I already own Black Ops 2. Why should I buy a second copy of the same game?

As do i, i also own Modern warfare 2.5. Cod is the cancer of shooters now it turned out very well, and went down hill after black ops came out. The sad thing with consumers today there as dumb as dirt and won't realize it. People would even buy a toaster if there was hype about it, just like how when MW3 came out they made a pair of earbud head phones for $150! WTF. and the sad thing people actually bought it. Gamers went from a hidden society to now a mainstream group of dumb immature idiots that have parents buying games. The only way this franchise will die if parents Stop buying it for their kids when they give a temper. The franchise has ruined other games such as halo with such dumb idiotic game play. That now they have to appeal to the cod community if they want to make a very high profit margin. God I hate people even more looking at the sales for cod. At least I have my little pony's to save me from watching the world burn.

Seriously... not one sing buck was given that day!

(get it, double pun!)

The ONLY good part of Carl on Duty Black Cops was the customization of logos to have Ponies, kill everyone, and then get ALL of the hate mail and that Family Matters Carl Winslow joke!

Man, new games used to be cool. I don't think I've played a new game from a major developer in years (except for valve and blizzard games, because those companies are still awesome).

Think of it this way: every idiot who shits themselves to pay $60 for the next CoD expansion is one less person whose is also trying to get that copy of Persona 4 as soon as the local game store gets one :)

This. Little 12 year old punks (Not sure if I can say much since I'm 14, but I'm way more mature than them) are the reasons why CoD gets such a bad image now. The idiots at Infinity Ward decided to cater to the noob crowd which has in turn made CoD a nooby game in general. Funny how I have been playing the series for only a little more than a year now and I'm way more skilled than unfortunately most of the CoD demograph now. I'm pretty sure Treyarch will do a better job this title, though I still think I have my hopes too high.

Hopefully, there will be such an insane amount of gore in this CoD that parents will think twice about buying it or not. I remember how WaW has decapitation, dismemberment, and much more, and now I can't really remember seeing one leg fall off in MW3. Its not rated M for anything you know.

CoD won't ever go that path cause GOW set the bar for that and they made it work well with Gow if CoD did, it would fail harder then the games are already.

I am 19 and i have seen the progression of games go from the super nintendo to xbox 360 and the rise was great games were amazing and all felt good to play. When a new game came out which took at least 2 years to here info about alot changed. Story, weapons, maps, graphics, so much stuff changed. Now gamers want more more more and it just makes the games suck even more. I'll use halo reach as my example. Great game loved it to death until i realized how bloom added a no skill gap. You could be 75% good at the game but the 25% was luck and that shouldn't change a game. Now they even made playlists with no bloom cause they realized how bad it was. If gamers can stop being so selfish and be patient games could be so much better and people wouldn't be falling for the entire same crap. If those games came out back in my younger years :D they would lose money then make money.

I'm rambling now if people experienced what elder gamers felt not trying to talk down to anyone but if people could understand waiting gives more than I MUST HAVE IT NOW!

Pretty much I hate CoD now to the point like i said i would want to watch the world burn.

Call of Duty isn't going to get my money no matter what, I've bought Modern Warfare 2, then Black Ops and when Modern Warfare 3 I bought it the first day but I already got bored after a month and a half.

The game that lasted the longest was Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops so I think the same is going to happen to Black Ops 2 and I am definitely not going to buy it unless it has more than 50 maps, 25 zombie maps and around 125 guns.

I loved CoD 4 and I even liked MW2, but MW3 got so old for me really quick. I've just gotten so sick of CoD, although I will probably get Black Ops 2 just for the heck of it. I just wish it wasn't the same game over and over cuz it gets really old...

I won't buy it for 3 reasons:

1. It's the same thing every year

2. I don't have an Xbox....

3. It's the same thing every year

HOWEVER, the only thing I've ever liked about the series is Zombies (and multiplayer with my cousins... Not online)

I like me some Nazi zombies.

Call of duty is more for multiplayer these days and not single player

Exactly, and considering that my online activity is sporadic at best, I have avoided Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3 and BlackOps due to this, as I have been told that the single player campaigns in these games can typically be beat in a matter of a few hours, give or take. Unlike these types of CoD fans, I actually own and shoot firearms, and I can say that CoD is anything but an objective source on firearms.

Personally, I prefer the WWII games in the Call of Duty series, and Call of Duty: World at War is the most recent (and perhaps the last) game in the series I own.

One of the vexatious things about Call of Duty fans is how some of them think of the game as an authoritative reference on firearms. How can they judge a gun's performance based on what they have seen in a video game?

De omnibus dubitandum.

Being primarily an Xbox Gamer, I had quite the love for the COD games for the first few years. After Black Ops though, I began to lose interest and now that interest is nothing more than a small fizzle on the gaming fire. I still have yet to buy MW3 and at this rate, I probably will just rent it for the short campaign and the campaign related achievements at most (same goes for Black Ops 2).

I still consider GOW and Halo to be my primary shooter preferences at the moment (Hell, I even met a few Bronys through those games!). So all in all, I don't hate the COD franchise, but if it were to disappear for a few years, Id be just fine with that.

I barely ever play any CoD games at all anymore. Mainly because they've lost their value and usually are crappy as ports for the PC version.

Even the 360 versions have gotten difficult to enjoy.

I haven't liked COD since MW1 and WAW, and I can't even play them because Infinityward/Treyarch just forgets about there old games when a new one comes out. Hackers/modders can run wild and ruin it for everyone else. In short I wont be buying ANYMORE COD, outless Black Ops 2 (thats a horrible name)

^That's so true. The biggest thing that pisses me off on the first Black Ops game are the enemies continously respawning from levels Executive Order, SOG and Rebirth, in which I would be on the verge of throwing the controller. They had better not do the same on the next CoD game. Otherwise, completing the game with Veteran difficulty would be too harrowing and become prone to fits of rage after being killed several, if not many, times by enemies that pop out of seemingly nowhere. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

I used to play alot of multiplayer in MW2, Black Ops and MW3 but now I don't play as much as before.

I think black ops 2 is gonna be a bad game but I will still buy it right away. Why? You say. Simple answer:

Because of Zombies. That's the only reason I will buy it. I love Treyarch's Zombie mode so much that I will spend money on it. Multiplayer is probably gonna be a piece of shit.

I agree with you. multiplayer is filled with players who claim to be "better than other players", while I find it untrue. I always play zombies when it comes to gunning down the undead like the Ray Gun, ThunderGun, Winter's Howl, VR-11, you name it, especially with three other players on your side. That's also the reason why I should get Black Ops 2 for one reason, and that's zombies. :)

Hey, add me on xbox and we can play some zombies right now! Or maybe another time if you can't

My username is Jokuc on the xbox too.
