    Without Twilight's humility and introspection, as well as a willingness to learn, she might have become someone more like Starlight, someone who is ruled by Pride and Delusion, an idealist who whose ideals don't work in reality since she needs to ignore them to make them work even in part, this is what I see in Starlight Glimmer. Her idea is doing terrible damage to those she's persuaded to practice it, but she can't even see it... because she's deceived herself, so completely that she isn't willing to see the falsehoods within her own practices.

    Fluttershy was tough with the breezies because that was what they needed from her in terms of kindess, it was kinder to be hard on them and make them leave, then to allow them to stay where it wasn't safe for them. Angel is an entirely different case, besides, she loves him, it's that simple...

    Though Twilight and Fluttershy are my two most favorite pony's, I think they get plenty of hugs from others, the pony I believe needs the most hugs is Diamond Tiara, because I feel she doesn't get enough love at home, so I'll have to offer her my hug, if I must pick one pony.

    Generally, at least within my head cannon, based on the observations I see, earth pony magic is more instinctive and innate then the deliberate magic's that Unicorns and to at lesser degree, Pegasi display. But actually, considering their close ties to the earth itself, this only makes since the earth is solid and enduring, rather then in constant motion, like the wind, which I see as the pegasi elemental.. or radiant and warming, like light, which I see as the Unicorns element..

    I am also glad I resisted the temptation to watch this one early, due to it's leak, it was much better watching it on Halloween aka Nightmare Night itself. I'm glad to see a episode focusing on the pony who embodies kindness, and I certainly understand her choice at the end, even in fun, I don't enjoy seeing friends frightened either, I am usually very apologetic even if I startle someone by accident. So I empathize a great deal with her decision, even if I thought she had an awesome costume. On a side note, has anyone else noticed that the map has sent applejack, rarity, rainbow and pinkie out to places, but other then the episode it first appeared, hasn't sent twilight or fluttershy out yet? I hope we get a chance to see these too in action before the final.

    As my favorite of the main six, I feel I should chime in here first of the fan clubs, though I think I'll also drop by a few others before I'm done, also love the pictures folks. ..she is adorable.

    So, having recently joined, I feel a desire to chime in on this one, I've watched and re-watched this episode dozens of times, trying not keep in the liquid pride... it's been a failed effort. I understand the issues folks have with pacing, but over all I view it as necessary to make this the jewel that it is within the many episodes of mlp. While I admit that putting this much into a single 22 minute episode can be rough, I hope that they explore the growing friendship between Diamond, Silver and the Crusaders in future episodes.. I believe there is rich ground to explore there. Lots more I could say, but I think most of it has already been said.

    My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: Looking for MLP related stuff How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Starting watching a few episodes with my niece, thought it was interesting, went back and starting watching other episodes on my own.. fell in love with the entire series. I am male, 40 years of age, my hobbies include reading, especially science fiction, playing rpg's, both table top and computer games, and I tend to look for and believe there is deeper meaning in everything (which is part of where the pony name Reading Heart comes from). My real name is Kevin, which means kind one, and I try to live by it, no surprise my second favorite pony is Fluttershy, as personality wise I'm a bit of a mix of her and twilight. Over all, I love all the mane six and quite a bit of the rest of the cast though, it's just twilight and fluttershy remain at the top of the list, and I enjoy the virtues each of them embody and teach, and the lessons that can be found in every episode. I have two cats, several nieces and nephews, and care a lot about my family, willing to make sacrifices for them.. I value humility, love, kindness and honor, which explains why this show resonates with me so much.
