My kid graduates tomorrow. 

I can't sleep. First 18 ... now graduating high school. How the hell did that happen? This is not ok!

An idea that I posted on Facebook earlier. 

My request to you CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC is this ... during your coverage of any tragedy and for one hour following any segment of tragedy ... no ads. Cover it, but do it with morality and integrity. My request to those that read this is simple -- note what ads run during these news segments, and if you feel profiting off of tragedy news is something that should cease, make it known to the advertisers. 

This isn't about gun rights. If this continues then, yes those rights will be in jeopardy when the political pendulum swings left again. For those on the left, showing your opinion against advertising may actually save lives by demotivating the scum who would take lives, and your side of the gun debate is postured based on saving lives. 

This is a solution that both ideologies should agree on. It protects free speech, it works within the free market through consumer input, and it may very well save a kid's life. 

Just something to chew on.

I feel so old. I just fixed my vhs player and watched a vhs on it. It still works fine. I need to convert the family home movies to digital.

Taking from your 'shocked' reaction to my reply in "Caption the Avatar Above You", I take it you aren't familiar with the Irish folklore of the Changelings from which the Equestrian Changelings originated. Everything in MLP except Dischord and Draconequei came from actual mythology.

The Changelings stole human babies, then replaced them with their young changed into human form. You'd only notice it wasn't your baby by the time it is too late, when you'd find your actual baby in a well. They store the bodies there for food.

But sometimes they would steal them to "feed on" the love of a human child, forcing the child to imprint upon them

Hello? Helloooh?

I just finished all my schoolwork after working on it for almost 8 hours. 90% of that time was working on a poster of Shakespeare describing his life and his work.  I guess this is mostly my fault since the project was assigned a week ago and I just started today, but that's aside from the point. I don't think this is the most tired I've been in my life, but it's up there somewhere. So now you know why I haven't come on often if at all today. I don't usually post goodnight status updates, but I just wanted to point that out. I hope you all had a great day, and I should head to bed now.  Goodnight everyone!
