My best choice was, and still is to not have friends. Friends slow me down. They're just more shadows following me, and I already have one.

Hmm. I remember there was is kid at primary school. I would say we were decent friends. He was a complete bellend at times and made up a lot of shit about things NSFW. We joked a bit. Sat on his table all of year six. Then we kinda stopped talking when we went to different high schools. About 8 months after not talking for ages I saw he was online on facebook, I said hi. Then he said something like "your mums a cunt" or something. Was a long time ago. Something similar at least. After that I removed him from facebook and haven't spoken to him since. I got better friends now anyway.

Well I once knew this kid for a very short time, I remember when I first met him he was Okay but that all changed when he came over to my house, I believe it was March or February of 2011. That day ruined any potential long term friendship, the kid and his family clearly had no clue how to act around other people(especially when they were guests at other peoples homes). The kid himself was just a bully type, he kept asking me about my weight and overall was just unpleasant to be around, his sister kept annoying my guinea pig and the mother wouldn't stop talking. They treated our house like it was there house, in the end they where at our house from I believe twelve in the afternoon till ten at night, I made it repeatedly clear that I wanted them to go but they pretty much refused to leave. After that I just lost all contact with them, the last time I saw said kid was at tesco in January of 2012(and he was still asking me about my weight), thankfully I haven't heard from him since.

Actually, that's a lie, there is one single person ever I trust to a larger extent than anybody else, but not utterly. Yes a guy and a girl can be best friends xD

I don't actually consider you a friend until I have known your for about 3 years or so I would have thought I would know their character by then

 

Unfortunately, this is not so. Not long after I became a brony and told my friends, I lost a childhood friend of 12 years. Our personalities had basically merged we were that close and we thought with the same mind, but he made the mistake of allowing himself to become judgmental... and yeah :/

It can happen with anybody, trust nobody for you never know when they will stab you in the back. Humans are an unreliable factor, and a weak link in the chain. To be honest, I prefer the company of a computer nowdays, the only problem is the lack of witty conversation.

For me, all throughout school (elementary to the small amount of College I attended) I had a ton of friends. I honestly thought I'd know them all for a long while. I was the guy who hung around whenever we all saw each other, but was never really anyone's close friend.

Then life happened, I went off to try for a career that completely failed and my amount of friends dropped to zero pretty much overnight. They all moved on and a majority of them still talk to each other, but none of them talk to me. My friendships didn't go sour, it just died. All the walls I put up and were torn down in Jr and High school are now back up and reinforced.

 

It's mostly why I've got a bit of a mix of "I don't give a damn anymore" and "Go with the flow" attitude.

 

But enough about me, I'm sure there, people/ponies who've had worse hands dealt to them.

Back in 2nd grade, I knew this guy named Nathan, and he was my BESTEST FRIEND for AGES.

He was kind of odd at times, but I was okay with it, he wasn't too annoying... or so I thought.

He kept backstabbing me, and I kept on deciding to give him one more chance.

Like, he'd for example act like a jerk to me just because he was around certain people, or, he'd lie to me about fake things my other friends would say that weren't true.

We haven't talked since 2013.

I still have him added on my Xbox, just so I can give him a piece of my mind if he ever comes online.

Two and a half years ago there was a guy who used to be my best friend, we did almost everything together and we had a lot of fun, then 1 year ago he started to reject me, maybe is because i started to become kinda obssesive and insensitive, however, he didn't really explained me why, and i got bored of it and stopped trying to make it work, we didn't talk to each other for a long time. Recently we've started to talk again but it just isn't and will never be the same.

one member of the Ponygames Guild who I like quite a bit and thought he would be a great addition to the guild..... but then I kicked him because he wasn't doing anything to help us then I kicked another member from the guild for breaking a major rule and that's becoming a clopper I told both I still wanted to be their friends and how do they react they start a anarchy and try to get the entire guild to betray me so I had to act fast and put a end to this anarchy

Very few actually stick by my side throughout the years

 

Some I nope away from because they're violent towards everyone they know, or I see them tare people down enough so I know to steer away so I don't become next

 

Some others have just stabbed my back so I've noped away from some of those

 

Others don't want to listen to something I say, want to believe something that didn't happen and there's no telling them otherwise so I have to step away, no choice at times

 

Some people are around with their smiling face, then later on paths just go different directions

 

But like I've said, very few true friends stick by your side through thick and thin... I have a couple of those and I'm grateful for them~ a couple best friends.

I sometimes hated my friends simply from jealousy that they can make friends easier than me, or that they're more popular than me (even though I don't want to be popular). When I have a friend who has a GF (I would say BF too but I never had a girl as a friend) I sometimes get jealous that I can't be in a relationship like they are. Things start to fall after that, they become more distant and soon it crumbles all at once.

In elementary I was sooooooo friend with 2 guys, we were friends since the first grade, but I lost contact with them after we finished the last year, both of them contacted me like 3 months ago, and one of them, men he's so annoying, I don't like him, and he always wants to come to my house, I don't know how to evade him without hurting his feelings

Twice actually. One of them, we were friends since 1st grade. He was a great guy but overtime became worse and eventually started bullying me behind my back. If he did it up front he said he was "just joking" to keep our "friendship" going. It took me forever to realize how he was using me.

 

The second...I'm not really sure. Great, best friends for a year. Was also really nice but slowly became worse. He just sort of...left. No words. Nothing. Gone. All that tells me is I never mattered at all though.

 

I've gotten over both those guys though. True friends do not leave you in the dust. They don't bully you. So those people I knew before are no friends of mine.

Yes. I recently started to become friends with this one girl. We have quite a bit in common and she at first seemed super cool and nice. We hung out a few times and things went GREAT!

 

Idk, she started to slowly annoy me over time. She got SO mad at me because I did not do that ALS Ice bucket challenge last summer. Nothing against it, I just chose not to dumb freezing cold water on myself or donate 100 dollars I did not have.

 

She nominated me and then pestered me because I did not do it. She then was like "oh well, you have to donate 100 dollars." and I was like "I don't have 100 dollars, what am I suppose to do? Pull it out of my a$$?". She then got so mad at me and then posted a Facebook status obviously referring to me "I have lost so much respect for you". Umm..okay? One simple challenge I did not do, you lose respect for me. K den.

 

She also slowly began annoying me more and more with the statuses she uploads and stuff. Idk. She just annoys me now. :/

Funny thing about it is that half the people doing the ice bucket challenge forgot it was for charity and didn't even donate money.

All of my closest friends either move away or I just stop talking to, and as a result being as close to them as I was before is near impossible. 

 

But there was this one girl I hung out in middle school with, she was part of my group or whatever. She was okay (and every now and then she was fun to hang out with) until she eventually started insulting or literally hurting me or my other friends (things like slapping, kicking, punching, pushing, etc..) and then started insulting my weight at every opportunity which eventually led to some eating problems down the road.

 

I did stop talking to her and avoided her, because if someone is making you feel bad or harming you, they are not your friend and don't even remotely deserve to be one.

(In all seriousness, I myself get this feeling sometimes, although I don't dislike my friends, I dislike things about them. However the people who I thought were my "friends" from my old school district,  I certainly dislike them for what they've done to me. Almost all of them turned out to be huge assholes, and I'll explain why in a personal thread at some point.)
