  1. We stand there for a little longer. The night grows colder and darker. The stars sparkle in the sky, as the moon rises. Moonlight bathes us in a white glow, illuminating Rarity's features. She's not looking at me. A tear forms in her eye as she stares into the distance. She's so beautiful...The moonlight makes her coat shine brightly. She breathes out as the wind whips past her face. “Do you ever wonder what this is all about?” I place my hand on my neck, rubbing my scales. “What do you mean?” Rarity shivers in the cold. “Life, I suppose.” “Sometimes.” I rub her shoulder. She turns her head to me, her eyes somber. “Spike.” The wind whistles by us, cold and engulfing in the night. I look into her eyes. “Huh," I breathe out, "Rarity did you ever love me?” She wraps her hooves around me. Pulling me close. “Of course, Spike.” “No, that’s not what I mean...” I look away, my eyes downcast. Her hooves drop. She faces away from me again. “You were too young then.” “Yeah…” I let out a breath, rubbing my arm. The wind is quiet, blending like a melody in the moonlight. She let’s out a breath. “You are my best friend, Spike. I never wanted to ruin that.” I hesitate, before saying,“I love you. I always have.” A small smile spreads across her lips, she looks down at me. “I’m still young, and yet I have so many regrets. I don’t want you to be one of them.” She chuckles; not much, just a little bit. I know she's sad, maybe I shouldn't have asked this now...But, I have to know... Blue eyes pierce my soul, she moves her lips towards mine, meeting halfway. They are cold, and chilling, sending a shiver down my spine. But they are also sweet and lovely. My heart beats in my chest, loud and resounding. We pull away. She smiles. “Will I see you at Carousel Boutique tomorrow?” “Yes.” I smile. “Goodnight then, Spike.” She leaves, waving to me. I sit down, letting the wind wash over me. It’s late. I need to get back to Twilight, but I want to savor this moment for a little longer. Only a little longer…

  8. For myself I'd also add that it was pretty easy to like Starlight. She's the type of character I tend to like anyways, but I was already expecting. Since season six was spoiled for me, by the time I finished all the other five seasons I was already expecting her to show up for awhile. The same goes for this finale. I already knew for awhile that it wouldn't invove the mane six.
  9. Can I link to fimfiction stories? Like SFW obiously.

  10. I think the Starlight hate has died down since the start of season seven. She already had a heavy presence in season six, and even more so this season. There's at least four episodes that can be rightully called Starlight episodes this season. And all the episodes where she played a secondary roll. I wonder if they'll tone her presence down in season 8. (I hope they don't she's one of my favorite characters). That pretty much covers everything that was good about it. I have to agree with the "was just fun" part. I don't think it's impossible for mlp to have serious moments, but most times it's either cheesy or just stupid. I rember one of the writers saying that they treat emotional moments seriously. Which is true to an extent. But a lot of times they will still throw in a stupid gag. There are only a few instances where they showed emotion as more than just a quick gag or the general over dramtic sappyess of mlp.
  11. Other way around. A lot of people hate it. I love it because the mane six weren't involved. And because Starlight Glimmer takes center stage. I think it's mainly Starlight is why people like it. If you don't like her I think it's harder to enjoy.
  12. Can I make a request?
  13. I love how the music video for Rainbow by sia basically spoils the enitre movie.

No joke, with this music video and the trailers it's pretty easy to piece together the plot of the movie.

It's a good song. But the clips they use from the movie really spoilt it.

  14. The last youtube video I watched was the music video for Rainbow by Sia. The last youtube video I watched that wasn't a music video was DWK's tottaly legit recap for episode 15 s7.
  15. Firstly Rainbow would be cheating on her wife Fluttershy. Secondly I'd kiss back. They're both attractive. (And I'm basically bisexual. Mods please don't ban me if the previous statment is NSFW) She's just cheating on her wife Fluttershy.
  16. "I can see the rainbow. And the tears as the sun comes out."

Why do I love this song?

It least it's a bit more normal sounding than the Good Vibes EQG song. Which I love that song too, but it's also a bit to cheery.

  17. 8 days since I last logged in. Hum. Hrrrm.

Anyone here up for a super slow going fanfic collab? I'd like to publish it on fimfic. Figured I'd ask here as well.

Also I've log into fimfic badically every day. Way more active there now.

I just mean like not writing more than a chapter a month. I'm already editing for two other people.

And doing a collab with one of them. bright foal(the person I'm doing a collab with) says she can write about a chapter for our collab a week.

I'm also editing for someone elese, twilightcheff, and she writes about two chapters a week for her story.

What I'm saying is that I don't mind doing another collab, I just can't write that much for it since I'm already busy with other things.

  18. I've been really inactive recentley. If anyone cares I'm more active on FimFiction.

  19. I forgot about those. I guess it was just meant as a joke then. but babies sneeze just like adults though.
  20. Biggest flaw: Bon Bon didn't give Lyra those flowers. Guys she's cheating on her girlfriend! But that was an easy fandom joke. Missed opurtunity. I mean come on, how hard is it to animate Bon Bon giving Lyra the flowers? She was standing right behind her! Also still don't like the resolution very much. I love the new style they gave her, just not what it was meant to imply. If they really wanted a "beauty is on the inside" moral Rarity should have left her mane the way it was. It feels shallow that she had to change it. The episode didn't really go anywhere. It felt just like a "day in the life of" episode without anything really happening. And again welcome to the Starlight Glimmer show! But for real GlimGlam is showing up way more than she did in season six. And she arleady showed up a lot in season six. I mean what is Starlight going to be adopted by the Sparkle family now?(can she please be? Hasbro make it happen). On a side note there are like five or six differnt fics on fimfiction that deal with this episode in some way. Two of them revolve around what Spike did to comfort Rarity. And those are written by differnt authors. I just think it's kind of weird we are getting so many fics this quickly. (Then again there was a fic called Much ado about a Belle, that came out about a month ago. And it dealt with how Cheerilie felt after "Hard To Say Anything".) EDIT: Why did it take so long for that issue of Vanity Mare to come out? I mean what gives? Also is the show saying that only a year has passed since season two? Pinkie said it's been a year since the baby cakes first sneeze. Unless that happend in like season five, I don't see what else the writers could be implying. What's sad is that it isn't unreasoble that season three to seven encompases a year. Which means that Starlight has only been a good gut for like three or four months at most.
  21. It's sad when I look at my highes rated fimfiction stories and I don't think they're that great.

  22. So haven't posted much recently. Mostly because I've been working on writing some fan fiction. Which I am having trouble with currently. Also e19 was good.
