicorn baby probably also has to discover what they could be princess of.
  8. I don't see why being an aunt would carry much responsibility. I do hope we get to see some development on the baby before it's born, but honestly, we're talking about characters that only have a few appearances each season. As mentioned, an episode focusing on whether or not they're ready to be parents would tread the same territory as Baby Cakes, although I guess a clever person could somehow put a different spin on it. I'm sure Twilight getting a niece, and that niece most likely being a fifth alicorn, means it will have some spotlight. Whether we will have an episode focusing on it before its birth is up in the air. It's not like the worries about becoming a parent is something super relatable or relevant for the intended audience anyway.
  9. I'm soon going to be writing a large school project on MLP and FO:E, comparing them as examples of an utopia and dystopia respectably. I don't think ponies are truly racist, but sure, they are not all perfect beings. It's the closest you'll ever get to an utopia while still being a setting you can tell interesting stories in though. It's generally a very well functioning society.
  10. We really didn't need to see why she had the particular ideology she has. I kinda hope we won't see it either, but for the sake of guessing, I think she was just jealous of other ponies talents, and blamed it on inequality causing disharmony, rather than her own pettiness being the cause.
  11. She never seemed like much of an antagonist in the movie to me, except at the end when she got a taste of ultimate arcane knowledge. None of these characters seem like their was much story potential in keeping them as antagonists. Some say Trixie's redemption was rushed, which it might have been, but with Twilight turning into an alicorn, she wouldn't be much of a rival anyway.
  12. I was pretty surprised at Twilight being the most popular princess in Canterlot as well, but I guess the "new and shiny" factor makes sense.
  13. I don't think we've ever seen somebody get a cutie mark for something they weren't good at. If it was based on one's own perception of things, ponies wouldn't struggle with finding out what it means. I don't personally think a cutie mark can change, otherwise, what's the point of it?
  14. Minuette was pretty great in Amending Fences as well. Background pony is probably Derpy, just because she's the most fun in the background. Supporting pony, I lean towards Minuette right now, but I might change my mind once I've thought it through.
  15. There's been some good emotional things this season, but I also think the show has always been like that. Ever since I read Fallout: Equestria, one of my tear canals has been claimed by poni.
  16. You can do worse than being the number one assistant of the Princess of Friendship.
  17. Look forward to the Hearth's Warming Eve episode then, judging from the synopsis. I guess a big family reunion episode could be... interesting? Although I have to wonder what the premise would be.
  18. Spike is at his best when he's a supporting character in another pony's episode, especially when that pony is Twilight, see Lesson Zero, It's About Time, Amending Fences, etc. I'm not sure where his character could move to.
  19. Those were the only ones to really know each other, and that was mostly because they both originally lived in Cloudsdale, and the incident we saw in The Cutie Mark Chronicles. Point is, I don't think there's a ton of story there.
  20. They are, and I would be sad to see them go, if that's actually going to be the case for Larson and Meghan. Still, I would like to see an interview or something where they talk about that stuff before I start drinking away my sorrow.
  21. I guess that's an option too, but again, if the show is still going strong, why kill it?
  22. They'll most likely greenlit a season 7 based on season 6, I'm just counterarguing the semi-popular notion that they would design and write the movie as a show-closer, since if it's a huge success (and considering that they're going to open it world-wide, they seem to not be fooling around) they'd want to have the option to continue onward. I know people would dislike if the show ended because of declining popularity and possibly declining quality, and would rather it ended in a big, show-wrapping finale, but there's no way for us to tell whether or not the next season is going to be awesome. And until such a time when I find that pony has started to generally decline in quality, I will continue to wish for more pony. Assuming pony will stay successful and excellent for the next two seasons, what I really think Hasbro is wondering about is if G4 will grow stale in terms of toys, and whether or not it's time for G5. And the movie will probably largely decide that. If it's a hit, it will cause a surge in G4, and they'll want to continue it. If not, they'll probably order a final season to wrap it up, and then get to work on the future of the brand. I think we both know that it isn't about fairness. AKR has left for Disney yes, which is sad, but as long as you get new talented people, it can continue. Haven't heard that M. A. Larson or Megan McCarthy are supposed to leave the show, even if he wants to write more books and she has a new job title. Head of storyboard sounds still pretty involved with the show. Lauren left the show after season 2, and people cried havoc, but as long as the people who take over are talented, the world won't end.
  23. Which is fair, but every season can be the last one if Hasbro decides not to order a new one. Magical Mystery Cure was originally written as ending the show, but then they got renewed for a fourth season, and it was changed to leave room for more. And while the Cutie Mark Crusaders getting their cutie mark seems like an end to their journey, then the episode very explicitly says it's merely the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, where they get to help others discover their true selves. Could season 6 be the last? Maybe, but as I've mentioned, they will probably want to see what the movie does for the brand before closing it, so I'm pretty confident that they'll renew it for a season 7, as long as DHX doesn't somehow screw up season 6.
