well as far as i know, she was never in the original story line, and since EqG is a "filler" most likely we will never see her again as a pony. though she looks cute as both. it's no wonder, she wanted to take over the world) but in the end, it is not what she really wanted, she just have a deep feeling that she belong in another dimension. and did everything to get there.

I wish Pony Sunset Shimmer would come back to Equestria:

 

much as I do wish this myself, I fear it may be too late, with the FiM movie due out and rumored to wrap up g4. Sunny's had ample opportunity to go back, as even Sunbutt said that she wanted her to (but Twilight failed to carry out), and in the movies following the first. Many chances.

 

Frankly, if she returns in g4, I can't see her having any prominent role or lasting screen time in further episodes, as we would like

 

I would certainly hope she does, though,and instead- be the main character (already having reached process status) o thrilling adventured with her jolly band of merry mares (and other species). A cool, kickbutt unicorn princess continuing to spread friendship and face danger, while the alicorns are all rotting in their castles

IT'S SUNNY DAY!!!

It's time for all of us to show our ultimatest appreciation towards the pony-girl that did mistakes in her past, but made an honest decision to change for the best. Therefore she earned forgiveness and love from both her new friends and from us mere mortals, who can only wish we could become her actual friend in real life. She is an example for all of us to follow.
