A huge thing about healing is that you're working towards changing your mindset. You can't change the kinds of tribulations you may face, but you can change how you deal with them. In time things that used to terrify you may not scare you as much and you may find strength where there was once weakness.
I know what it's like to be haunted by traumas, it can really take a hold of you. It's not an easy thing to come out of, but it is manageable with the right help. I hope you get what you want out of therapy! I hope it helps you! Just remember that if you do get bad days even during the therapy, it doesn't mean all your days are gonna be bad. Life isn't this race towards perfection, it's very much a mix of ups and downs. You just have to take them as they come. Life does have a meaning, too, and that's really up to you what it is! You just have to ask yourself what you'd like to see in the world.
