  1. Thanks you. Being Applejack might be pretty easy for me. I've already got the apples part covered. I'm always helping my family. I'm far too honest, but still proud of it. Talking in a southern accent will be fun. I was thinking doing gardening would be the hardest part. Anyway, things are going well so far. I ran 15 miles today in two hours. I've got that great runner's high that lasts all day. I don't know if any of you are distance runners, but if you are, you'll know what I'm talking about. I'm finding that taking naps is the hardest part of this challenge. I've only averaged 5.5 hours of sleep a night and haven't had an opportunity to nap. I guess it's a combination of Diablo III coming out and my constant urge to read and write fan fiction. Also, the only sunglasses I could find in my car were undeniably, unquestionably uncool.
  2. I did think about it, but I've got too shaggy of a mane and I think it would probably look pretty bad with all of the colors mixed up. I could probably pull off Pinkie's hair though.
  3. Actually I was thinking being Fluttershy would be the hardest, because she always has to overcome her fears, so I would too. My greatest fear is having to sing karaoke. For some reason almost being in car crashes or getting chased by snarling dogs doesn't phase me, but social embarrassment is the worst possible feeling. Sure. Throw out any ideas you've got. The main thing is that I'm trying to emulate the good qualities of the ponies. So even though being arrogant would be IC for Rainbow Dash, I'm not aiming to do that. I'm already arrogant enough (at least that's what personality tests always tell me, no matter how I answer the questions on them).
  4. Yeah, the sunglasses would be a good touch. I keep driving and squinting at the sun when my shades are right there in the glove-box. Sleeping more is also part of the plan, but I forgot to put it in the list. I actually got a whopping seven hours of sleep last night. I would do skateboarding again, but I learned my lesson the hard way too many times back when I was into it. I've already got enough scars on hide. If this month goes well enough I'm thinking I might do a month for each of the other five too. Pinkie will probably be more challenging.
  5. So I'm trying to emulate the values of Rainbow Dash for a month. 1. I am running and working out more than I ever have before (I've run and worked out consistently for several years now, so that is actually saying something) 2. I am trying to be more loyal to my friends by going to things they invite me to and not finding excuses to bail out just because I'd rather stay home doing pony related stuff. 3. I'm planning on reading some Daring Do fan fics. 4. I'm trying to say the word "awesome" more often. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has done or is doing stuff like this. Also, if you have any ideas about how I could be more like Rainbow Dash that would be awesome.
  6. Better but still not fixed. I'm not an artist by an stretch of the imagine, but do you think it would work better if we could see some of the white of her eye on the right side of her right eye. That way the eyes might look more like they're both aimed at the same place. Then again, a derpy Applejack isn't a bad idea. Maybe I'll make a fan fic about it. Any idea which pony you're gonna draw next? I vote Pinkie.
  7. The internet brought me to the show. I was on KYM and saw all of this pony stuff and was like "WTF, I've got to figure out what this is about." Now I'm wearing a Fluttershy T-shirt. The whole MLP thing is kind of an acquired taste for a lot of people though.
  8. You sound like Fluttershy, all worried about wasting our time and all. Animation huh? You got any cool pony drawings for us?
  9. My story is similar. Not sure what your coworkers are like, but you might be surprised. I've heard a lot of things about service members being bronies and whole barracks getting into it. There seems to be no end of creativity in this community. There's a lot of love.
  10. It's good to be proud of something, even if it is being into a show for little girls. This is a great community and I'm glad you're a part of it.
  11. Welcome to this part of the pony universe. Glad to hear you're introducing people to the herd. I applaud you.
  12. I might need a vector some time since I'm planning on making a massive pony print to cover an entire wall of my house, but I still haven't decided what picture I want and it's pretty far down the "to do" list. Kudos for offering free help to people though. I applaud your generosity.
  13. I'll bet you never saw it coming.
  14. Yeah, I knew what the results were going to be before I voted. Rarity doesn't get enough love. Prince Blue Blood was an obvious choice and so was Diamond Tiara. Personally I think Bon Bon is worst pony, since all of her cameos seem to portray her as a jerk.
  15. Iron Will throws a massive, crazy party. He knew the party would rock, but he did not expect to fall in love with an orange country mare. He might have to learn a thing or two about manners if he is to win her over. Fluttershy is also dreaming of asking her crush out, but she needs a boost of confidence. 16. I never hated on anyone for being a brony though I kind of laughed when I heard my friends brother was into it. I didn't know what to make of it. I suspected that it was a massive meta-trolling conspiracy or some sort of insincere hipster irony.
  17. It's a toss between Rainbow Dash and Applejack. I don't see a lot of loyalty or honesty from either of them. Yes, Rarity is materialistic and manipulative, but that doesn't mean she isn't generous. The amount of works she does for her friends makes up for any of her flaws. She's the kind of pony who'd be a super seeder on bitTorrent.
  18. This show has inspired me to not take myself so seriously. After all, it's pretty hard to hold together any sort of macho persona when going around in a Fluttershy T-shirt. The positive culture of the fandom has inspired me to stop trolling and complaining. Applejack inspired me to get back into distance running. Twilight inspired me to read fiction again. I never thought I'd read and write fan fiction like this. Rarity inspired me to improve my appearance.
  19. My bro and I finished this yesterday. It's our first PMV that's not set to a song with cussing in it. I hope you like.
  20. Does anypony know which episode has the clip where you see the Ponyville Library from the outside at night and all of its lights go out in succession? I've wanted to use it at a couple of points while making PMVs, since a lot of songs have some variation of the line "turn the lights out" in them, but I just haven't managed to stumble across the clip again.
  21. Very late at night, after a 10 hour session of Minecraft with some friends, none of us were really thinking straight and we all agreed we should figure out what all the MLP hype was about. The first episode seemed as bad as we could have possibly imaged, though we did laugh at a few things. We joked that all of the ponies had tramp stamps and that Spike was a cross between Spyro and a chicken. My brother and I gave up on it and figured you had to be high to enjoy it, but we woke up the next morning still curious, so we watched the next episode and we were like, "hey, this seems alright." After the next two episodes (The Ticket Master and Applebuck Season [still among my favorites]) we were totally hooked. We powered through all of the rest of the episodes and loved it. I've been writing fan fics, making a big , making PMVs, wearing brony t-shirts, plastering every surface with pony pics, and of course, watching the show. I've never been happier in my life, since, before all of this pony stuff, I was one of those serious people who reads The Economist all the time and frets that GDP isn't growing fast enough and corruption metrics in Africa aren't going the way I want them to. Other than MLP, my life is being a lab technician, marathon training, and hanging out with my friends and family. I came here to get more socially involved in the herd.
