 Shee, what I headcannon, is that Kirins, as they cannonically, in show, can flare up like that at will... is that that fire is purely Aura in magic. It doesn't actually burn, per se, like the pokemon Ponyta where if it likes ya well enough as a friend & trainer, you can ride right in the middle of its literal fire mane. Maybe, if you held their special flame on a spot, it could catch fire, like if you just threw bundles of kindling sticks at them, it'd catch fire... or light clothing, but nah. Any pony ought be able to put a hoof on a Kirin. I'm sure you've seen pics.

 IF GRUHEAFGUH- *tea throat gurgles* You goin' outta ya way to have a flame retardant pony just for lil' ol' me, then dont you worry! It'll be fiiiiine! Draconequus Promiseequus!

 The crux of this character is to NOT be slinging fire all over or be causing structural damage all easy like! That's my OTHER character list!! You'll know them when ya see them! Which reminds me, ask me if you ever need a zombie-pony with a cleaver.... ANYWAY! 

It's an emotional, friendship roleplay I seek! And here I figured, you, Monsieur de bomb technician pony that you be, you'd appreciate a flint-skinned horse like unto myself!

Sorry, sorry... sleeps been off and thereby my focus. Been sneezing through most nights.

I don' wanna give you tha' impression I gonna go off on you if you don't keep reigns on me from wrecking everything you present to me. I do make my many characters central around the notion of mercurial or catalytic in personality. Like, basically if you give me the option of an obviously trapped chest that will result in an encounter and everybody else in the party can see that... I'll take the bait for whatever adventure we have available.

Sufficed to say, I'll take whoever you're willing to use! I'm not choosy, myself! Just under the impression your Sharkpony isn't the talkative sort on grounds that she's been created, like, in the past couple of days. As I said, I am aiming for here to be more of a social, talking RP.

I have no idea who you are, you can't just make insinuations like that and assume strangers are going to take it well. For all I know, you might have a chip on your shoulder. My point is that I have no reason to trust that you are.

Hey there. sorry for no response before now, but I have vacation time, visiting family members, so I don't watch here a lot. The char looks nice (though you may need to put some bandages on that arm of yours), so that's a good start.

However, before I move on, from what I can read up here, there have been a minor communication issue between @Widdershins and you. From what I can see, there were no malice in what Widdershins said, but it were misinterpreted. The forum have had a lot of places to put char bios, so it can be sort of crazy how many places there are for them. Seems like you two worked it out though? I can attest that he didn't write anything with malicious intend. He doesn't do so in general, and the way it were worded, tells me that he literally just meant that there were another place to put characters now, and it surprised him. Let's all remain calm and rational here, aight?  It was a minor snafu, coming from a misinterpreted sentence. So let's cleanse the air, and start over.

Now, on to the character!

And quite frankly, I like her. Don't see a lot of crystal ponies around here, so it's good to have one around, and this one certainly hads a well thought out, interesting backstory. Interesting powers, that aren't overbearing, a strong personality to work with, and a generally easy going character to boot it appears. I'm easily giving this an approved mark.

Although, might I ask a little more in to what kind of RP partner you may wish for her to have? Someone not mean, obviously, but beyond that? I have about twenty chars, most of them friendly to varying degrees, and can use one as need be. I just kind of need a direction.

For example:

Unnamed shark pony. Curious, incredibly innocent, and only have about thirty hours of being a pony to her story, as she is a shark that my draconequus teleported in and evolved, to solve an issue with some monstrous frogs. Whom she had also accidentally let loose on town. Currently she's fluttering around town, or in the forest. Mostly either looking for most frogs to hunt, or trying to integrate into this strange new surface world she have been put into.

She were last seen pulling a stallion by his tail, in a misguided attempt at getting herself a mate, after seeing other mares wandering with their significant others. She is talkative, though new words she drags on a little, as she tries to say them for the first time. And example text would be:

"Friend is Sleeeeee-ppy... Sleepy. Friend sleepy? Need help with sleep place?"

She have a minimal understanding of how others are right now, with her education boiling down to categorizing some things as *Food* *Not food* and *Friend*. Ponies, and other creatures that talks, are friends. Their pets are not-food. Frogs and fish are food. If you'd like someone who is trying to learn, and doesn't have anything shackling them down, or much of a care in the world, this one may fit you well. She also hangs around Ponyville, and if someone tried to hurt her friends, she'd not be kind to them. As an added bonus, you may get a chance to name her via the RP itself, for a bit of fun, as she have none.

Amazon Lily, of the Coastal Guard. On medical leave, after an unfortunate encounter, lead to her getting severely hurt, and needing extensive surgery. She is looking around to try and help others while on her vacation, and seeing more of Equestria, than the town of Shark Bay where she comes from. A coastal town, that holds the Coastal Guard headquarters. She's friendly, but more structured in how she'd deal with things, and may get a little strict on Limbo, for not taking things seriously enough. Especially since there is a lot of dangers out there in the world.

Those are just a few examples, to give you an inkling about what I mean. So, might I please know more of your preferences?

Maybe Cover Up then? He's a little nervous, and might get spooked at first, seeing the flare up, but he'd like to find some friends. He's friendly, kind, and generally does his best to not offend anyone. He also have a magic brush and ink well, that he uses to apply or remove ink, or dark painting. Hence he can make tattoos. He inked himself as an example.. Mostly to cover up the myriad of scars that he have, after a building in his destroyed home town fell upon him. They're still visible if you get up really close though, and look carefully.

As an outsider himself - came from a family of settlers from another country, with different traditions and norms - he might relate better to you, than the average pony as well.

Oh, not you too. I have no emotional investment in this. My point, as I must restate again, is that saying your slapping character info around doesn't translate well to strangers. If I was more familiar with him, then I could take it like the joke he intended it to be. That's all. I'm not even telling him not to make those jokes. I'm just saying its a bad opener.

I understand that we also don't know each other, so I see why you assume I have some emotional investment. I hope I can prove you wrong going forward.

I'm torn between your examples. On one hoof, Limbo works well with a straight pony to bounce off of. On the other, the shark can have some interesting chemistry as they are both fish out of water but with very different origins.

I'm also curios about the other 18 chars or so, but it looks like you suggested these for a reason. I'm leaning toward shark, but I'd prefer to interact with the character you are most confident/excited to see.

 Far as I can tell, nothing has yet to occur here. I was saying you did a thing. That's it. There's nothing further. There is absolutely no depth or hidden meaning behind anything I say, because it betrays logic that I would say something I don't mean. I might have been flowery in description and said alot, but as far as I can tell, we've yet to interact. That's why I didn't mention you, either literally or figuratively, as that was an additional tacked on "Postscript." I read nothing, have nothing to go on. There was no opinion made as I noticed you at a time both rushed & unaware to have actually registered anything.

If anything you appeared more concerned over registering a negative then contemplating a positive. And I'd worry about you from that like a mother her child. But perhaps that's harsh of me to point out. Either way, I don't remember and you're new to me.

I have a ton of characters, to fit various situations, and settings. As well as with racial preferences. Dragons, griffin, draconequui, sphinx, ponies of all kinds, zebras, bat ponies, miscellaneous- And that's just races. Got spa workers, adventurers, cafe workers, rich ponies, black market dealers, engineers, inventors, alchemists, etc. So I need some degree of direction on where to go. Sometimes I can tell, judging by the bios, but not always. Best I can then do, is offer some suggestions. The ones I showed, were what came to mind, off the top of my head.

As for how it stands now, I think I will keep my suggestion going with the shark. They will be able to connect better, and as she is a very curious sort, who makes contact with others all the time, in an attempt to socialize, it will invariably include some that are more structured. Including potential Coastal Guard members, local business owners, and potential oddities wandering about. Her creator is also inhabiting the old castle of the two sisters, within the Everfree Forest. That is as well, a potential encounters to be had. Especially as that particular draconequus, are starting to have fun with most who wanders through the forest in general.

As for how a meeting would happen between your char, and the shark, it's probably just that Limbo comes into town, and finds that she's being followed by an odd looking pony, fluttering around in the air, potentially distracted after having followed a bird. It doesn't take a lot to distract her.

Eight spindly, long legs would gently wander on them, and as she stepped off one, it would suddenly appear in front of her, to step on that next, rather than hit the ground. Each of the legs were a different color, and leading into a dark-multicolored torso. Behind it, an abdomen dangled, following the same pattern of darker rainbow colors that the torso did, with a marking on top. One that looked like a cackling, malnourished equine face, which if you looked on it, would move to look at you with its empty eyes. Sockets carrying a sense of malice, yet there were a circle of mint-green clouds dancing around and through it, which radiated a sense of calm. It would mean that the more you looked, the more there would be both a duality of fear and peace that would go through you, though which one were noticed the most, would wary by how the viewer felt. If they were balanced, it would be neutrality, and the face would be smiling in their eyes.

As for the rest of the being, the torso would change from the thin, almost bone-like spider beneath, to a risen body of a mare, belly upwards. She'd be thin and much like the face, seeming malnourished, with visible ribs showing. Instead of front legs, she would have no arms or legs, but just free floating dark hands, with clawed, elongated fingers, which were currently gathered together, palm to palm.

Further up the dark-grey equine body, you'd find it ending in an equine head. Malnourished as the one on the back, with the skin seemingly just covering the skull. From her head sprang minty-green, long hair, which despite being clearly rather thin, still somehow managed to spring lusciously and long, and gathering in three formations to the back, and sides of her head. The formations being simple circles, looping perfectly. And within each of those circles, were a small, golden figure. One looking like an open maw, within a maw. Another like the head pictured on her abdomen. And the third of a hand, clutching a coin.

Her teeth were looking like they had been cleaned in mossy water, and as she opened her eyes, you'd find that there were little more than pure darkness, with a small, flickering yellow light deep within each of them.

The whole look of the essentially malnourished, gangly drov-like creature, should be inducing fear to those around her, and yet she radiated only peace and calm. Even in her eyes, one would find only kindness and warmth, though it didn't seem fitting of the creature, which had the height of an alicorn, and floated on the lily pads, a quarter meter above ground

Some other things seemed to be worn by her. Each leg had a golden ring near the *knee*, with three of them inscribed with a name each. *Avarice* *Consumption* and *Fright*. The rest seemed blank for now.

She also had small bowls floating near her, each filled with seeds, or water, whereupon birds would randomly land upon, to take joy in either.

There were also floating a somewhat large assortment of ornaments around her body, in varied patterns. They were all no bigger than half a bottlecap, yet several of them seemed to be too complex to have always been said size, and there were seemingly hundreds of them too.

This is the description of Fright. Birthed long ago, during one of Discord's tricks causing so much fear, that it coalesced into a new draconequui. She doesn't go around and cause fear though, as much as does hers to alleviate it. She have a pocket dimension with a permanent opening to it, in the forest outside of Deltrot. Within it, she runs a temple, where she helps others to overcome their fears, and general things to help calm others. Meditation for example.

As for shark pony, I ain't against it, but would need more info.

(Edit) Forgot to mention, that Fright hasn't always tried to alleviate fear. A special being she met some centuries ago, made her open her eyes, and understand she could do so much more, than merely frighten others. Much of the wisdom said being imparted on her, is eternally carved into the stones near where she resides, in her temple. As she doesn't try to change the world into a chaotic landscape, or really cause any sort of harm, she's generally not seen as a threat, and contend with her current arrangement with the princesses.

I don't remember if I have asked this before, but how does Lyriel's connection to nature work? I'm mainly asking because I'm bad with coming up whole situations and figured that since it's to me to decide the next place/event whenever I can get to responding, Lyriel and Scarecrow could meet one of my other characters who hasn't really had chance to be in any RPs (a simple one-off meeting most likely) and I'd just like to know if she would be able to sense his true nature, (basically it's a werewolf kind of a situation where pony transforms to a different creature in moonlight and back to pony in the sun, but like with something like Hulk, the two forms are different beings rather than two sides of the same being.) and if yes, in what way.

Basically, she can manipulate natural things. make trees bend, regrow plants, and have some degree of adaptability over her own form. She changed into the pony form to fit in better, over her former one, yet that took over a day. The roots she is now using, are her hooves, and is a taxing thing to do, that leaves her rooted in place, quite literally. If there laid seeds around, she could have them flourish rather fast though.

Beyond t hat, she can understand the language of all animals, and animals are naturally drawn to her. Not forced, but they'll feel a certain kinship, and want to go to her. Sort of like with Fluttershy really.

As for a werewolf, I think his inner beast would react to her, and get drawn to it, but she wouldn't know he were a beast, nor understand him any differently, unless he started to growl or howl. At best, she may find him more calming than the general pony in town, but would just think it because he may be an outdoorsman.

Oh bosh! You/We being so pedantic there! You've stated specifically that you're only rule for what constitutes a Draconequus is that they're basically a "Thought Construct." A concept given sentient form. And ALSO, that the whole of the species exists just because John DeLancie took a job offer for the laughs when the place wasn't actually prepared to write in/create a character for such a high grade B-Lister!

Gad, hope he never reads this. But yes, she counts. It's easy enough to just loosely attach "exists because of Discord shenanigans." But I do that myself, he kind of did send out a Chaos magic pulse and temporarily reworked the planet so there's bound to be lasting effects to that. ... "long term side-effects no one knew about until now, when we have to deal with it" does quantify under "Chaos Magic."

But I digress.

My second rule for what makes a Draconequus is that they have to be representative of a concept. And yes, Draconequus Spirit of Snacking on Apples is a vacant, and applicable title to wear. "Apple-icable~" But, the major flaw to that rule... as I keep harping on my worse half here Hey! ...Fair.  is that such things are highly variable and what invokes, represents or refers is too much in flux to even matter enough to pin down and define to replicate. Reference Humor gets a laugh, but can't work on the precedent of just stating things are like things. What makes something symbolic is dependant on the author... and an obscure, neat, potentially meaningless observation to the audience. The Draconequus Spirit of Fear doesn't have to be made of skulls and blood. In fact, i'm pretty dead certain i've seen the Spirit of Fear lately formed as a snooty white woman with blond, posh hair.

My point here being... if you introduced yourself as: "I'm the Draconequus Spirit of War & Bloodshed. But war has been pretty lax these days so I put that on the backburner for now and reformed. I just run a nice spa in downtown Detrot these days." ...where does... that leave you then? A Draconequus acting against its central concept should, arguably, cause its existence to either overwrite or delete itself from the fabric of reality. But this does work alot better with certain embodied concepts then others. Think you did well with yours, Fear takes many forms indeed.

 Although... uh... one thing to keep in mind with those of us that are born of emboding a concept. Draconequui don't like sharing. It's all very well to state that your shtick is totally different from any other synonyms of it. Being "of Comedy",  "of Jokes" or "of Laughter." is fine. But if you don't become notably distinct enough, do expect to eventually find a much more powerful draconequus that tasks you to plead your case against... well, uh... being merged into a single consciousness.

Draconequui, for all the lack of rules & hierarchy we have... kind of big issues with our identity being unique and our mental state. It comes with being a species that can literally think itself out of existence.

 

 But cheifly, the only fault I have, is that you're a tad overdesigned. But, I've kind of come to expect that of you. In a good wayy, I mean. A sort of artistic style, hehe!

 Like, Fright has basically the back of a Comic Book Lenticular cover! Like, not only is a sextapod (octopod?...arachnid.) but also free floating magical hands, a different band of gold on each leg, but I think also writing on her skin? As well as a back that varies depending on viewer? Eventually down the list I start taking notes about details in case that'll be on the test later for when I have to interact with her, lol

It's kind of a thing in OCs to also keep in mind, like bangles and clothes they wear will not always be there. Jewelry can be removed (presumeably) and its not like one character will only ever wear one shirt of one specific pattern like they do in so many video games. 

Heh heh, I can imagine you trying to comission art of Fright and the artist is just sitting there sweating bullets on which leg had which gold band!
