SolidTwilight 383 August 20, 2014 Share August 20, 2014 So have you ever done something that you never thought you could do, and did not fully understand just have big of a moment it was until just after you finished doing it? some times you do something that is really amazing and you don't even realize just how amazing it was until every one around you keeps telling you about it. you just saw something that need to be done and you did it, and after every one is telling you "I could never have done that" and your just thinking, "I never stopped to think if I could or could not do it, I just did it. I also never thought about not doing it, I just saw something hat need doing and did it". one of the reasons that sonic rainboom in one of my favorite episodes is because I have had a few moments likes this in my life and I know exactly the type of stuff that RD is feeling and thinking for the hole episode. so tell me, what was your sonic rainboom moment in real life? ghostfacekiller39 23,860 August 20, 2014 Share August 20, 2014 Yeahh. Every time I see the name "Sonic Rainboom" brought up, I don't puke That's a HUGE "I didn't think I could do it but I did" moment I still cringe like the dickens, though 1 He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Invincible 2,092 August 20, 2014 Share August 20, 2014 I tend to rationalize my actions, but iv'e done lot of spur of the moment things before, too. Once when i was 9, me and some friends broke into a local orchard in order to steal some fruit. It wasn't long before we were spotted - i was this close to being captured - i never ran so fast in my life, my friends that were ahead of me climbed over a fence to escape, but i had no time. Noticing a hole in the fence, i actually dived right through it. I was sure i'll miss it and hurt myself, but i actually managed to escape. 2 My OCs for Roleplay purposes: o Lit Fuse (http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/lit-fuse-r6608) o Dust Devil (http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/dust-devil-r7357)
SparklingSquirrels 21,368 August 20, 2014 Share August 20, 2014 Hmm... the closest thing I can think of is when I won my event at a swim meet. It was a harder event, and I wasn't expecting to come in first (I was never one of the fastest swimmers on the team) so I was really surprised when I won it. That's only happened once though 1 ֍֎֍֎

joecal97 340 August 20, 2014 Share August 20, 2014 I was told I couldn't shoot a can at 65m. (With a .22 rifle) I made a bet with that person I could, and when I did, he would have to return something very precious to my friend, that I knew he had taken previously. He agreed, and (honestly here) as I took aim, controlled my breathing etc. I pictured the rainboom scene in my head, took aim as the cone formed on Dashie, and fired as she rainboomed. I am not a person who believes in things being affected by anything other than nature and peoples choices, but when that can hit the floor, and I saw the look of disbelief on that guys face, I was pretty sure that moment was along the same lines of what Dashie was feeling when she was crowned best flyer If you actually took the time to read my forum post, I thank Love you Dashie
Miles 2,513 August 20, 2014 Share August 20, 2014 Hmm... well, I probably have a few of these, but here's something off the top of my head:I used to be bullied alot in junior high. Sometimes by different people, but there was one consistent person who bullied me. I'm not sure what it was that made him single me out. I mean, I wasn't a "small" kid, I wasn't overly nerdy (okay I was slightly nerdy, still am)... But probably the reason was that I pretty much always [metaphorically] turned the other cheek. I never did anything back. I just took it. You may be wondering what exactly it was that he did in bullying me. Well, it wasn't just verbal, it was physical too. Sometimes he would randomly push me around... trip me... hit me (not horribly hard, but, hard enough that it hurt). So, as a 7th grader at the time, I finally came to a point where I said, F this bullcrap, I can't take it anymore. I told myself I was gonna do something about it, but I didn't know what. Time went on, I never really did anything... until one day, when I was getting my books out of my locker to go to class, he came up behind me and shoved my head against the sides of my open locker (they were narrow lockers, and my head hit squarely where both the left and right sides of the open locker hit my head). And right then and there, my switch was flipped for a few seconds. I turned around, and as he was walking away (laughing of course, and yes he was facing the opposite direction walking away), I walked up behind him, grabbed the side of his head with my hand, and, as hard as I could, with all the strength I could muster up, I slammed that loser's head into a closed locker. He dropped, stunned. And there he sat on the ground, looking at me with a facial expression that said *holy sh--, I was not expecting that* ... And, as I went to class and sat down, I was thinking to myself, oh my gosh, I can't believe I just did that! - I can't believe I just showed the bully who he was messing with! He didn't f--- with me again after that ... 1 ~ Rise And Rise Again, Until Lambs Become Lions ~
SkyDream 315 August 21, 2014 Share August 21, 2014 It's a little mundane, but one of the few things I can think of that fits the criteria of the topic that are in fact literally mundane by today's definition is when I learned to climb and move my body around in ways most people don't. It's when I realized I'm a lot stronger than I look when it comes to climbing. I fairly often climb the steel shelves at work when I need to pass something down to a coworker. There isn't a ladder tall enough, so I decided to not let myself get stopped by physical objects. Another great moment of explosive realization was when I realized what the purpose of my life is. Everything has been going smoothly since then. Being vague on purpose because I don't feel like typing for two hours.

Some of my happiest moments are when I've fixed peoples' problems for them. Except I seem to be inclined to do it for free. I really need to stop doing that. It's going to destroy me and I don't even care. This is fantastic.

Early Sunsets 2,108 July 8, 2019 Share July 8, 2019 Kind of. There's one hilarious moment I remember from a couple of years ago that I know I'll never be able to do again. Me and a few friends from high school were at a mini golf course when a bee flew over to us. Everyone else ran away and I just kind of swung my putter at it and killed it. Probably the proudest moment of my life, which is kind of pitiful. Dreambiscuit 10,561 July 8, 2019 Share July 8, 2019 Little moments here and there like winning a recent art contest, and singing with a guest at work, which I'm not really authorized or qualified to do (but for some reason it came out pretty good). I don't think they'd qualify for Sonic Rainboom level, but I'll take the small victories.
The Historian 516 July 8, 2019 Share July 8, 2019 Many moons ago, I was bowling in a tournament and got ten strikes in a row. Probably the only time I've actually done that in a tournament. Done it prior to that of course. Oh, and the time I actually made the 7-10 split. That was pretty goddamn baller. NZG | RA2M | BBPCG
