Notes are a good idea. Write down the most important aspects of the world you want to build so you can refer to them later. Also try putting together a basic outline of what you want to happen in each chapter. Then when your chapter is finished, go through it and check if all the details match up.
I don't usually have to do that because I have mad memory skilzzz.

I'm actually more alarmed by the fact that "PONIEZZ IN HI SKOOL" was the best idea they could think of. I mean, seriously? That's like Fanfiction 101 and they're making a whole spinoff out of it. With, if that "screenshot" is legit, some remarkably uninspired art and character designs.
-
I fail to understand how this is even slightly important to you.

I know where you're coming from. Community college didn't impress me much. I looked on the bright side: it was like high school but with no cliques. Everybody left me alone. There were some annoyances, like a crazy political science professor who constantly promoted his agenda in class (and he wasn't a liberal either).
Once I got to a real university it was a lot better. Sure a lot of people were lefties and crazy about "green power" at the college I went to, but when I looked past all that they were all decent people who liked learning stuff. I ended up enjoying my time there. Thank goodness I got something out of it, because I'll be paying off the student loans for years.

Nope. Futtershy is the most attractive, hands down.
As I heard it said before: "She cooks, she cleans, and she's good with kids." (I'd also add cute and kind to that list.)
Honestly, what more could you ask for?
Musical talent that warms your soul? ^^

This is just brilliant.
Minor mistake I noticed in the blog posts you've written about this contest: look closely at your browser's address bar; there is no www in front of mlpforums.com.
The www doesn't show up in the address bar, but if I don't include it the hyperlink doesn't function. ^^ People have to copy and paste it into the address. Just something I did for the readers' convenience.

For the record, I was the original article. Harmony copied me I was chaotic before it was cool.
SILENCE, HIPSTER!
And I am True Neutral and proud of it.

Oh, Clarity. I knew you should have taken that vacation. xD

People were acting like jerks on Xbox Live while playing COD. And this...surprised you in some way?
But seriously, enough with "love and tolerate." It was a sarcastic meme, let it go. If you want to actually DO those things, fine, wonderful. You'll be in good company. But throwing them around as our mantra is missing the point.

That's a very interesting glimpse of Russian culture. And congratulations as well.

Thank you, LD. You've contributed some good posts and are sticking around. That's all you need to go from an acquaintance to a friend around here. Spread the love!

Wow, your mom is super-supportive of your brony-ness. That's so awesome.

Fog is really hard to take a picture of. xD I've tried.
But I love when it really comes down and totally envelops everything. I remember one early morning coming home from work that was like driving through Silent Hill.

Love you too, man. You better not leave any time soon!
Thanks. It means a lot to hear stuff like that. I was on that old wrestling board for 6 1/2 years and racked up nearly 5000 active posts until I finally realized: (1) it wasn't a fun place, (2) I had very few friends there, (3) nobody cared if I stayed or left and (4) I wasn't really into wrestling anymore. xD
Then I come in here and I think, "Wow! So many people love this show as much as me? And they're smart and nice? And they like me??" It was a whole new experience. I hope I can make a fraction of the difference in someone else's life online that all of you have made for me.

We like having you around too. Don't leave anytime soon, kay ?
No way! We're the biggest Dash fans. You, me, Alfonzo, RainbowDash92, ShadowSong, Master R2D2 and mycarhasaMoustache. Loyalty forever, guys.
While I'm at it I have to shout out to some other good friends of mine, even if Dash isn't their favorite pony: *deep breath* Clarity, Stellafera, BatBrony, Dismajo, Nightfall, Artemis, Berry Pie, CloudFyre, Arcanel, Gone Airbourne, Night Shine, Kolth, Lightning Fluttershy, TheLoyalBrony, Rainbow Skywalker, Wingnut, Urdnot Pinkie Pie, ~Chaotic Harmony~, ~Chaotic Discord~ and more! *gasp, choke* Spread the love.

Well written, and I admire your attitude. You can't let your demons win.

I totally wanted to leave this place. For reasons I can hardly even explain.
However I totally missed this place after about, what... 10 days at most? Maybe not even that. I forgot how... horrible... everywhere else is. There's so many stupid, arrogant, ignorant, dummy faces out there, and this place has virtually none of that.
I love this place and the people as well.
What was that word you used before, hikikomori? I know where you're coming from. I feel like I can only connect with people online, and even there I'm careful where I spend my time. But I feel like this place embraced me, somehow.

I discovered the show and fandom four and a half months ago. In that time, I could have chosen to judge the entire community by several members, threads and fan works that I found offensive.
I didn't.
If I'm ever going to turn away from this place, it's going to take more than that. Two simple principles: (1) don't sweat the fandom, (2) offer respect and, yes, tolerance to all who will accept it. Even if I disagree with them or just don't like talking to them. I've been online for eight years and seen fandoms that got infinitely worse than any hairy incidents here (which I may dramatize in my blog later on).

That's really awesome. Congratulations. ^^

I can't recall, but is there a commentary track on any or all of the episodes?
EDIT! Yes! There is commentary on six episodes. More details on that in Part IV.

Good job.
Maybe if you make 2,282 MORE posts you'll almost tie him in brohoofs. BURN

I saw that post too. Things like that always irritate me, because it highlights how little some people understand non-believers and how reluctant they are to try. I may have stopped believing in religion and grown indifferent to whether God exists or not, but that doesn't mean I threw all the values I was taught out the window.
On the contrary, I am a happier and more moral person now than I ever was as a Christian. I no longer feel the need to condemn myself or others, to justify everything I do on a religious basis, or try to live up to the impossible standards of sanctimonious peers. And as far as basic ideas of right and wrong and concerned, I still have religious and non-religious friends who are mostly on the same page.
With all due respect to a well-meaning Hollowshield and everyone else: arguing that "real" or "absolute" morality is exclusive to religion is so self-evidently wrong that it's a pointless exercise.

Halloween is only pointless if you don't celebrate it right. If you just want to run around and kick pumpkins, or catch a bad horror movie marathon, or take your kids to the mall or church instead of letting them actually trick-or-treat, you won't get much out of it.
Halloween is a holiday for all the sweet tooths, risk-takers, misfits and people who enjoy being scared. It's a holiday for the Discord in all of us.

Feld0 becomes the Holy Father at 3:42.
Feld0 tried to kill you.
Blast him! I knew I couldn't trust someone with a zero in their name!
People on FIM wouldn't get this, though. Even I don't get it. I already submitted one fic that blurred the lines of reality and ponydom and they rejected it on the flimsy premise that I included the name of their site. Even if this one got in I don't need a whole page of comments saying "lolwut."

If this is because of what a certain member said in his status, which is the only thing I can think of, why not bring it up with him? True, we didn't need to know that about him, but we don't need you to lecture us about it either. It's a potentially divisive act that doesn't accomplish anything, except vaguely annoy a bunch of people who had nothing to do with the issue.
