Will get the post out tomorrow. Had a tooth issue I needed sorted today, but unless it falls out again, tomorrow should be nice and clear for writing.

I know how you feel with dental stuff. I've had so much done to my mouth involving the fact I was born without two adult teeth, that I essentially have 5K in my mouth.

But anyways, take your time to rest, and we will all support you and be patient. :squee:

I set up what'll happen with Zheeva and Cherish for the time being, and made it so they can get on their way. The conclusion to the town story will remain what it were, but I just rush through it, and cover the important bits in a passing conversation at a later point. :) I hope this will suffice?

It shall suffice for me. It works well enough to move things along. Having said that, the one having the visions isn't Atzy. Atzy is a gemling from what I remember us doing and Karmic, the white mare with a ying yang symbol, is the one having the visions because that's her cutie mark. Seeing every future at once and trying to determine what fate has in store for ponies and other creatures.

@Blitz Boom
Once again the week really drained me in such way that my head is foggy as the roads in a humid morning, so I'll push my response to next week, I even had trouble coming up with wording for this :scoots:

I completely get that. The last like, month have been a mess due to tourist season. But it's finally ending. Hopefully when you're back next week, it's back to things as usual. ^^

I'll see ya then. :)

@EQ_Theta

Mentioned it a few times in the past, so just refreshed the whole thing with the old elder, in case you want him back. If not, ignore it. ^^

Also, for Evergrown, do you want there to be some in the forest? I can start making some preparations if it were.

@Blitz Boom

I didn't really have any plans to bring back former elder Solasan, but mentioning him in dialogue when he gets brought up is all good.

As for the Evergrown, I think having an encounter in the forest could be interesting. With the longma and Omen preparing to travel into the forest, meeting one could give them a little more information to work with when they meet with the elders. I'm thinking I can work with what Omen said in your post about a place in the forest where "plants grow very fast sometimes" as a possible starting point where the Evergrown can be introduced. After that, I'm up with what you've got prepared for the Evergrown!

@EQ_Theta

Roger that. :) Though some basic information, in case you wanna go with some yourself too.

Basically, all Evergrown came into being, about 600 years ago, in a desert far south of Equestria, where there used to be a desert. Every time a seed is sprouted from their main tree - which can take anywhere from a week to decades - a group is made that travels from their home, and finds a new place to call home, where they plant the seed. It will give birth to a new of their sacred trees. The evergrown tends to then cast a glimmer over the area, to keep it out of sight, as the last time they dealt with outsiders on a large scale, did not go well.

Any creature who were in the area when the tree sprouted, in a given area, that is considered higher sentience, would be converted to an evergrown too. It varies with each tree how big of a radius, with the seedseer (main leader in their primary home) usually being able to tell. We can say this had a low radius, to avoid any potential issues, as they'd be required to go around and check for creatures in the area, as it is taboo to intentionally, forcibly convert others against their will.

Generally, they adapt to the area, and the ones that live in it, so the ones near here, is gonna have a visible likeness to longma. They are still obvious plant matter, in various ways though, but they will adapt in this manner. Beyond that, their societies change a lot too, depending on the area, so they're adaptable to a fault.

I'll go over more culture things when time comes. :)

Much appreciated! I gotta say, this part's creepy; it's gonna spook the longma when they learn of it, but it will be interesting when the Evergrown show up!

It is, but that was intentional. They are a creation between two of my characters. A seer who knew they'd need to exist, and a draconequui, whom he guided as best he could, after arranging for her resurrection. In large part to make the Evergrown, who are so adaptive and peculiar, because they are the creation is layers upon layers of carefully crafted chaos and nature magic. That is what the first seed were, that spawned the evergrown, and the seer knew well that it would convert others. He needed some to exist, so the tree wouldn't be spawned and just sit there. So he shielded himself, and let the caravan that he paid to get him there, be converted into the first evergrown.

They do not know of their origins. The seer and what he did, have long since been forgotten, as he took their memories, to make them accept their new lives easier. They think they were grown by the Earth Mother, a presence they feel deep beneath the earth, whom they consider their goddess, and send prayer to, to keep her slumbering peacefully. Their worst fear, being that she rises ri, and drain the soil of her bountiful energy.

I've never established fully who the Earth Mother is, but she is loosely build upon the concept of Gaea, and the evergrown were made because she were growing angry from being forgotten, by all but the dryads. The evergrown helps soothe her, and keep her dormant. The seer knew this, and thus decided on a course that were somewhat cruel to the original ones who got made into evergrown, but a minor sacrifice, for the greater purpose.

The only one who knows the truth is my original evergrown, Briar. And that is because he met Anomaly, the draconequui largely responsible for his kin's creation. Yet he wouldn't tell another evergrown of it. He does not think it wise for them as a whole, to know of this truth, at this point in time.

As said, it is taboo for them to intentionally convert another, and they take great pains in ensuring that it happens as little as is possible. The times it does, the afflicted are welcomed fully into their society, and treated as equal, though the social structure depends on the village in question. Briar for instance, came from one were anomalies to the norm, were used as slave labor, and had lower status than pets. Though this is very much not the norm, and something that new villages mostly abhors as a concept.

@Blitz Boom

That is pretty cool, having connected stories among different characters!

And the mention of Earth Mother, I think I can work something out to give the longma a kind of commonality with the Evergrown. The longma believe nature is a kind of "living system" that looks out for them so long as proper respect and care are given. The thing is, they don't really know if someone is working through nature or if it is just how the natural world works. Isolationism and the longma's beliefs left them with one interpretation of their world, and I think it'll be a shock when they learn of something that says otherwise.

Looking forward to how things play out when the Evergrown are introduced!

Just asking your opinion on something.

Would it be fine with you if I used the Solar - Magma story to build on what's happening in the other world? It wouldn't be the main focus, but as things go along, there could be things found or characters interviewed that give hints to what's going on on that side.

Also a question, do you have something planned for it? You were the one who suggested the pairing, and being honest, I don't personally have any ideas for a grand story for the two, and making up bureaucracy isn't exactly one of my strong points:P

A third thing, when it comes to the upcoming list of potential individuals, while none of my characters would join the effort, there is some weirdos that can make an appearance if we need filler options :P

@Catpone Cerberus

I don't see an issue with you using the story to build on anything. Go right ahead. :)

I have nothing planned specifically. I have some vague ideas of potential recruits I can come up with, but the more *make a case to investigate* sort of thing, I figure is your thing. Your agency after all. :) And we don't need to focus a great deal on the nitty gritty bureaucratic stuff. Just a focus on the case(s), and what story with Solar that can tie in to things, as it progresses. We set up the behind the scenes work. No need to go over the filing and such every time. If something is important regarding it, I can just have it as a mention in my replies that includes Magma, as she handles those things for the most part.

If you prefer, my next post can be them going straight past this, and her presenting him with a bunch of papers on potential new recruits?

And for the weirdos, bring 'em around every now and again. Can add some spice. :3

No need to skip directly to that necessarily, as I have an idea for a minor event that could take place at a "boring" time, or in other word, at some point when they are kinda just working in the office; but after that's over, and generally when there's "downtime" I'm fine with you skipping forward to have something change so that if nothing else, there's a topic of conversation. :)

Sorry for being slow these days btw. I have had some things with family, but some days, I've also just got lost in gaming, and forgot the world for a bit. Might be a delay more during the weekend, but otherwise, I should have things sorted enough to get to a somewhat stable rotation again come Tuesday at the latest.
