It also happens to be my favorite grind album. Ten out of ten all day everyday. Other favorites include Agoraphobic Nosebleed's "Agorapocalypse," Rotten Sound's "Cursed," Naked City's "Torture Graden," and Wormrot's "Dirge."

Seeing how Chino is collaborating with members of this now-deceased project, I'd like to get myself more acquainted with both ISIS and the Deftones than I am now. Mostly the Deftones. White Pony is more alternative, mellow stuff. Deftones (self titled album) took that formula and made it 100x better by adding Chino's screams to it. That album is my favorite from them, and it never gets old.

I'm sad that no one ever talks about this band. With Dead Hands Rising was constantly touring and being amazing. Then they switched lineup/style, and everything went to shit.

 

This is Tourniquet Girl. It was their flagship song from the first album. They did a remastered version for their debut of the new style, and though the production is better, the song just... sounds... bad. Do you guys agree?

 

The first one is the old, the second is the new.

Bahaha, I actually remember feeling bad for BOO when I saw them in Illinois. It was a hometown show, but their second album kind of sucked, and after All Shall Perish was done playing, half the show left, with people saying "ALL SHALL PERISH IS DONE NOTHING LEFT TO WATCH LUUL."

HAHA. I WIN. So, I kinda had a not-so-metal day today, mostly out of being tired all day. Unless of course you count Corelia's Nostalgia EP, which didn't do much for me (I see them as a Periphery knockoff, except less djent-like). Most of my day was spent listening to Sigur Ros' "( )," or as I like to call it, their "parenthetically titled" record. It's actually a really emotional one for me, and one of the reasons I love post-rock when I'm in the proper mood.

I agree. My mom will always complain in the summer when I put on some poolside instrumental stuff, like DJ Shadow, and she'll be like, "I WANT WORDS FEUIFHEJCFBGVJLHLRD." Well not that intense, but you know what I mean (I hope).

I decided to listen to those bands that I blindly judged as gay metal. Like, A Day to Remember, Peirce the Veil, Suicide Silence... And honestly, I think I was kind of right in assuming that. They don't really have any special distinction from every other band like them out there.

Meh, Suicide Silence is alright. There's definitely worse bands out there that make metalheads explode with rage. Don't make me bring out Design The Skyline again.
