  1. Sorry I didn't see this reply sooner! (If you're on FIMfiction, I'm on there a lot more often than I am here.) It took them a couple of weeks. Long, nailbitingly stressful weeks in which my heart was in my hand and I was holding it out to them, expecting it to be crushed (I've been rejected twice previously on different stories). And when they finally replied, I was told by my EQD pre-reader that he couldn't recommend it for posting... (my heart sank when I read those lines) ...but if I cleaned it up grammaticaly as best I could they would! So yeah, I finally got a story on there! Yay! But it took a couple weeks to hear back from them. (I recently heard from someone who waited almost a month! They are busy...)
  2. Updated! "What is half of always?" - Celestia In this chapter: we learn the name of the moon, two young fillies are invited to a celebration, and Luna's origin is finally revealed.
  3. What if the Princess Celestia we know was actually a changeling queen who had taken over Celestia's identity as a favor to the real princess long ago? And what is going to happen when those who love her find out? (This is not my story, but I liked it and wanted to share it.) Here's the FIMfiction link: Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen I love the voice and personality that the author gives Celestia, and what he's doing with Prince Blueblood is really cool. Check it out if you're interested!
  4. Glad you liked it. And, after a month of writing school papers, I have gotten to update it. Yeah, one of the things I tried to do was make Celestia awesome. Everyone likes Luna more. *Sigh* And you should be wary of Starswirl. He's bad news. New chapter added! Celestia tries to settle into her new role as Princess of the unicorn tribe, and finds a young pony scholar who may have stumbled upon a clue to the lost Elements of Harmony.
  5. Thanks! It would be cool to see what your story looks like too. One of the things that is so attractive about Celestia is that there is a thousand years of mystery to her. Since there is so little that we actually know about her in the canon of the show, there is a blank canvas upon which the fans are free to create their own ideas about her. And no two need be quite alike. This particular story will end up going far beyond her early days. (Though at three chapters in she is still a filly...and will be for quite awhile yet.) Anyway, thanks for the read. Hope you enjoy it!
  6. Hello, friends. This is my attempt to tell the story of Princess Celestia, from her humble origins as a unicorn filly all the way to her ultimate destiny. Find out how she became an alicorn, the strange origin of Luna, whatever happened to Starswirl the Bearded, how she became friends with the phoenix Philomena, why she lost her connection to the Elements of Harmony, and much more. It's an adventure story encompassing more than a thousand years. I hope you like it. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/56543/Celestia-in-Excelsis In the name of Harmony, against the Arch-Enemy of Friendship, stands the Princess of the Sun.
  7. Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
  8. Hi. This is my second attempt at fanfiction. And it seems to be striking a chord with some readers, so maybe it's a good one? http://www.fimfiction.net/index.php?view=category&search=a+spell+for+lyra It's called "A Spell for Lyra" and in it, Twilight tells the story of how she met Lyra the unicorn, a mistake she made, and one of the hardest lessons in friendship she had to learn. It's a little bit sad, but people seem to like it. If you don't, please let me know how I can do better. Thank you, my friends.
  9. Yes! An opportunity to recommend my favorite fanfiction to date. Eternal by device heretic. Read it. It is very well written, but what makes it really great is this: the characters are everything to the story. It has a plot, and a good one, full of mystery and high adventure. But the plot and the setting pale to the characters in the story and their psychological story arcs. I have never seen Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna given such depth. (I read it and was promptly ashamed of my earlier efforts at writing an adventure fanfic. I was also terrifically inspired to do better, to make my characters as layered and interesting as possible.) Anyway, that's my recommendation. It's a bit long, but don't be put off by that. I didn't read it in one sitting, but by the time I was finished with it, I was grateful for every moment I spent with it.
  10. Hello, this is my first attempt at writing fanfiction. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. Falls the Shadow http://www.fimfiction.net/index.php?view=category&search=falls+the+shadow A fantasy adventure story... When the stars start going out over Equestria, and ponies start disappearing, it's up to Twilight and her friends to try and save the day. With the help of the Doctor, they will travel back in time to the Canterlot of a thousand years ago. A terrible evil is threatening the world, two eras are in danger, and unless they can stop it, Death will come to Equestria, and their innocent world will be lost forever. Hope you like it. (If you don't, let me know what I'm doing wrong)
  11. Twilight and Princess Celestia get to spend quality time together (kind of like she and Luna did in Luna Eclipsed) A super time travel episode where Twilight gets to meet Starswirl the Bearded and Celestia as a filly. (I can dream.) More Discord. More Luna. More Trixie. (But not too much, maybe an episode each, another two-parter for Discord...) Maybe getting to meet some of the families of the Mane 6 that we know nothing about, like Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. (And what about Pinkie Pie's sisters?) A human in Equestria episode. (Just kidding!)
  12. My favorite piece of fanfiction ever (so far) is Eternal by device heretic. It is extremely well written. It's pretty long, but the psychological depth he gives the characters is incredible. Also, I felt like the final emotional payoff was superior to anything else I've seen in a fan work. I would recommend it to (almost) anyone.
  13. The Return of Harmony. I liked how the characters' defining traits were subverted. And I love the scene where Twilight is grey and Princess Celestia starts sending her letters back to her.
  14. I went through the first six at once. By The Ticket Master, I knew they had me.
  15. Final Fantasy III (actually VI in the series) and Super Metroid.

I love FFVII's graphics...but I'll probably always be looking at them through my nostalgia-goggles... (Can't be helped, It's my all-time favorite game.)
