  1. It will probably have a pretty huge threat. How big is impossible to say. We know that it will take place beyond Equestria, we know that it will be an adventure-type deal, and that's basically it.
  2. That's easy, Sunset Shimmer will continue to not ever be mentioned in the show, just like every other EQG element, and we'll probably see less and less of Equestria-Twilight in EQG movies.
  3. It was her bedroom, the other beds were brought in only for this event, while the king sized bed is the only bed that is usually there.
  4. Intent is important to me, and while Starlight Glimmer caused alternate apocalyptic timelines, she never intended for that to happen, she just wanted to punish Twilight for ruining her "utopia", by taking away the special treatment destiny gave the Mane Six with the whole Sonic Rainboom Connection.
  5. I think most people mistake Starlight Glimmer's background story as a reason for villainy, instead of merely being a reason for her believing in the ideology she believes in. The only thing she does wrong is going a bit too far in trying to prove that she's right, which in the finale had the unintended consequence of leading to the apocalypse. On the topic of sympathy, here are the ones I don't sympathy with: Sombra is a force of nature bad guy, I know the comics have an arc saying otherwise, but I don't care about that when we talk canon. Chrysalis is an invader, sure she does it to "feed" her people, but when has "hey guys, we need your resources" been an excuse for invasions? Discord is a guy who wants to have a good time at the expense of everyone and everything, because that's who he is. Tirek is Tirek. Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings were dicks because they wanted power. I guess Trixie wanting people to think she's great and powerful, Gilda simply being how she is because that's the society she was raised in, Luna becoming Nightmare Moon because she was jealous and Starlight Glimmer wanting to create her utopia to prevent herself from ever being hurt again are relatable to varying degrees, depending on who you are. I will probably give the award to Gilda, because I'm a sucker for sociology. How is that like Starlight Glimmer's situation?
  6. You mean besides the fact that she's obviously the main character in Mare in the Moon and The Elements of Harmony, is the character who is actually tasked with learning about friendship, and is the character who eventually grows wings and gets a castle?
  7. Celestia and Luna were once cool, we know that, which is why people are puzzled by how they let the Mane Six handle everything since the return of Nightmare Moon. Not a problem I have, but it is a thing. Also, while ruling Equestria for a thousand years solo shows that Celestia is a capable leader, it doesn't mean she's actually especially "powerful". Celestia was beaten by a Chrysalis who'd sucked a bit on Shining's love and couldn't beat the Sombra Army in a way the elements of harmony would be able to in the Sombraverse.
  8. Twilight has "hogged" two parters since forever. The only two-parter where she isn't the obvious main-mane character is The Cutie Map, which balanced out the fact that we mostly only saw alternate reality versions of the rest of the mane six in The Cutie Re-Mark (and honestly, the story would have suffered if the rest of the mane six original timeline versions where tacked on).
  9. I thought it was pretty funny, and based on how little we saw, it seems silly to dislike it so much when it is all assumptions. Who knows what happened in that timeline to lead them to smash everything?
  10. I doubt Sunset Shimmer will ever get recognized as existing in the show.
  11. I loved the Sombraverse, and based on the polls, so did most people. I don't think any of them were suuuper emotional, I was mostly excited by them, but in theory, I suppose the post-changeling invasion world was pretty sad.
  12. I think pony is very rarely "bad", and find that whenever people call out certain episodes as bad, they aren't much worse than the rest, and is simply about certain things or gripes those people are personally bothered by. That said, I do think there were some less than average episodes, the main ones being Appleoosa's Most Wanted and Princess Spike. They were just kinda "meh". Originally I thought Bloom and Gloom was meh as well, but I did actually find it pretty funny, and it has a pretty important subject (and it fits pretty well put into the perspective of the entire season). Episodes I thought was a bit shaky, with some bad elements, but saved by some good ones, is Made in Manehattan (boring, but had a great morale) and What About Discord? (pretty strange episode, but Discord is great, and I found the idea, the way it was explored, and the use of real scientific approaches interesting). Is there a "top season 5 episodes" thread too, or is that something somebody still has to make?
  13. Seemed pretty dystopian and fascism-ish to me. Nightmare Moon is an example of a leader who wants to rule for the wrong reasons and motivations. While Celestia maintained both day and night in her sister's absence, Nightmare Moon wanted to rule using eternal night, because she's jealous, greedy and petty.
  14. I actually feel like there's way too little Twilight outside the two-parters. And honestly, Twilight IS the MAIN main character, it has mostly been about her learning about friendship, becoming the princess of friendship, etc. Sure, she needs her friends and the experiences they've given her, but she's the connecting piece.
  15. What? It wasn't too long ago people complained about how useless Celestia and Luna is compared to the Mane Six. And the only things Cadence have ever done is grabbing the crystal heart and using the power of love with Shining Armor once.
  16. You must be kidding, the end of Crusaders of the Lost Mark makes it super obvious that the CMC will continue on helping ponies get their marks. "Our journey has just begun" and all that.
  17. Would it really mean anything though? Twilight isn't related to anybody special as far as we know, and she's still powerful. Unless it would be part of some deeper plot, I don't see them randomly mentioning it. The idea that stuff like that is inherited kinda makes me "eeeeh" as well.
  18. Think her cutie mark just means she's good at magic, like Twilight's (and Sunset Shimmer's). - Some episodes showing CMC doing their new thing. - Fleshing out Starlight Glimmer a bit more with some episodes centered around her. - More map episodes. - Discord! :3 - Further progress on the Cadence / Shining Armor baby. - More new locations! - More mythical creatures! - More adventure episodes!
  19. Rainbow Dash is actually my least favorite Mane Six pony. Rarity is absolutely great though, don't know why people wouldn't like her. "Because she's feminine" seems like an odd and immature reason, given what brony fandom is a testament to.
  20. Considering Luna apparently does most of her work solo in the dreams of ponies, and have kinda crappy working hours, Celestia.
  21. As others have said, it's catchy and it represents one of people's favorite things about the show, namely its upbeat positivity.
  22. I don't know, I don't think the issue was that he hadn't gotten Spike down, but rather that Spike is always at his best when he's a side character to somepony else, preferably Twilight.
  23. Makes little sense to me to have this big movie with a global premiere be the end of it. If it's successful, then I doubt they would want to have to deal with the fact that it's done, instead of capitalizing on the success. If it's going to end, then they will have the ending be in-show.
