  1. G'damn it, ninja'd. 8/10 Snake pony is odd, but strangely adorable.
  2. 100/10. There's a thread dedicated to his signature alone.
  3. Damn it, ninja'd 9/10 for adorabLuna And for Berry Pie: Botherbotherbotherbotherbotherbotherbother.
  4. I wouldn't stoop to such petty things as that idea, if you were actually planning that. No good can come of it, and it would just seriously exacerbate the situation, and destroy all chance for diplomacy.
  5. Hmm, it'd be a tie between a Q&A session with Twilight Sparkle, namely about Equestrian society, culture, and pony biology (chief amongst the latter is how exactly unicorn magic is focused through their horns, and what would happen if said horn gets damaged. I've always wondered about that). The second, would be to have Rarity design me an amazing outfit, preferrably a zoot suit if she'd be willing, but I'd go with her recommendations because, as we know, if she's designing a suit for you and not on you, it comes out looking fabulous for you.
  6. Vy'drach, the kukri of West Greenhaven St.
  7. *WARNING* Tad bloody, it's a Fallout 3 thing.
  8. Ahh, gotta love the eighty-eight. WWII German engineering and weapon manufacturing is among my favourite. I jelly.
  9. G'damn it, that's another one I forgot. Batman: The Animated Series. It was actually dark, and had that amazing style of having modern day inventions, yet everything was still set up to make it seem as though it was taking place in the 1930's, a perfect melding of the Batman styles. And of course, who could forget these? https://www.youtube....h?v=gf7Tbt9ewY8 http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PI9HJ04c_U Mark Hamill is best joker.
  10. 10/10 Can never have enough Pinkamena Diane Pie.
  11. Oh how could I forget Samurai Jack, Powerpuff GIrls, and Courage the Cowardly Dog? I was just talking to my mom about Courage a couple days ago too (she loved it as well). I am ashamed of myself for that.
  12. An episode where there's a villain voiced by Jim Cummings, in the same way he voiced the Terror Mask for Splatterhouse. For those unfamiliar with the voice I'm talking about, you can hear a bit of it in this video. *WARNING* Video is rather bloody, it is called Splatterhouse for a reason. It may seem odd, but I would positively fangasm if they did that.
  13. Oh let's see, I has a list for this: Darkwing Duck Tailspin Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers Bump in the Night Road Rovers Animaniacs Power Rangers (the original) Bonkers Freakazoid Goof Troop Winnie the Pooh Gummi Bears And this: Fun fact, Jim Cummings, one of my favourite voice actors, is in a decent number of these.
  14. You, my good man (I'm assuming) have just earned another for that. As for me, something else I do is make themed characters in games based off characters from the show, and follow the theme as closely as I can. I have several in Dark Souls, for example. My characters are: Pinkamena Woona Celestia Shining Armour and Rarity I will be doing an Apple Jack one, and I'm sure several more as I get ideas to form. Pinkamena is a character that actually doesn't follow a theme, that's my "Play as I want" character. Woona wields the Moonlight Broadsword and Horn of the Moonlight Butterfly, uses magic (which is good as both those weapons are heavily based on the intelligence stat), wears Pharis' Hat which kiiinda sorta if you squint a lot looks like the Cartographer's Cap on a female charater. She will be in the Darkmoon Covenant, and also have the Darkmoon Bow. Celestia is a faith based character and uses Solaire of Astora's entire set of equipment, the "Iron and Sun" set, which has many pictures of a Sun on it, and she's a member of the Warriors of Sunlight covenant, and will wield the Sunlight Spear miracle (which is basically you throw incredibly powerful lightning bolts at people). The weapon is the Divine Sunlight Straightsword. Shining Armour wears the Paladin set (Gold and white, like his armour/coat), is a member of the Princess Guard covenant, and his weapons are the Darksword (kind of a conflict but the attacks on it are nice), and Ornstein the Dragonslayer's Spear (Very good spear that also matches the armour amazingly). Rarity is kind of a work in progress, and uses the whip mainly (This was based on a combination of me wanting to play through the game using the whip as much as possible due to it being a terrible weapon, a challenge mode if you will, still keeping the process going of themed characters, and a, perfectly clean mind you, picture of Rarity with a leather whip that says "What's the matter, afraid to get dirty?" And as for Applejack, due to the inability to effectively kick things to death (kicks deal no damage and just stagger enemies), I will instead use fist weapons, namely the Dragon Bone Fist in the right hand (Strongest fist weapon), and a Darkhand in the left (Gauntlent that when wielded in the left hand, works as a shield).
  15. Assuming it's not too late for this, I have one, though it's not an exact match and might need a little mental finnagling for it. Gonna post the song, then the lyrics in a spoiler to keep the post shorter. Now then, as for how this pertains to Friendship is Magic, it reminds me of Twilight and Celestia (mainly Twilight and her dream of entering the Academy for Gifted Unicorns), and I'll explain why. This is part of the mental finnagling. The master and student in the song are both male, just picture it not being so. Now then: Master! (Celestia) Apprentice! (Twilight) Heartborne, 7th Seeker (I'm sure there's something here, but I can't think of it atm, though Heartborne would be Twilight) Warrior! (Celestia is always giving Twilight important duties and she's willing to fight) Disciple! (Twilight is Celestia's protégé) In me the Wishmaster (Twilight always wanted to join the school for gifted unicorns, which we know she did, but she has also has had a significant impact in the wishes of others. Two largely notable examples are being paramount in defeating Nightmare Moon and reuniting Celestia with her long lost sister Luna, and if not for her spell giving Rarity her wings, Rarity would not of tried to win the competition and plummet to her doom, giving Dash the push she needed to perform the sonic rainboom, removing her self-doubts and restoring her confidence). A dreamy-eyed child staring into night (When she was young and practicing her magical ability to take the test, well into the night) On a journey to storyteller`s mind (To learn magic from unicorn instructors of the school) Whispers a wish speaks with the stars the words are silent in Him (Making a wish upon a star to be accepted to the school) Distant sigh from a lonely heart (A sigh of hope from someone who was not into making friends at that age) "I`ll be with you soon, my Shalafi" ("Shalafi" means "teacher" or "master," so she's saying she'll be with whoever her instructor is soon) Grey Havens my destiny (The unicorn school) Silvara Starbreeze (Silvara and Starbreeze were a silver dragon and elven princess respectively in the Dragonlance series. Hmm, a dragon and a princess, now why does that sound so familiar?) Sla-Mori the one known only by Him (Sla-Mori is a location in Dragonlance, and a similar thing with FiM would be the Ancient Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters, as its location was unknown beyond being in the Everfree Forest, and only Celestia would know it's whereabouts (and perhaps Nightmare Moon/Luna, but they were an antagonist at this point, and of course would not be of any help even if they could ask her, though also this line could probably be discarded as in this context it doesn't really fit all too well with the rest) To august realms, the sorcery within (To the unicorn academy and the magic there within) If you hear the call of arcane lore, (If you are gifted with magic) Your world shall rest on Earth no more (Your life won't be the same) A maiden elf calling with her cunning song "Meet me at the Inn of Last Home" Heartborne will find the way! (These three lines also need a bit of mental finnagling, but Celestia telling Twilight she'll be her personal student, thus Twilight not only found the way to be accepted to the school, but to be Celestia's personal student no less) Wishmaster (Twilight, of course) Crusade for Your will (Can be taken as either the quest to be accepted to the school, or how Twilight becomes Celestia's right hand, or hoof, rather) A child, dreamfinder The Apprentice becoming... (Once again stating how Twilight as a filly realized her dream, and became Celestia's apprentice) If you happen to find this to your liking, and I win a picture from it, then I would like a Steampunk Fancy Pants, if that would be alright (Been looking for a good one forever, as that character just screams "Steampunk me!") Now for a second one (relax, this one won't be long). This song reminds me of Pinkie Pie, and I will explain why. The entire song is just a bunch of "Lalalala" and four lines repeated, so no spoiling the lyrics this time. I will never be afraid again (Giggle at the ghosties) I will keep on fighting till the end (Fighting as in fighting boredom, monotony, and sadness, with fun, parties, and laughter, and she won't ever stop doing it) I can walk on water I can fly (She's flown a good number of times, and she was the only official lake scorer for a good while, in essence "walking on water") I will keep on fighting till I die (same as the second line)
  16. I'm male so I use brony, but if I'm feeling the need to be fancy or different (ie this:) I use the term miniature equine aficionado. Though as for you, use whichever one you are more comfortable with, or make up your own word if you want.
  17. It seems we both had a misunderstanding then, but to be fair you did come off, at least to me, as being rather anti-console, but I apologize for that implication. Anyway, my messages were built off the common arguments you hear from the elitist "PC Master Race" people who feel console gaming is for casuals and is in every way inferior to PC gaming. My point was that it isn't and it's personal preference which one you enjoy. And Dark Souls game mechanics are not broken to being unplayable, it's that they're not intended for mouse and keyboard. Demon's Souls, the predecessor to Dark Souls, had the same exact gameplay mechanics, and it was a PS3 exclusive. It's just that they were built around a controller input device. And while you can use a mouse to influence movement a bit in most games, Dark Souls is a game where it's usually a good idea to lock-on to targets, and you need to be able to move independantly from your camera view, which the keyboard lacks the ability to do. And I don't understand what you mean by it being a Skinnerbox. And as for mods being made on the PC, of course they are, that's where the development software is. Consoles are made to play games and that's it for the most part. Some can browse online or do youtube and stuff now, but that's trim. A console is still designed to play games first. As for consoles trying to be computers now, to be fair, what isn't trying to be a computer now-a-days. Consoles, handhelds, cellphones, MP3 players, tablets, microwave ovens, refridgerators, coffee makers, automobiles, tooth brushes, all sorts of things. Devices built for home gaming are the most reasonable out of all of those to receive computer features. And not to say your opinions are wrong, but those are some odd ones. Depending on what the system update is, and provided it's not a day one patch, they can be pretty beneficial. Computer games have been getting patches since about as long as they've been around, why's it so bad for consoles? Think about how many bugs and glitches made it through that the game would be better without. And as far as friends lists go, why shouldn't they be there? People like playing online with friends, and often make friends with people they meet online. They shouldn't be cutting out split-screen the way they have been, but friends lists have a reason to be there. Gamerscores are ignorable, though to be fair achievements can provide fun goals to go for, provided it's not silly things like, "Take a step." And as for pop'n'play, if there's a long day one patch, that tends to be a bad sign as it was a developer, or more accurately, a publisher that pushed a game out earlier than it should be and are trying to fix the problems they know it has through patches. Otherwise, it tends to just be a few things installed one time, with the developer logos and what not taking longer to get through, then it's pop'n'play after that.
  18. Haha, Blind Guardian is also an amazing band to listen to, and Nightwish is my favourite one. Can't say I've heard Sabaton, however. I shall have to remedy that, provided they aren't one of those scream/screech types.
  19. Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 is one of my favourite games (The entire Legacy of Kain series is on that list, but let's focus on this one). Exploring the land of Nosgoth as Kain before he rose to his height of power, learning and utilizing his vampiric gifts, wielding a plethora of weapons against his enemies, and drinking their blood to sustain your life, was an amazing experience in this game, especially when coupled with the amazing dialogue and story the Legacy of Kain series is known for.
  20. Niiice. I'm largely anti-social and lazy, and suffer a bit of xenophobia (in that I don't like strangers, not racism. Xenophobia is often used to mean racism, but it's not the only meaning. All it means is I tend to be uncomfortable around a bunch of people I don't know, not fear, but just a mood killer), so I am not really a concert goer. I was tempted to go to a Nightwish concert when they were around here, but then I remembered that it was Anette and not Tarja, and scrapped that plan.
  21. Good eye, mah boy. You are correct, it is a Killers shirt, and that's awesome you saw them in tour.
  22. Now say there, boy, what piece of equipment does that shell there belong to?
  23. BAM! Right in the childhood. Those were my favourite movies growing up, and I would have no problem watching them right now. As for me, I have two really. *WARNING* This one is a little bloody, in case that bothers you. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdWhlo9b9zg Sorry, I don't know what it is, probably the melody, but when I hear it, I just get choked up. Hehe, this inability to post multiple youtube videos at my current... level, I guess you'd call it, is making for some might weird goin's on's. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnnHprUGKF0 This one's a bit more evident as to why.
  24. Now that the warning issue has been taken care of, I can actually respond to this. The main legitimate complaint about Dark Souls being a poor port was because they took the Xbox version and didn't work to make graphics and resolution work properly on it, making it look bad graphically. Then there's people that complain that it is not easily played on keyboard/mouse, which is just being a Captain Obvious about it since the game was never designed to be played with a keyboard. It just lacks the precise movement on a joystick. And while a mouse offers the same range of movement as a joystick, when was the last time you used a mouse for movement? I haven't seen that since DOS games. Most, if not all, modern PC games use W-A-S-D for movement, which the directions you get to choose from with that set-up is: 1) Up "W" 2) Left "A" 3) Down "S" 4) Right "D" 5) Up-Right "WD" 6) Up-Left "WA" 7) Down-Left "AS" 8) Down-Right "AD" Eight directions, just as I said before. And while that may seem to cover all of the bases, in a game such as Dark Souls where a hair's breadth can mean the difference between successfully dodging an attack, or being cleaved, impaled, crushed, ignited, poisoned, toxined, exploded, eaten, any other physical abuse an enemy can inflict on you, and/or rolling off an edge into oblivion. The left joystick of a controller, the one that's used for movement, provides so much more range of motion, than a keyboard, and not just in directions, but in speed control. Whether you want to go sprinting ahead or move at a mere meter an hour, you can do it, and often times you do have to move slowly, whether it's sneaking up on an enemy for a backstab, or you're on a foot wide pathway that twists and turns, and falling off means death. To a difference that is not even worth mentioning except for the most uptight of people. If you're that hard up for shiny dirt, good for you, PC is undeniably your thing. For someone like me who doesn't care about graphics, it means nothing. As for processing, I haven't had issues with that on console except for certain instances where the developers mucked up and it's poorly optimized, but that's a developer's fault, not the system's. And you can actually upgrade consoles. You are able to put many PC harddrives into a PS3, but I have a 250gb model so I don't need to as I haven't even put a real dent in my free space. And as for graphics, those tend to improve with the console as well. Since I already posted it, I'll use Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros again. Compare that to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Both are current gen games, Ground Zeros is slated to be a PS3 title, yet it is graphically leaps and bounds ahead of Metal Gear Solid 4. Console games rarely, if ever, push the boundaries of the system. Launch titles don't look as good as ones that come out later usually (of course sometimes people slack off, making a subpar later release game), and early-ish releases don't look as good as ones that come out a couple years later. They don't push the system to its limits. Another example, and I know you don't like this game, is Starfox: Adventures. The visuals in that game are gorgeous, even by today's standards, and this came out in 2002 on one of those Gamecube mini-discs. The freedom to install your own hardware when you want is fine, if that's your thing, but I can play the same games on the console usually with out upgrading it in anyway, and have a gameplay experience that's not hampered or diminished in any way, and a surprisingly large amount of the time, is higher than what it is on the PC. As long as developers don't drop the ball, the difference is negligible at worst. Congratulations, you largely missed the point. My point wasn't "Hey, we're starting to get mods so you PC gamers better watch out!" Instead, it was that there is nothing stopping mods on consoles except for developers, and even then you can do it usually, it just requires you game installing data to the console, and not keeping it on the disc and only reading it. Ahh, the problem with the internet scene today. If someone has an opinion that differs greatly and is willing to debate the point, it's almost assured there will be a "butthurt" or "u mad bro?" thrown in there. I assure you my posterior feels fine and is not sore in the slightest. Also, your opinion isn't really controversial as it's rather the status quo of the gaming population's opinion. I'm sure my opinion that console gaming is not inferior to PC gaming, or PC gaming is not superior to console gaming (depending on how you want to word it), causes armies of geeks, nerds, and tech monkeys to turn over in their graves. And that's your opinion, your preference, and what's best for you, and who's to say otherwise? You prefer PC gaming, and not console, and there's nothing wrong with that. I, on the other hand, enjoy console gaming as much as, and often more than, PC gaming, and what usually decides it for me is what system I'll have more friends playing it on, with the exception of Borderlands 2 as that was a choice of the easy Steam preorder, or getting it on the Xbawks 3Shitty where most of my friends were getting it, at which point I'd have more fun solo with Borderlands 2 than having to deal with that god awful 360 controller and the room heater they call a system.
  25. I think you should own up to it a bit with them now. I don't know what your parents are like, but just throwing a rug over the elephant in the room won't accomplish anything at this point really, except be the easy way to avoid drama in the short term.
