My car is '90 maroon Honda Accord.  She still runs great.  Her name is Sif, after the resident AI on Harvets in the Halo novel.  I love Sif.  The car, that is.  She's treated me well, and I have done the same.  It's funny--I'm not a gearhead or car guy by any means, but I tend to think of Sif as a friend and companion, who I would never want to sell or hurt.  A good friend of mine is a huge car guy, by hobby and profession.  He even drag races.  I think he's in the "elevens" for the quarter mile.  I guess that's suppose to be good?  I have no idea.  All of his many vehicles have names.

 

Interesting factoid-- all of my computers and video game consoles have names as well.  I mean, all computers and game consoles today have names, just so they are listed as something on the network.  But for most folks it's always "Dad's Computer," "Downstairs Computer," "Billy's Computer," etc.  Mine have actual names, because again, they are friends and companions.  I'm so lonely...

But I sometimes call my marching tuba "Pinkie" after Pinkie Pie, of course. Mainly because of the episode with the Parasprites. She played one.

We used to have another one that I affectionately called "a piece of junk".

 

I don't give much thought to these things. I think it would be better to name fleet vehicles.

 

Although I consider the General Lee to be the coolest, most badass, and best themed car name of all time.
