  1. Maybe not alicorn, but it's true she wasn't my favourite at first, since I'm not too fond of villains. The way the premier ended though! :awuh: I couldn't help but feel really bad for her. Betrayed, heartbroken and all in the cold, but mostly alone - her greatest fear. While everypony was rejoincing, I was thinking "okay but...it's not a true victory here if it's built on Starlight's pain...". Had she not genuinely believed in her philosophy and merely used it as an excuse to become a dictator, then sure, victory. But here? I probably was one of the few who wanted to find her and give her a hug I can't wait to see more of her, see her finally truly befriend the Mane 5 and not just through "friendship lessons", genuine befriending from both sides.
  2. Twilight, always trying to understand, now trying her best to spread the word of friendship. There are many other reasons, so I'll just say she's the one I can relate the most to...runner-up being Fluttershy. :awuh:
  3. Never considered that before, but you're actually right... "I tolerate you" vs "I respect you". "I tolerate your opinions" vs "I respect your opinions". Huh... Guess being tolerant is like saying "I don't like it, but I'll let it slide". In that case, MLP isn't a message about tolerance, but about respect. And the question becomes "are the bronies too respectful?"... I think no one in their right mind would go and say "yes, they're too respectful, too much respect is bad". You can't respect bad deeds after all.
  4. Reformations are definitely somewhat weak yeah, no denying that. But it's hard to tell compelling stories in so little time while catering to both young and older. But I don't remember Sunset being shunned by the Mane 6. It was more Sunset herself refusing to blend with them, deeming she had no right to. The rest of the school though wasn't so forgiving. The Mane 6 are a rare kind indeed, and even if "shunning her", they'd still talk to her, include her in their conversations at times and Pinkie joked once or twice about the raging she-demon..."no offense". They were somewhat proactive. When Twilight came, ofc they'd be more happy to see her than Sunset, since Sunset had yet to do anything "good" after being a bully and female alpha for a few years. Starlight, the Mane 5 weren't there when she chose redemption over revenge, so as far as they're concerned, it went from "I'll steal your cutie marks!" to "I'm sorry..." with Twilight telling them "nah, she's cool now". No wonder they'll only interact when asked to by Twilight. That and just like Sunset, Starlight doesn't deem she has any right to after what she's done. As for the other ponies, they don't even know she used to be a villain. Those from Our Town chose to forgive her, but the difference is that Starlight genuinely believed what she was doing was in their best interests and they knew it, whereas Sunset used to be an obnoxious bully. And Starlight came to apologise, Sunset didn't. It's somewhat similar I guess (?) but there are big differences...that have not been highlighted enough. The apology shouldn't have happened during the song. It should have been: apology, then the song! I'm sure people would've accepted her waaaaay better that way. For being under Twilight's watch, refer to the season 5 finale. They form a kind of council and agree she cannot be left as is. So she is. Twilight's just giving her some leeway so as not to have Starlight feel oppressed and...and because she's a bad mentor, what can I say?! What I meant for the Mane 6 feeling some kind of restraint is what I said above. They weren't there when she chose redemption, so she just became good like that, somehow? They haven't had the same "bonding experience" Twilight and Spike have. So quite naturally, the only times they're made to interact with Starlight are when Twilight ask them to for "friendship lessons" reasons. Remember back in season 1, that jerkish Twilight? The Mane 5 were proactively befriending her. The same ponies are suddenly very passive, and the interactions come off as "awkward". That's exactly what I meant. They're not at ease with her because of what I've said. Maybe the finale will help them see her in a better light? But what's certain is that so long as her interactions are this awkward, she'll feel "special" or rather "alien" to the group. Those are my thoughts. Like you said, the Sunset / Starlight comparisons are doing a disservice to both of them. As we've seen, they're different characters, with different circumstances, different reasons for having been a villain, different reasons for reforming, different backstories, different stories and different personalities of course. Also, I wish Starlight actually stated she'd like to be punished as it doesn't seem fair to her. She's clearly agonising over the fact they're so forgiving. Kind of like Luna and the Tantabus (hope that's the right name). Just don't make her to be a masochist please. Last point, the screentime! Almost over, phew! What I think should happen with that is to have her be present in more episodes, but not necessarily have a role in them. In many episodes, you see some of the Mane 6 having no real role, just living their lives and the focus just happens to be at the same place at the same time. For Starlight, this was completely missing. That made her stick out like a sore thumb when she starred in an episode, as not only was she suddenly there, but she was also the focus. There, over! I hope I made my points clear enough? :awuh:
  5. Just precising, Starlight isn't friends with the Mane 6 yet, hence the friendship lessons and the eggshells walking. And for your link, all I see is Sunset getting angry because her friends have been repeatedly put in danger then RD empathetically pat Sunset, who realises she may have gone too far and facepalms. That's it. "Taken seriously"? No, that's clearly biased here. That's all, you can go back to liking and disliking whoever you want
  6. Sunset chose to hide in the human world, then to stay in the human world. She's no exile. As for repairing the wall, yes, she had to. She'd just tried to invade another realm, brainwash the whole school and more if needed, and showed no kind of questionning herself until after her defeat. I can understand why they'd be wary of her, epecially since she never really apologised aside from (and I quote) "I'm sorry, I didn't know there was another way". Aside from that, the Mane 6 certainly didn't show any kind of restraint like they did with Starlight. They may have been a bit wary, but were mostly extremely forgiving. With Starlight, it's eggshells everywhere, and it shows too. Saying Sunset didn't get a free pass isn't entirely true, but mostly is. Starlight was made to go and apologise, as well as be kept under Twilight's watch. Sunset? She's pretty much free because, like you said somewhere else, she's considered independent. So no, if you consider Starlight to have gotten away scott-free, then so has Sunset. They're making amends in 2 different ways, but making amends still. Starlight being a main character or not, does it really matter? I mean, is Spike one? Who cares, he's there. That's just words, won't make Starlight nor Spike appear more or less than before. Then the focus of the seaon, I talked about that so won't talk about it again. I expect Starlight to grow overconfident now, Twilight to fail to understand her pupil and so at least one episode where Twilight is quite at a loss at what to do...again. For the screentime, it doesn't make everything but regardless, I've looked and copied/pasted what I'd written for you: To nuance this, premiere and finale were excluded. Also, the Starlight Glimmer count didn't include Hearthwarming as it's not about Starlight herself. You can give her one more if you want though. Now if you include premiere and finale, Twilight gets 1 more and Starlight 2 more, totalling at 6 both (or 5 if you didn't include Hearthwarming). The issue isn't so much the screentime as you can see as it is the fact she's quite often the focus. Premier had 2 stories in parallel, 1 was Starlight's. NSP was focusing on Twilight, Trixie and Starlight, but the focus tended to be more on Starlight than the other 2. ELTSD was centered around her. Hearthwarming is a bit special, but focused on Starlight you could say. The finale focused on Starlight. That means ONLY The Times They Are A Changeling did NOT focus on Starlight. Therein lies Starlight's issue this season for a lot of people, understandably so. That needs to change so that she can be as much a supporting role as a major role in the episodes she stars in. There are some issues, that's true. Everyone was walking on eggshells when it came to Starlight, both inside the show and outside the show. Crossing my fingers season 7 will make things better for everyone and everypony with all the ideas already posted here. PS: RIP 2) and 3), 1) has now joined you so RIP to you too. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
  7. It's true they helped in part, but the castle had already been quite cleaned by then. No more water everywhere for instance. And some of them it's not even cleaning. Applejack just did what she could have done at home at Twilight's castle as a way to try and show she accepts Starlight apology. Fluttershy, Pinkie and arguably Rarity are not remotely related to cleaning up! Rainbow Dash is the only one who was 100% about cleaning up because she couldn't think of another excuse. That's why my headcanon is: Starlight cleaned up most of it, then they came in as moral support and helped a little bit, as a way to say "so long as you understand and don't do it again, it's all water under the bridge." That's why I never had any issue like "she didn't get punished, not even cleaning up the mess she made".
  8. Hmm tough question. It'd be like asking me "who do you like in the Mane 6?"... I'd have to say "everypony" even though I personally like one more than the others. I can't just put the others down, they're all so adorable DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!!!!! :( :( I'll say both even though I prefer Starlight, but both are different characters. There may have been comparisons but there are so many differences as well. And I do like Sunset as well, even though she went from "conquer Equestria" to "omg what have I done" in the blink of an eye. If you can swallow that though, the rest of her arc is more than quite enjoyable indeed. I still prefer Starlight, but both are quite cute in their own way so I just can NOT choose here.
  9. Twilight's reaction to Starlight getting her first nemesis:
  10. Err... This kinda happened already though. Season 5 finale. "Friends are always there for you" song ends with the sentence "friends can change the world you see" and then everypony look at YOU. They're your friends and have changed the world you see, but you're also their friends and changed the world they see (read the fandom has made this show greater than it ever hoped to be). So there you go, my brony friends.
  11. Haha, as I said I exaggerated for the sake of argument. I totally agree this is a different thing it was just to make a point. Anyways, that's just the thing. The Times They Are A Changeling dealt with that issue magnificently already. It would have been a bit of a "repeat". With the new design, depending on how it's tackled, can bring some fun stuff, such as "are we sure they have really changed and are not just in disguise?". In fact, maybe not all changelings have become changed-lings, which could compel them to pretend being changed-lings only to suck some love here and there. That'd create a lot of tension, as you might expect, and would allow for a different way to tackle the prejudice theme - "they're all bad seeds!!" even though only some of them are. A major real life problem, might I add. That's why I said until season 7 airs, we can't be too definitive there. Edit: don't know how to quote someone new in an edit, nor do I know how to make that @AlexanderThrond thing work meh... Anyways, my reply is also for you, just forgot to multi-quote.
  12. Agree on all but this. Why not this? Because to me, the lesson has been addressed already, with the crystal ponies. No prejudice, that's bad. I see this more as a culmination of the very same lesson, essentially proving that "see? they might have looked scary on the outside but give them the chance and look how bright they can shine!". Once a lesson has been learnt, little point in keeping what made the lesson possible. Allow me to exaggerate a little here for the sake of argument. Take Twilight in season 1. She comes, doesn't want friends, but in the end learns how good it is to have friends. Would you keep her as a loner to always remind that "hey friends are good" or will you let her grow? Same with many changes tackled by the show. Now that it's done and over with, time to turn the page and tackle something new. In that, I find the changelings have "served their purpose" and are merely making it striking visually that yes, prejudices are bad because you never know what might be hidden deep inside the shell. ... That said, the old design was cool. I kind of hope part of the changelings refused to change and preferred to remain at the "crystal wings" stage., just to see more of it without having them starve same as before.
  13. You may just be making a really good point, here. The changelings were not only in doubt, but were starting to feel empathy toward Starlight. She was telling them of another, better way and here's Chryssy slamming her right and...right. So they start feeling like "hey, stop...if she's saying the truth, no need to get violent with her". That's so many happy coincidences I simply can't view that as not intended. Regardless, it definitely is mind-blowing - especially how it's sooo obvious like cider float said that you can't help but wonder "how did I not catch that before?". Looking forward to what can come from this.
  14. Yup, that here I mostly agree with. In Starlight's defence, I'll just say she apologised and bonded a bit with them afterwards, and now she's helped save Equestria. They'll be willing to give her a chance again but I'm sure they'll keep the eggshells at first. Need an episode to solve that and then the normal interactions can begin! Starlight's hammer is her magic. Everything else is nails. That's wrong, Starlight. Nuancing what you said in one point (as I agree with the rest) is that Twilight is the Element of the Magic of Friendship, not of Magic in its entirety. Otherwise, she'd have wiped the floor with amulet-wearing Trixie, with Discord, with Tirek, ... Speaking of Tirek, what defeated him wasn't the combined alicorn magics, but the RAINBOW LAZOR TO DA FACE!! :=: Hmm, half-agree. Half, because every character in the show has a tendancy to get away with it without much being done. It's a cartoon after all. I guess having one episode where she gets punished - but not at the end, perhaps even make it somewhat central? - would allow many to finally let it be water under the bridge.
  15. I feel like a déjà vu as well... Meh, whatever 1) I don't think the screen time is the issue here. Besides, during the debate I had with Goat-kun, I showed she had the least amount of episodes, and thre were 18 episodes without her talking at all and 16 where she doesn't even appear. Nah I think the issue lies elsewhere. 2) Like here! She's being given a special treatment. GrimGrimoire has the right expression: walking on eggshells. They're always wearing gloves whenever interacting with her and it shows you can feel it. That makes her feel to the viewers as alien, special. If there's ONE thing Season 7 needs to do, it's to change this. Hopefully now that she's earned trust, it will change. 3) This we already talked about so... Happy useless 3 column again, yay! I think Starlight has already shown much, much angst over her actions. It's been poked fun at in every single episode she stars in. Your next point, I agree she should strive to become a better pony instead of avoiding the friendship lessons. But as was said above, no more eggshells would do her much muuuuch good. Oh, and mind-control is bad, hope the lesson's been learnt now. :-P Actually, season 5 was about "abandonment" (Applebloom and the CMC, Tank for the memories, ...). Season 6 was about "overcoming hardships together with your friends" (Viva Las Pegasus, Gauntlet of Fire, ...). The teaching was quite secondary and we didn't it much from Twilight's viewpoint. And as I said, premier and finale excluded, Starlight barely had episodes, 2 with major role and Hearthwarming. She doesn't appear in the others, just talks a bit in Thorax's episode and that's it. The "special treatment" is what makes her feel "overbearing" right now, so it needs to stop soon. I tooootally don't see any kind of reference here, nope.
  16. What I meant with the tag system was to have another character to cover weaknesses of the first one, but not all. Because of that, no perfect tag and you'd have to choose a different tag partner even if you pick the same first one. Then I thought of my "capture the flag" thingie or whatever, and highly preferred this anyway. Much more diversity. Do you know LoL, or DotA? More than 100 characters in there and you see almost all of them - with some being more picked than others true, but still. Don't mean to make it a MOBA mind you, just a diversity example. For your matchmaking, that would make it harder for everyone to find mathes, especially the Twilight (in your example) players. They'd be given low priority and if 40% matches have Twilight, the guys in those matches will not want to have another Twilight, but they won't be in the same matches, so it won't be 60% of all mathes available for the Twilight players, but far less. I think that may be one of the reasons. Though if there really is too much of one character, there's a bigger problem elsewhere. MLP: Splatoon edition. Others have mentioned it and it could be much fun, yeah!
  17. Nah, I think it'll be my last post, I want to avoid that That and it's late. 1) It has never been an excuse, mind you. I very often see this leap of logic. It explains, it does not justify. What she did was clearly wrong, and she's now been given the chance to make amends. I find it great the show is going out of its way to tell its viewers "there's another way than jail". The "doesn't understand others" I never disagreed with, so... Moving on. Yup, she was unhappy it didn't go as she expected. It genuinely didn't dawn on her that she'd been brainwashing ponies again - and this time, magically. In her mind, it was just: this way will allow us to take care of this faster. It's dead wrong of course, but simply freaked out, like other characters have and will. It's horrifying indeed, but now it's unlikely she'll resort to such heavy-handed methods...I hope. :awuh: 2) Starlight is different from Trixie in that Twilight understands why Starlight did that, but most importantly - Starlight chose of her own volition to stop her revenge plan. All the others took a rainbow blast to the face, Starlight voluntarily stopped despite having the upper hand. Imagine a child about to make some mistake like say shoot someone they don't like. But then, you manage to convince them not to. Would you punish them like some dirty criminal? Nah, you'd give them psychological counseling. And a slap to the wrist for good measure, because of our cult of punishment in our society. It's not double standards, the circumstances are different. At least, that's how I feel about this and facts seem to support this. The other point, the Mane 6 were here because of the friendship lessons. To get to know Starlight better and to have Starlight get to know them better. That's the whole point. That's why I said "somewhat fair point". Getting into details, so I'll leave it at YMMV. However, that link compares it to Lesson Zero. So I ask: how was Twilight any different back then? Weren't all the inhabitants pieces for her to create a friendship problem? They were bruised and all, but nope, it was played for laughs and no one cared. Starlight does the same thing but to fewer people, and suddenly she deserves Tartarus or the death penalty?? Oh, and Twilight "joking" about it is a good way to have the other party not get on the defensive, because that'd block any possible conversation. Know that feeling when you did something bad and your parents are coming to you? That's the same thing. Some parents use that to have their child know that, it was bad okay, but they're on their side, they just want to understand. Twilight does just that, but is also shown not to know exactly how to react, as she switches between being mad and saying "I'm not mad". She just doesn't know how to handle Starlight and doesn't understand why she did that. For Celestia, never said you were fine. I'm glad you're not, it's getting a bit overused now. But you said "Good characters do not need to make other characters look stupid in order to make them look good." and I simply pointed out it's not the first time this happened, far from it. But for some reason (namely it being Starlight), it's a big deal and just like everything else in this case gets blown out of proportion to make a case. That's why I said: if Starlight is a bad character because of this, then so are the Mane 6. 3) People like having 3 points, easier for them. So there you go She is given a kind of special treatment though, I'll agree here, and I hope this will cease in the near future. This is harming her more than anything at this point. It's alienating people, I find it sad... Anyway, I for one would like to continue this if you feel like it. I've watched your link and disagree with many points raised in it. If you don't wish to, I'll respect that of course. I just won't continue talking about it in this thread, that'd be derailing it too much. Hope you understand. Oh, I forgot I had quoted you as well... Welp, my point about parents doing that to engage in a real discussion with their child instead of it being a one-sided lecture is above. Just, don't think Twilight didn't care, she did and it's noticeable. Besides, it lasted 5 seconds flat. I counted.
  18. I do not want to turn this into another Starlight debate, so if it goes out of hand I'll step down instantly. I just want to discuss your points with you. 1) You're right in that she's having trouble understand others, because she's lived all of her life thinking all the others were wrong because of Sunburst leaving her. Twilight made her understand this was completely false and is now in the process of learning what is common sense to us. The other point that she was happy about mind-controlling them I do not agree. She was happy she'd found a "solution". Soon however, the solution turns out to be not so good and Starlight gets quite distressed over it. They do exactly what she says, but is in no way happy and has to check out on every single one of them to make sure they're not doing bad things because of her instructions. The "woe is me" thing mustn't be overused, you're right here as well. Showing she's feeling distressed, fine. Having the switch blocked on "me so sad" isn't fine. 2) Twlight "becomes" a judgmental hypocryte? When? With Trixie? She's behaved in a similar fashion with other characters, Discord coming to mind even after Fluttershy reformed him. And even after he's learnt his lesson after being betrayed by Tirek. She was just doing the same thing with Trixie, but this time someone stood up for Trixie and Twilight learnt it was a bad thing. It was a lesson for Twilight as well. And the Mane 6 being mind-controlled didn't matter? Twilight doesn't seem exactly thrilled about it all, does she? Even giving us a brand new mad face. Then she tries to understand, is shocked to hear what Starlight says and it's back to saying she wanted her to get to know Pinkie Pie. Then, an apology. So sure, the focus of the episode was about Starlight's anxiety, but in no way did the Mane 6 not matter. You're merely asserting they did not without proving it. I don't even know how to disprove you because I don't know what even makes you feel that way! As for that last point, had Celestia never been taken captive to make Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6 look good? I suppose they're bad characters then. Double standards, there's a lot of it in your post. 3) That's a somewhat fair point. Starlight is lacking in the cast interaction department, and you're not the only one who wish she'd have had that going for her. I understand the writers wanted to prioritise her redemption arc to have her learn what being a friend means first, but still. Her student status doesn't excuse this (not complete, but too close) lack of interaction. If there's one thing season 7 needs to do to improve Starlight, it's to address that. The other point is half-true. She's (temporarily) heart-broken by Trixie and disappointed in Twilight, feeling not understood, then disappoints everypony later on by trying to do her lessons well but failing horribly at it, making her lose any kind of confidence in her own judgment. That said, she does get special treatment due to the "mentally fragile" label plastered on her face. Again, I hope that'll be addressed so we can see her actually interact instead of simply dealing with her angst. Starlight Glimmer not worst pony for me but to each their own, feel free to dislike her all you want, I simply want to discuss your reasons for doing so.
  19. Since I'm such a nice guy, let me help your dreams: I did try to look for a karaoke image of Chryssy, I did! Alas, to no avail... Please forgive me
  20. It's still against Tank's wish and bad for him. She also decides to completely ignore the advice of her friends. In complete denial, she decides to stop winter. It can be seen as beautiful yes, but also very selfish. As for it being an allegory for death, I've never even seen it that way. I've seen that pop up in the forums and that's how I even considered the very idea of it - which I don't agree with. To me, it's more about loss in a general sense. Death in part, but also moving on in life, leaving your highschool friends behind for instance, just like Sunburst did. The season had the theme of abandonment behind most of its episodes. Rainbow Dash has grown so strongly attached she's not willing to part with Tank, yet sometimes life must go on and one must learn to accept such a harsh fact. So to me, it was more Rainbow Dash struggling with accepting it and making everypony else suffer because of it. Mind you, it is because she's grown to care so much, but she does have her flaws, such as being so blunt her words hurt and selfish at times. At other times, like you said, she'll be the exact opposite, like when the situation calls it. Some will tolerate certain flaws more than others and consider some traits more likeable than others, and that's why you just love Rainbow Dash while to me she's my least liked. I still like her, but as I said, she does have her flaws. I'm just wondering if you love her character "despite" her flaws or choose not to see them PS: I mean no offence btw, I'm just genuinely curious.
  21. No don't worry, harsh or not, you make valid points so I'm fine with that. It's true after all that it could have used a bit more time. It all snowballed a bit too fast, and was merely an afterthought. Might be because Starlight herself was at a loss at what to do. Twilight knew when she came to Our Town there was a friendship problem. Starlight and the others only cared that they had been captured, lacking the Mane 6's maturity in such matters. Right now, it's still hard to completely judge the metamorphosis of the changelings because of what you said. I for one think the changed-lings will now have to face hardships because of their newfound individuality (which is where it differs from the ponies of Our Town indeed). Let's just wait for season 7 to bring us those answers. Isn't that canon though? All the Mane 5 were shown to do were friendship lessons, not cleaning up. There no longer was water everywhere and stuff either. If it isn't, it's my headcanon as well, with the Mane 5 just recovering from their magical hangover before proceeding with the friendship lessons.
  22. Pretty sure they meant all the instances like 28 pranks later, or Tanks for the memories. She certainly didn't care for anyone but herself in both cases. Yup, she didn't care for Tank as she completely ignored that Tank wanted to hibernate. She wanted to keep cuddling her pet. Of the Mane 6, RD is the one I like the least. Not dislike the most, like the least. Because she often hurts her friends by being obnoxious and all. Although in her defense, when she does think stuff has gone too far, she indeed stands up for her friends, and oh boy does she. As for my least liked character, I'd probably go with Tirek. All the others are overall pretty human, some with more flaws than others, but all trying to live life at its fullest (or too depressed to, but they're comforted then). Tirek though is just about himself because...reasons. We don't even know what makes him do all of that. So until more has been revealed about him, he'll just be a manipulative bastard destroying Equestria for the kick of it and finding pleasure in hurting and tormenting ponies. I can't think of any other character who revels in others' suffering.
  23. I agree with a lot of what you said, and same as you, I'd found the change of appearance to be an odd choice from the part of the writing staff. Toy line, distinguishing one changeling from the other...? Became more or less water under the bridge, until I realised something while talking to a friend. As you may have noticed, the whole finale was echoing Starlight's situation, back from when she was a villain. That's why Starlight extended her hoof to Chrysalis. After thinking a bit more the echoing does not stop there, far from it! Let's sum it up: - both leaders - their subjects love them - their subjects are all equal/the same (there is the important point) - in both case, all are lacking something (cutie marks & love) - interlopers come in, preaching about said lacking element - said interlopers see their abilities nulled by an artefact - they get captured... - but a "traitor" helps save the day... - by making a certain realisation dawn upon the subjects - they choose to embrace the change and (re)gain individuality - said subjects are then the ones to overthrow their former leader - said leader flees from her town/kingdom In other words, Starlight's story has made a full circle, with Starlight destroying a flawed system of equality, to show just how much she's grown since. I've made a thread about this if you wish to read more, though I've pretty much said it all now... Link: https://mlpforums.com/topic/159179-starlight-un-equalised-the-changelings/ I'd like to hear your thoughts after this. Have they changed? Do you stand by your previous stance?
  24. I can't help but see no one has mentioned Gabby yet. I've found her to be the closest to being a Canon Sue, more than Cadance. She arrives, gets friendly with everypony, gets accepted as a CMC, is nice to a fault and managed to do just about everything, maybe even better than the ponies whose very cutie mark is doing the very same thing! I don't find Gabby to be annoying or anything mind you. Just, the way she was portrayed, there was nothing she could fail at, except lying. Maybe it's just me though??
  25. Why Pinkie Pie in last position? Every baby that has appeared, she's taken care of them and proven she was rather quite competent, too. Even the Cakes babies eventually behaved. Flurry Hearts immediately took a liking to her too. She's more caring than some might give her credit for, and can be serious/mature when she really has too. Parasprites for example. I don't really have a ranking for most, as it all comes with experience. Some wouldn't struggle all that much, the others would a bit more as it'd be new to them. Oh well, let's make one based on how they'd struggle at first then: 1. Applejack has basically been a mother to Applebloom for some time. 2. Fluttershy has proven herself as well, even with her brother. 3. Pinkie I've addressed. 4. Twilight who has been raising Spike for a long time, even though it's more of a sibling relationship than a mother-child one. 5. Rarity has Sweetie Belle but suffers from a bit of egotism... 6. Rainbow Dash had no one, is quite selfish and self-centered, but is shown to care a great deal and once she becomes attached, she'd do anything in her power. Tanks for the memories indeed. Again, this is how they'd struggle at first. Rainbow Dash for instance would be somewhat lost and make a lot of mistake, but all with her child in mind. After being given proper guidance, she'd do just as great as the others.
