Another thing: I just tried to look up Year of Desolation's The Economy of Excess on Youtube and I got a bunch of political BS videos and playlists and not a single video for the song or even YoD.

 

Anyway, this is another band that's been showing up more and I like them.

I've always said that there needs to be more female vocalists in metal. I've yet to be disproven of this and I've never been disappointed by a female vocalist.
Now, Blind Guardian often has some AMAZING vocals but....these guys really know how to make an instrumental.

I remember hearing a screamer that sounded kinda similar to her on the radio once. I couldn't for the life of me remember who it was though. The only thing I even remember from the song is something about revolving around mars or somethin'. That's not anything to go by. >_<

I find that most female harsh vocals all sound pretty similar, to be honest. The only female vocalist I've ever heard who I was unable to tell that it was a woman is the lead from Cerebral Bore.

The world can never have too much Scar Symmetry, much less this thread.  Such a great band.  Granted, I haven't listened to them all too much after Chris Alvestam peaced out, but sweet Jesus they haven't lost a beat in their stuff at all, imo.  

 

 

By far my favorite song from their last album, post-Alvestam.  Intro gets me everytime.
