I agree, Twilight is currently Sunset's mentor. But what if things change once Sunny returns to Equestria. 

 

One probably can't be a student/mentor if they are dating or married Besides Sunset would need to reacquaint with her old friends/make new friends, and having Princess Luna as one of them makes sense.

Hmm. When you put that way, it does seem disturbing, at least to me. Regardless, Sunny did learn about friendship from Twilight. Finding somepony who has gone through the same experience as her will surely make Sunny happy that she's not alone. As close as they may be, Twilight didn't go through that same experience and will never understand completely how Sunny truly feels.

@@Moonlit, I'm pretty sure Sunny won't have any tolerance for Glimmer and will want to strangle her. 

 

On a positive note, I'm sure she's the prankster type and would enjoy pranking with Discord.

Also, Sunset and Discord pranking would probably give Celestia and Twilight grey hair in their manes. Factor in Luna, and nobody in Canterlot or Ponyville would be safe.

I think I already know the answer but, I thought I'd ask anyway.

 

Personally, I found her to be much more entertaining as a "mean girl" because I felt she had a bit more of a "Spark" to her.

Seeing these pictures of Pony Sunset reminds me that we haven't seen Sunset in her true pony form since the first Equestria Girls movie.
