general media Who are you most like?

Haruhi-chan

Recommended Posts

I mean like, cartoon characters, anime characters, characters from TV shows... stuff like that? I was really curious to see your answers and that's what drove me to make this thread. :DI hope there isn't another one like this. D: Also, ponies don't count in this since we have quite a few threads about them.

Also, why?

The characters I'm most like are Ponyo (from the movie), Haruhi Suzumiya, Chuckie Finster, Rikku Al Bhed and Hani-Senpai

Ponyo - The reason is because she's hyper and attached to odd things. She's eccentric and very bubbly and also has weird obsessions (ham).

Haruhi - She's also very eccentric as well. She doesn't do well with socializing, but she also doesn't let that stop her. She is very quirky and one of my most favorite characters.

Chuckie Finster - I'm just as paranoid about things as him. However, I can tell you I'm NOT afraid of the guy on the oatmeal box. :P

Rikku - She's very hyper, can't still still most of the time and can be very childish at times.

Hani-senpai - He's also has a bunch of child-like qualities I relate to. He also has a love for sweets just like i do. :3

Hmm. How's this?

Mordin Solus / Mass effect - My friends have compared me to Mordin before... because of my chatty outbursts and handiwork in coming up with creative ideas.

Bane / The dark knight rises - In this specific incarnation, anyway. I'm naturally stoic, and i have a strong mental set of values and principles, which i follow zealously.

Daniel Jackson / Stargate SG1- In this series he was often in contrast to another lead character, Jack O'Neil, for being very humane in his approach (the latter being too procedural and militaristic) , similarly to how i am in various cases.

Twilight S. - I think stuff through rationally!

Charlie Bradbury - Um, we're both as geeky as hell and as hyper as hell.

Kyoko Sakura - We both like eating.

Draco Malfoy - This one's on my friend, she said that we're both massive dicks.

Have the courage to think and act on your own. And have the courage to disobey.

Hermoine Granger - I like booooookkkkkkssss...

Twilight Sparkle - I like boooooooookkkkkkkkkksssss... and I'm a nerd. And I like taking action in a situation. And I'm VERY punctual.

Light Yagami - I'm a guy who wants to bring DEATH. (yeah, I'm a horrible person)

Rarity is the best thing in my life.

Where would I be without her? Nowhere I'd like to be, that's for sure.

Since I'm such an evil bastard, most people I'm most likely with are bad guys. Obviously, bad guys are better than good guys.

Ferb/Big Mac/Maud Pie - Phineas & Ferb/My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Honestly, I don't talk too much, and these characters are just like me.

Cell/Piccolo/Beerus - Dragon Ball Z

These three are my favourite characters of the franchise. Piccolo is someone that uses his intelligence and skill rather than his brute strength. Cell is very strong and very intelligent at the same time. He's willing to become stronger the more he practices, but not for fighting, but because he enjoys being stronger than anyone. I have to say, I was like that when I was a kid and went to the gym with such arrogant mind.

And then you have Beerus, what a delightful character. He is the one you just don't want to fuck with. He's the one everyone talks about because they fear him, and you know what? The entire Universe does. Kinda like me when I was known to be very silent and sometimes playful, but with a hidden strength you don't want to discover.

Scar - The Lion King

The thing about Scar is that he was weak, something I'm not in my eyes, but in his eyes, Scar didn't thought of himself as a wealking, he was just above everyone's mental capacity but below their strength levels. Scar was a very strong lion, even for one that never hunted on his life and was born smaller than the rest.

He used his intelligence to manipulate others into making himself look as the king, or tyrant, what he truly was. Scrap a few evil words in there, and you have me. A bit.

Tirek - G1 & G4 My Little Pony

Both Tireks are just like me. We both prefer the shadows, we might look weak but in the end we can be more powerful than most people can imagine. Just like both Tireks, I'm strong and very intelligent and manipulative. There are many reasons why I love these two awesome villains.

Aku - Samurai Jack

The thing I see in Aku similar with me is that we're both very powerful and intelligent, but fear in the end something. I fear the unknown, the one thing that it's going to come from somewhere and it may possibly kill me at any moment. Aku also fears only one thing, since he's evil incarnate and virtually unstoppable, the sword his rival weilds, forged by the gods and created from the will and everything that is good of mankind.

That's pretty much everything. i also like to say that while at the beginning he both were very serious (from ages 10 to 20 I was a very serious kid-teenager) but then became very playful while still being very strong and intimidating. He's very relatable to me, and he's also an awesome villain, the best I've ever seen in a Cartoon Network cartoon.

Yeah, we do look vaguely alike, don't we? According to my fiance, we sound a lot alike as well.

That is Shion Uzuki of Xenosaga on the left there, and she is the character who is most like me in all of the fictions I have experienced. Other than a few resemblances between us physically, she behaves as I do. Like a me who has more confidence and less friends. She's rather impulsive, which I am a lot of the time when my fear is taken away. And she has some deep dark secrets within her from terrible happenings. Just a lot of psychological damage like I do, and a lot of sadness. Shion also becomes fixated and obsessed with the one person she feels she loves and understands her, just as I did in the past, and disregards everyone else as being insignificant. She doesn't really seem to understand who is her friend. When that obsession of hers dies (not a spoiler, because this is revealed at the beginning of the first game), she determinedly plows though and vows to finish his work. Just as I would do.

She's also a big dork and nerdy.

What we have most in common is this central core to our characters - dedication to our work and passion. The things that we create and the work that we do, they are everything to us. And we put our all with utmost seriousness in making sure that these things are to the highest of quality, even if that means doing something stupid, impulsive, and risky. Sacrificing our personal health just for our creations. Shion is like me in that way. She's also naive as I am, not knowing as much about pretty much everything else that isn't her work, including empathizing with others and being social. But people respect her, because of her determination. She is very competent at her work, and has a motherly-type aspect to her personality even though she's reckless and naive. As chief of the KOS-MOS project in the game, she is telling others what to do, and in charge of all aspects of it. That project is her baby. When KOS-MOS is completed, her dynamic with her is even that of an exasperated motherly figure. I feel like that around a lot of people. And I too have a project that I am chief of, organize everything about, and put my all into.

Honestly, roleplaying as her isn't much of a big stretch. It feels natural, and very easy to be her.

My pessimistic, nihlistic attitudes definitely draw comparisons to this guy:

eeyore-1.gif

Everyone calls me Eeyore. My parents do, my friends, etc, and for good reason, if you've seen some of the depressing crap I can say. I can really innovate at self-deprecation.

I also see a lot of myself in Agent Smith from The Matrix, specifically his outlook on life as meaningless. I love the combination of logical, computerized thinking with an attitude of contempt, and I also love the idea of an intelligent machine going completely nuts trying to give itself purpose after it loses its original intent. Ironically, it displays a very human motivation that is the fear of life without purpose.

As for ponies, I once had the motivation and ambition of Rainbow Dash before my self-confidence came crashing down thanks to the school system and society. I still do relate to her laid-back personality. In real life, I have once been compared to Twilight Sparkle, with whom I can definitely relate on the beginning of her journey from the pilot episodes, and my relatability to her conflict in "Winter Wrap-Up" definitely places it on my list of favorite episodes for the series.

However, I created my OC Wind Chaser not only as a ponysona, but also to fill specific gaps in the series lore that I really believe should be explored, such as the differences between small-town and urban upbringing, depression, and the pressures of living directionless with a lack of self-concept as an adult in a world where finding purpose and respecting individuality have such a high value at the core of its society.

I see myself a fair bit in Eve in the Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton game. Even though she's the antagonist, it's revealed in the post game that it's all an act and she's actually really shy. She's just good at acting and really gets into character. I can sympathize and operate similarly when I'm doing a presentation or speaking publicly.

Right now, probably this guy, the one and only Chris-Chan, Mayor of CWCville

Comic_CWC.PNG

On account of how I'm presently unloved, terrible at drawing, possess warped social skills, have an irrationally bloated self-image, shamelessly steal concepts from the creative works of others, speak in a bizarre accent and spend a considerable portion of my life living in entirely fictional worlds.

I would just like to point out, however, that in terms of personal hygiene, employment status, grasp of the English language and (I hope) general sanity, I'm in marginally better shape than Chris.
