Kid Icarus was a game made for the Nintendo Entertainment System by Nintendo. It starred the Angel Pit who went to the Underworld to rescue Lady Palutena, the goddess of light, and to defeat Medusa, the goddess of darkness. It was a good game, and later got a sequel for the Game Boy called Kid Icarus; Of Myth and Monsters. And that's when the series went quiet. Aside from the rare cameo, and a Super Smash Bros. Melee trophy hinting at his return, it seemed like this angel had flown his last flight.

 

Flash forward to 2006, where the Super Smash Bros. Brawl trailer is first shown, showing off new characters, such as Meta-Knight, Zero Suit Samus, Wario, Snake, and surprisingly Pit, in an updated design. This design would be used later, because in 2010, Kid Icarus; Uprising was announced for the newly unveiled 3DS!

 

So, how do you revive a 25 year old platformer, with a basic premise?

So, who, like me, made a reservation of this game and is gonna pick it up tomorrow along with the downloadable code for the original game enhanced in 3D? And if not, do you plan to get it soon?

Playing with Pit on brawl was amazing and he easily became my 2nd favorite to use (1st is always Kirby<3)

So i'm quite excited to see him out of his platformer environment and put into a more adventure oriented one.

I found myself laughing at the Eggplant Wizard dialogue in chapter 4 and the Pandora banter in chapter 5 xD That was just... LOL Pit and Palutena break the 4th wall way too much xD

lol, Pittoo... I just beat chapter 6... Using the Flintlock Staff... And I took several blows too... Saw my health gauge shatter several times, but not the wing... Never have my hands sweated so much just fighting a boss as they did now x_x But considering I have not died when I used the staff, I... Kinda like it! Ranged weapon designed for sniping, seems pretty good. Especially since the charged shot is instantaneous, or so it seems
