  1. I'd love to... but I have to pay off my own college tuition first. I'm actually going back soon for a second bachelor's, then a master's, so he'll probably have graduated by the time I could pay for his.
  2. I have ads turned off, but I donate to make up for it. I reward any site that makes ads voluntary by donating more than my seeing or clicking ads would ever bring in! Besides, I feel like communities are much more like a family if the members support it directly! Other than that, I just think the aesthetics of ads ruin the look of a website. I tried opting into the ads, but even discreetly placed ads make me squirm. When I saw ads on this beautiful site, I gave a Rarity face and said "make it stop!"
  3. Ooooh, the Super Secret Mysterious Currency of Vagueness?? The fabled currency that can buy the whole world with a single coin??? Where do I sign up!?
  4. That's really sad... and beautiful at the same time. Did you lose a friend recently?
  5. Well if you insist, I shall send it to you in a box straight away. But I might be able to improve it if you gave me a... year or so. Why of course, darling! Hugs are precious, and they don't cost anything!
  6. I noticed that whenever someone makes a donation in US dollars, about 10% of it gets taken out, presumably for converting it to Canadian dollars. Is there any way we can donate without so much of the money going to Paypal in fees?
  7. Genders? pppttt. Both are people to me, so I like both. Oooh, pretty robot pony. I kiss you.
  8. I would like to think I fall into that category, but since all we have to look at is this lovely photo of Rarity, we'll never know will we?
  9. Okay, that's enough I suppose. I like this thread. Bronies need more love! I also like the brony community for its original way of shattering gender stereotypes. Guys can like cute stuff, too!
  10. You banish everypony. I banish you for banishing others. Meanie.
  11. Oh come now. I'm sure there's something you really like about the brony fandom, otherwise you wouldn't be here, silly!
  12. It's just human nature. Still, just as it can hurt a friendship, finding out that there are hidden facets to another person can strengthen a friendship, too!
  13. After all the recent talk of the brony community straying away from the original reasons it was started for in the first place, I decided to start this thread where we can go back to our roots! Everyone's invited to take part in this "old school brony" thread. It will be a happy place where we can share life-learned lessons and wisdom, and a place for us to share love, tolerance and hugs if need be! Brohooves, too! So, what sort of lessons in friendship have you learned lately? They can be lessons from the show you took to heart, or they can be personal lessons you learned on your own. Kind of like a "Dear Celestia" letter! For me, these past few days, I've learned that friends are very important to one's life, but choosing the right friends is just as important. Not long ago, I was with some people who weren't really being good friends. I had to realize that true friends won't hurt each other, and won't tell each others' secrets. Real friends will share in both each other's happiness when good things happen, and comfort each other during the bad times. Each friend is a pillar of support for the group as a whole, just like a family is supposed to be. You have the right to choose your friends, so choose wisely! How about you guys? What lessons in friendship have you learned from the show, or just from life in general?
  14. THANK YOU for making this thread. Now, what I like best about bronies, is how generally helpful it is. Looking in the Life Advice section, I see it bustling with replies to people needing advice! Most other communities (not just forum sites) don't even have sections like that or places to get help. Even if they do, it tends to be so dead and inactive that nobody wants to go in. It seems to be a staple among brony sites, though, and they're always really active! I love that about us! Epic brohoof, everypony! /)
  15. Wow, that's awesome! I wish my real family would be bronies with me! I salute you, good sir.
  16. ♪ Everypony get together; try to love one another right now... ♪

  17. Hmm, I see the point here. I've noticed that bronies in general don't feel much like family anymore... What can we do to make this more like a family community?
  18. You can have some of my love! I have more than enough to spare! *hugs*

  19. Honestly, anyone who already knows who Bronies really are will laugh at the stupidity here. If they don't know who we are, they'll recognize this as Geraldo Rivera-style sensationalism. If they don't recognize it for what it is... then they're idiots for listening to Howard Stern in the first place. [/thread]
  20. I'm actually a bit afraid that if I do, she'll remember what she gave me and take it away... I thought you'd never ask! http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=VONt0zx8dek Oh, but that's such a beautiful coat! You'd do that for me??? Where have you been all my life? Well I have to say, its simplistic design isn't normally what I do, and it didn't really come out the way I had hoped... You wouldn't want to see it, would you? You would? :sigh: -_- You can see why I didn't bring it to you like this.
  21. If Lauren Faust's original visual concepts for the Mane Six gone through unchanged, we just might have had this right now (click the pictures for full-size views)... I really like these old, G1-inspired designs, but the current ones look a lot better in the Technicolor universe they've created for the show. Here's some more history for ya!
  22. By the way, I'm sorry I assumed you were referring to us. I guess I got carried away.
  23. I just unwittingly resurrected a dead thread... What have I done?
