A friend of mine who puts out music under the name Goodthink just released his second album entitled Ascend. It's got a lot of different genres on it, from mathcore to post-rock to atmo-sludge and everything in between. Get it at a name-your-price basis on his Bandcamp.

Overall, I'm not super impressed or blown away or anything, but the song Requiem is pretty badass in my opinion. This album isn't really anything like the previous a7x albums, I could see people who weren't fans of them before maybe liking this album, I don't know.

When I'm not listening to heavy, hip-hop, soul, or pop-punk, I'm listening to EDM.

 

Madeon is my go to right now.  He's got serious chops as far as mixing goes.  His tunes are just so damn bouncy.

It really seems as if it has been, I can sense the elements of Hardcore in certain Pop Punk songs nowadays too.
