So, checked and definitely nothing else on the Everfree disk - not even unaccounted VOB files - but some interesting extras on the Friendship games disk, including a "summary" of the first two movies by Sunset

If it's part of the three disc set, then that explains why you don't have the blooper reel--it was included in the stand alone Legend of Everfree release.

I've posted on here a fair amount, but I've never really expressed my thoughts on Sunset Shimmer. Allow me to do so within the following spoiler.

So, Sunset Shimmer is my second favourite character in My Little Pony. Although, to be honest, I wasn't particularly keen on her while I was watching the first Equestria Girls film. I viewed her as an interesting villian, but not as someone that I could relate to. As someone who went through a lot a grief, due to being bullied for being a unique individual, I was somewhat biased on my initial opinion. That all changed as I worked my way through the subsequent films. Seeing Sunset being genuinely apologetic and understanding of her misdeeds, touched me on a really personal level. I never had the liberty of having the peers who bullied me, show remorse towards their actions. Seeing someone else do it however, is a really noble and lovely thing. 

Sunset has also inspired me in some regard. In my early teens and younger years, I've done things with extremely poor judgement, which I regret every single day. If any of you haven't heard the song My Past is Not Today, Sunset pretty much reflects on the bad things that she did, while being assertive towards the future and the fact that she indeed has changed. I appreciate this song a lot, as I have trouble dealing with the memories of my past mistakes, but seeing a character from a series I love do it, motivates me to be a better person. 

I have an incredible amount of respect for Sunset and I hope to see more of her in the near future.

Indeed. Sunset was always a lacklustre villain - an ambitious teen with a sense of entitlement - but then, I think, like Starlight, her villain phase was largely a staging point for her redemption and future development. Unlike Starlight, she was unable to get distance from those she had misused and had to earn her forgiveness the hard way - which she did with appropriate contriteness, and the support of the eqg mane group. Was pleased to see her come full circle in /forgotten friendship/ and apologise to Celestia, and her fight to not revert back to her old, pre-redemption self after she lost the support of her friends (was also pleased to see her interaction with trixie, even if it IS yet another parallel with Starlight)

Sunset Shimmer is my favorite MLP character, for sure. She's why I originally even got into MLP...

Redemption characters mean a lot to me on a personal level, and especially if they're done well. I don't feel like her original transition from bad to good was the greatest, BUT the way the rest of her story is handled is superb, I think. Lesser redemption characters often remain pretty static after they change their ways, and sometimes even fade into the background over time, but Sunset does neither of those things. She's one of the greater ones, to me, <3
