Oh, also: I taught myself how to sing "ornaments" such as triplets (a pair of three notes that take one beat), grace notes (a note that is played a split second before the note that was to be played ie. ga [note the "g" in subscript. It is the grace note.])

Interesting, and yeah I know about triplets and grace notes, since I play trumpet in band and thus know music theory from that.

 

I feel like it would be quite difficult to sing triplets and grace notes though, maybe i'm just over thinking it though ;p.

It's not difficult to sing them. It's best to sing them on the current syllable you're singing, and lead into the next.

 

Like:

 

You crushed the e ne my. 

 

The italicized letter is a place where you can do a grace note, while the syllable in bold is where you can do a triplet and lead in to the next.
