I just downloaded this album, so far I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I tip my hat off to these guys.

Really nice find, man. I stray away from bands with unreadable logos a lot but this is a notable exception. It's great stuff.

 

Anyway, I'm going to attempt to finally listen to "RIITIIR" by Enslaved later today.

Wait a minute, a Pony metal song that I don't hate?  When did this happen?

 

Guitars get a little understated when they aren't chugging, might consider bumping them a little in mastering next time around.  You've got solid mids, and decent lows even though they sound a bit strained when you hold them for too long.  Oooh, but I like how your real voice comes through a bit around 1:45-1:52.  Always brings more emotion into what you're saying, I feel.

 

Overall, I dig it.  Which is saying a lot when it comes to heavy attempts at Pony stuff.  Very few do it well, and I'd consider this the best one I've heard.

Having already heard "Embryonic Anomaly," I had low expectations for "Dingir." And once again, they were met. Why is this band writing br00tal breakdowns into their songs when their leads are so fast? Also the drums are triggered to shit again (though they sound better (really, the whole album has a better production quality)) and the new vocalist sounds like a Mitch Lucker ripoff.

 

3-4/10 would not recommend

Stop making me choose between two bands I like alot.

 

Within the Ruins leans more towards metalcore, though. At least on anything they did before Invade.

 

I think we can both agree that both bands have pretty awful lyrics though, right?
