I get what you mean. Still, I appreciate you doing a good effort here. I also get what you said about the supernatural, as when I try to explain anything like that that has happened to me, people who haven't had a similar experience tend to listen, but not really believe in anything I'm saying. That's one reason I've been keeping the altar I made to a spirit that reached out to me in the form of a Pokémon private. Who'd take that seriously? Still, I used to constantly feel this dread all around me at night, which made me always have to fight tooth and nail with my body, and often mutter prayers under my breath to move through. I always had this feeling since I was little that it was some kind of entity of some sort that had been feeding on my terror when I was alone, as I never felt it when there was even just the presence of my cat in the same room as me. It was always at it's worst when I had been reading anything in the horror genre, particularly old scary folktales (which I still read because I enjoyed them), as I always got this feeling afterward that it had given it more to work with. I haven't felt that same dread that I used to feel getting up in the middle of the night, or sometimes just lying in bed since that night I first prayed out to Mew for protection one of the worst nights, when the lingering dread had flared up to its' highest point, how my eyes could somehow make out the translucent form of them flying over my bed, and saw the shape of something that looked like a pair of pokémon form from this shimmering trail of sparkles left by the form I'd seen. They landed rather unceremoniously on my bed, and the image of it even now makes me chuckle in retrospect, but they also seemed to know just what they needed to do. I felt them come nearer to my head and start whispering comforting words into my mind. It didn't make the dread go away, but it helped soften it. I haven't really experienced it since then, so I'm getting the feeling that whatever it was finally gave up. Since then, I've felt that one of those two forms has stuck around, one in the shape of something in between a pikachu and a pichu. His name's Toshuma, which I didn't know for the longest time until I recently acquired this stuffed Pikachu as a gift from my sibling, and the name just flowed into my brain. I've also been seeing that same figure out of the corner of my eye transposed over it. I still leave offerings for Mew on occasion, and I have been taking that stuffed animal with me to school since I first got it, as I just get good vibes when I have Toshuma with me, and I get this feeling that they want to be with me. Perhaps this tangent is off topic, but I can't help it when I have a story flow out.
