  1. They already foreshadowed something like this with the Love is in Bloom song, with Spike and Sweetie Belle, Dash and Soarin, and Rarity with Fancy Pants. With the exception of maybe Spike and Sweetie Belle, it looked like implying. Personally, because of The Secret of my Excess, I'm still rooting for Spike and Rarity. And with all this death talk, it may be off topic, but I'd like them to officially state in the show that AJ's parents are dead (Faust already said that they are, somewhere. I remember that, but they didn't officially state it in the show due to the younger viewers, but in the Perfect Stallion song, there's a pony funeral so it's still possible). Oh, I forgot to mention what mine would be. Scootaloo turning out to be related to Dash, unless it's through some amazing story telling. But if it's just, "Hey, turns out Scootaloo is your second cousin," that'd just be too forced.
  2. Most of my western experience is Clint Eastwood, but I recommend Two Mules for Sister Sarah and Unforgiven. You really can't go wrong with Clint Eastwood or John Wayne when it comes to westerns.
  3. It depends largely on the game for whether or not it's keyboard/mouse or controller friendly. Try playing Dark Souls with a keyboard. I can guarantee it'd be practically unplayable. The reason why is the keyboard has all of eight directions you can move, and no control over what speed you move. Games may put a walk feature in for keyboard, but that's all of two speeds to move. Dark Souls, and it's predecessor Demon's Souls (a PS3 exclusive), is built upon precision movement, which you can not get with a keyboard. You can try to argue that point if you want, but you get eight directions where as a controller gets 360 of them. The only advantage keyboard and mouse really gets is an easier snap movement, but a little experience with a controller and you can do the same, provided you have a decent controller (such as the PS3 controller and not the Xbox controller). The only thing PC has over consoles really is graphics right now, which means nothing to me, and is being threatened by new games such as Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeros, which the trailer was made on a PC intentionally designed to have specs like the PS3. This will be released current gen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5IVOs5Pxh8 It looks practically lifelike, and that's an in-game graphics cinematic. The other advantage, is mods, which are more than capable of being utilized on the consoles, provided developers actually allow mod support (such as Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3, which had full user created mod support). Fallout 3 on PS3 is moddable, though it's difficult as it's not intended to be. Otherwise, it's a matter of pick your preference, shut up with the whole "PC Master Race" or "Console Fanboy" shit, sit down, and game to what you like. I prefer consoles, but that's me, and I'm not saying they're superior, just not inferior.
  4. It's been my universal online identity since Aliens vs. Predator 2, where I joined one of the more elite Predator clans, and part of joining it is you get a Yautja name, based on what is known of their language. I surprised the clan master by knowing what name I wanted, which was this one, which is the Yautja word for "Phoenix." But it's not some mythical bird that is reborn from its own ashes such as Philomena, but instead a dangerous desert-dwelling creature that lives in the deserts of the Yautja homeworld, and a prospective Spearmaster must journey into the deserts with heat so intense it can blister even the Yautja hide, and slay one with only a spear. Then they have earned the right to join the Spearmaster order, who take combat with their weapons to an art form, and they have armour fashioned from the hide of the Vy'drach, which is not only immune to fire, but actually able to replenish their energy from it, and it is also near immune to plasma. This coupled with their unmatched melee combat skills makes them well respected by other Yautja, and why they often become arbiters, who hunt down "bad blood" Yautja, which is to say Yautja that have dishonored themselves and run from the consequences, and are then hunted down. They are very feared by "bad bloods," as Yautja ranged weaponry is practically useless against them, leaving the combat largely to melee, which as previously stated, Spearmasters are practically unparalled in. My weapon of choice in Aliens vs. Predator 2 was the spear, and so I took that name to coincide with it as it is relevant to the Spearmasters.
  5. My friends jokingly rib me about it every now and then, but not actual bullying or harrassing. My mom doesn't really get it too much (yes, I still live at home at 22), but she's overall fine with it. Haven't told my dad because he's a bit of a redneck and might not understand, and I'd rather not lose my stuff (especially not my BronyCon poster my friend who worked security there got me autographed by Nicole Oliver, Andrea Libman, and Ashleigh Ball).
  6. Any starts a good star, as far as I'm concerned. What really started it for me was this: Ponified versions of Mayhem and Mischief (fursonas of Renard and his girlfriend, though Mayhem is also a character he uses for music, and is his one female alter-ego), and a humanized picture of Derpy Hooves which people explained was from Friendship is Magic, so I decided that the two were connected and there was a reason I was suddenly seeing ponies everywhere, and that led me to the show.
  7. Chocolate Chip Cookie Down ftfw. I love it and it is my go to ice cream when I feel the need to eat some. The delicious, creamy ice cream coupled with the chunky, yet smooth, cookie dough and the bits of chocolate mixed throughout it all. MmmMmm.
  8. It also likely became famous because wasn't it the first fanfiction to pull this kind of stunt, with nothing else before it being grimdark, or grimdark like this? I am not a fanfiction reader so I don't know, but "Cupcakes" was the first grimdark fiction I heard about.
  9. I didn't actually read it myself, but I read plenty of quotes that people posted of the parts that bothered them the most, and I had the same reaction. Partly to how bad the lines actually were, in writing, understanding of actual biology, and that if people were being bothered by it how it was, I could probably traumatize them into a coma if I were to do a rewrite. A friend called my bluff on this, and I told them details that were missing that would of made the scene more... disturbing. I'll spoiler things that might be too much for some people, just to not offend anyone. Now I grew up on on Turok, DOOM, Duke Nukem, PREDATOR, Aliens, and things like that. In Turok 2, you can . This didn't make me a more violent person, because I'm really not, but it did make it so if I need to come up with a violent scene I can have some ideas. Anyway, I believe it was the scene where This made my friend, who had nightmares after reading Cupcakes, to become nauseous and receive two more days of nightmares. Unfortunate, but he did call my bluff. I did read Rainbow Factory and had a similar reaction, though. Not because it was necessarily poorly written, but because it was in the weird place where it simultaneously suffered from too much or too little information. A lot of the scenes would of been made better by less or more information. The two most notable are The second one was, and this spoiler has important plot details, so it is literally a spoiler, Certainly hope this post wasn't too violent for the rules. Oh yeah, also, my lack of reading it but knowing enough about it has led to me being able to enjoy "Cupcakes" based things to their fullest usually with no consequences. I was addicted to CrookedTrees "Ask Pinkamena Diane Pie" tumblr, I just didn't like going to the first page due to that one NSFW one. But someone kindly asked him not to do stuff outside his NSFW tumblrs and he agreed, so the rest of the ones were fine, provided you could stand blood.
  10. Not to mention that while Treyarch tried to fix it's exploits (such as putting a rate of fire limiter on semi-automatic weapons so a turbo controller can't make them the fastest firing weapons in the game), InfinityWard attempted to cash in one them, can you say, "Hello official Modern Failure 2 turbo controller?" You could even see that the developers used them in the gameplay trailers.
  11. Two of me with my pride and joy possession, my Springfield M1A. Yes, I know I have the bipod up too high for practically shooting from the prone position, I just wanted to make sure it gets seen properly. Relax, nothing was shot that day, in actuality.
  12. The problem with Call of Duty isn't that it's the same game rereleased, but instead they change the wrong things in it. They went from a great working online system in 4, and threw balancing and any semblance of weapon realism out the window. Then, in Modern Warfare 2, they added so much useless fluff into the levels that the game will lag itself out as the system tries to process the fifty billion fluttering leaves, that it would stack with the already laggy online and make it practically unplayable. Then, they also added idiotic and one sided perks that had no business being there, and put nothing to really counter them in those slots. Modern Failure 2 is without a doubt the worst game I have ever played, and the only game I have gotten rid of. And I still own Enter the Matrix and Murakumo: Renegade Mech Pursuit to put that in perspective. Call of Duty 4, was great fun. World at War, while having a few odd weapon stats and the Mp40 and Stg44 were a tad bit of "Jesus guns," it was still great fun. Black Ops, was also a very fun game and actually tried to fix some of the problems of Call of Duty (such as quick scoping, which contrary to most CoD fanboys opinions, quick scoping is not the legitimate way to use a sniper rifle, and "hard scoping," or actually aiming with it, is not the cheap and skilless way to use it. It's the other way around, and the only reason quick scoping and dolphin diving are so popular on Call of Duty is because on the consoles, there is an aim assist that can not be deactivated, that will practically guarantee a hit with a quick scope, and dolphin diving causes your opponent's aim to slam into the ground). Want games that are the same ones rereleased? The early Resident Evils (and Dino Crisis). They all have the same exactly gameplay with minor changes at most, and no one complained? Why? That's exactly what you should be doing. You keep what made your games fun, and change what needs to be changed to make it feel like a new game (such as story, setting, characters, weapons, and maybe a few new enemies or so). The Resident Evil to receive the biggest change was Code Veronica with certain weapons being dual wielded, giving you the ability to hit one enemy twice or hit two enemies at the same time, and the knife being able to hit an enemy more than once per swing (which made it a deceptively powerful weapon against weaker enemies). That, is how you sequel.
  13. It is by far better than one I could do. I am terrible at the arts, which sucks because there's always arts I want to draw. Keep it up and don't lost that talent to laziness, or so help me I will give you such a papercut.
  14. Firearms. I have 25 of the lovely mechanical marvels, and I love them all dearly (as I don't get firearms I dislike, such as AR-15s). The crown jewel of my collection is my Springfield M1A, which the only difference between that and this: Is a couple of pieces of metal making the action fully automatic and forming the fire selector (it's a military M14 stock with the fire selector cutout groove). And it's not a shortened SOCOM model, it's full sized, wood furniture, and is simply beautiful. Expect a picture of me with it soon in the proper thread.
  15. Night time. There's less people to be bothersome, the air is crisp, it's quieter, it's cool, there's millions of stars as opposed to just one, and it's when I feel most inspired to do things. Shame none of us nighties were around in Equestria when Luna was feeling bitter about everyone missing her nights.
  16. I wouldn't feel too bad about it, mate. After all, the basis for your parents not wanting you to take it was based on, no offense to them, ignorance and a lack of trust in your ability to properly balance school and gaming.
  17. Just playin' (unless you accept), but that just described every girl my age here in Southern California I've met, and I am so sick of it. As for me, I have a near encyclopedic (so I'm told) knowledge of guns, and quite a decent collection (as decent as can be had in Southern California with their strict and more often than not outright idiotic gun laws). However, I don't hunt, as I do not like to harm animals, and the guns are just there for collection, enjoyable target shooting, and, if need be, home defense.
  18. Provided you have the self-control to not play the Xbox when you need to do something else, there's no issue with taking your Xbox that you payed for yourself, and that people there who have game consoles are going to be dropping out is a very loaded and presumptuous statement. The same could easily be said of World of Warcraft (the game that some people played nonstop until they dropped dead of exhaustion). But, I knew of a man back in the original Warcraft (when it was its most difficult and time consuming) who could get a Warrior from level 1 to 60 and in full tier 1 in two weeks, while having college, a job, and a girlfriend, and neglecting none of them. Granted it's a bit underhanded the way you took it with you after promising not to, but keep your parents posted on your grades, and provided you keep your grades good, I'm sure things will work out fine, provided you do not touch the thing while you have assignments that need to be worked on.
  19. No one's disputing the female characters are more popular, but there's enough male characters out there that someone could easily make plenty of straight ships if they wanted. It's not the lack of male characters as previously stated, it's the lack of interest. And I said I left out characters that had absolutely nothing noteworthy about them. Probably the most obscure is Cormano, but he's a possible reference to a video game character from a game called Sunset Riders, with Cormano being a bounty hunter that wears a pink hat, with Cormano in the show being a male pony with a pink cowboy hat in Appleoosa. Caesar and Hector are half of the four most commonly seen ponies of high society (the other two being Lyrica and Royal Ribbon, two females). Remember, Lyra and Bon Bon weren't noteworthy for anything except appearing noteworthy in the background (Lyra sitting and her insane hopping grin), and appearing often simultaneously, and look at the fanbase they have now. I didn't flesh anything out, but I could see the barebones basis for a ship with the ones I stated, and it didn't take effort.
  20. I dunno know it is about him, but he's damned hilarious. He's just one of those things that catches on, I suppose, and everyone has a good time with it.
  21. The best way to prove the lack of a decent vocabulary wrong is to use swear words and/or swear word combinations that aren't too common. The reactions you get to calling someone a "one eyed wallaby fleshstick" or a "post-lobotomy baboon" are hilarious. Though come to think of it these examples aren't so much swears. I have others that are more swears, but those are long chains of swears that might be a bit much for here. Let's just say my favourite one involves lots of implied incest.
  22. That video made me laugh more than it should have. Have fun and stay safe.
  23. 24. This makes me wish I had an OC, but I have a total mental block to it. I had no problem making two alternating fursonas just fine (nothing weird, just for when being human is boring), but I can't ponify myself to save my life, and this makes me sad.
