What bad you guys see in Love and Tolerance?

But like all things, you can never love and "accept" all. Because eventually you are going to reach an ideological paradox, and thus risk the collapse of your entire system.

My rule of thumb would be that you should draw the line at being tolerant to someone else's intolerance.

 

I see this a lot where when some group is being dipshits,  and you call them out on it and they start crying about how "wahh, you're then one being intolerant because you're not tolerating my beliefs, you're a hypocrite".

 

It pretty amounts to a stupid dodge of the issue and subversion of the golden rule.

I don't think it's bad or anything, I just see it as pointless because hardly anybody actually stands by it. Why create something and not stand by it?

Depends on what your definition of "Love and Tolerance" is.

I for one think it's about openness and acceptance, even if it's as simple as acknowledging someone's opinion that's different from yours. It can be a difficult thing to come to terms with but a lot of people feel the need to justify their opinions these days.
