Discordian 6,015 October 7, 2014 Share October 7, 2014 Even if the dissolved the partnership that doesn't mean the show won't still run on the channel, methinks. Maybe it'll go on another channel, maybe it'll stay where it is, or maybe they'll just stream it from their own website with paid subscriptions and continue to release it on DVD for us plebs who have no cable and can't watch it anyway.
Dash865 49 October 7, 2014 Share October 7, 2014 Hasbro has not backed out of the Hub. Discovery has acquired 10% of Hasbro's share, which gives them controlling interest in the network, and why it is being rebranded as Discovery Family. MLP is not going away, it will remain on this same network, Hasbro is still in this.
FlitterFlutter 1,584 October 7, 2014 Share October 7, 2014 isn't ponies just going to be on Discovery family? I don't think anything will change with ponies. Credit to Kiki
That One Pone 584 October 7, 2014 Share October 7, 2014 I'll emphasise this now: Ponies are not going ANYWHERE. The show will still be aired on Discovery Family, consider it a branding change and not a full switch of content as well. 2 Zeusking19 - Poniverse Developer and SysAdmin "No DDR machines were harmed in the making of this post." Radiance64 7,053 October 8, 2014 Share October 8, 2014 Yeah the show and their other stuff is still gonna air on the new channel The rebranding just means they'll have other shit on primetime, not much else seems to be changing atm

Christmasy Britty 2,553 October 8, 2014 Share October 8, 2014 I don't think the ponies will disappear anytime soon its so popular as it is why would any network not want to ride the cash cow that is mlp:fim signature by Pucksterv
King Sejong 859 October 8, 2014 Share October 8, 2014 Discovery has always owned this channel, before the Hub, it was Discovery Kids, remember that? I do, just barely, regardless on how you feel, just remind yourself, what did the Hub did for you? In four years, this channel gave us My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Dan Vs., and the Littlest Pet Shop, plus some nostalgic shows like Transformers, Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series, Fraggle Rock, Animaniacs, and so much more, I can paddle on, I am just grateful that such a channel existed, and at least it went out on a high note, rather than a period of indignant decline, like Disney or Cartoon Network, so long as the ponies are still showing, and the pets still have a place, I will remain in attendance with the rest of the audience, so I end by saying farewell Hub, we thank you.
TheJLeeTeam 914 October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 It looks like they are going to rotate another Discovery show everyday. I'd rather have that than sitcoms. EquestriaGuy 1,074 October 9, 2014 Author Share October 9, 2014 I'm well aware Hasbro now only owns a specific block on DF, but I still can't fathom the logic in debuting EQG 2 at 3:30 in the afternoon, rather than primetime. If they aired it in primetime, considering the rave reviews from most fans, and critics, that airing would pull in well over 700k viewers. There is absolutely nothing on that channel that will ever bring in what MLP brings in, and they're wasting this opportunity.
Lelek 178 October 9, 2014 Share October 9, 2014 Should we be worried now that DF takes over airing MLP? Its still MLP FIM, right? Nothing's changed? Still the same?

TranceBrony 16 October 11, 2014 Share October 11, 2014 No need to worry! Here's something I found on the wall street journal! Hasbro will retain a large stake in the service and control a chunk of programming during the day. 'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic' is one show on the Hub that is based on a Hasbro toy This means Hasbro may still allow Ponies on discovery family. Geek0zoid 1,468 October 11, 2014 Share October 11, 2014 Ponies won't be going anywhere. The network it's shown on is just getting a face change. The schedule may change a little bit, but we shouldn't panic and kill our families, because everything will be hunky dory. 1 Signature made by: Rainbow Skywalker My little YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/GeekySteven (Game (Mostly) and Pony Reviews) (Yes, I'm actually active) My Johari Window thingymabob :http://kevan.org/johari?name=StevenEarthPony ASK ME A QUESTION OR TWO!:http://mlpforums.com/topic/85648-ask-steven-anything-you-want-he-loves-answering-your-questions/#entry2228380
That One Pone 584 October 12, 2014 Share October 12, 2014 It has already been confirmed that morning shows will consist of shows including MLP, LPS and Transformers: Rescue Bots, so to be fair there is no need to panic or worry. rpc8169 238 October 12, 2014 Share October 12, 2014 All Discovery is doing is keeping what worked for The Hub and changing what didn't. Hasbro still has their time to show ponies, so don't worry one bit. (pun intended)

remove p l e a s e ? 800 October 12, 2014 Share October 12, 2014 It's confirmed MLP will have five more years. If MLP isn't on Hub, then it would be on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a few others. Firehearted 120 October 13, 2014 Share October 13, 2014 MLP is still on. All that happening is they're renaming the network and adding some more shows. MLP stays. Jangocoolguy 433 October 13, 2014 Share October 13, 2014 Alas poor Hub. I knew it, board members. A network of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. It hath borne me on adventures and antics a thousand times. And now how abhorred in my imagine it is! My gorge rises at it (whatever that means)! Here played those shows and movies I recorded I know not how oft. Where be your magic ponies now? Your puppets, your transforming robots, your nostalgic shows that were wont to set viewers on a roar? Not one now to mock your own programming? Ratings fallen? Now, get you to Discovery's chamber and tell them, let them stop this foolishness that chases away viewers with most dull and repetitive programming and show them what made such great entertainment so great. "It's like I found a piece of myself I didn't even know was missing!" How do you think WE feel?!
