Which headcanon do you dislike?

I tend to strongly dislike this idea that because Twilight is an alicorn that means that all of a sudden she is going to out live her friends, especially since their is no definite proof to back it up, AND furthermore if you want to get really nasty, their is actually proof to discredit it more than anything. Take for instance the fact that Cadence use to foalsit Twilight, she was shown in those flash backs to be much younger than she is currently is at the present time, in fact she actually appeared to look like an ordinary mare for the most part, other than the fact that she had wings and a horn. Now, get this, just because her appearance has changed a bit over time and she has become more skinny and slightly taller does not NOT mean that it actually had anything to do with Cadence becoming an alicorn. In fact the more likely scenario was that Cadence was actually fairly young herself and not yet fully grown.

 

 

 

 

Take this for instance, here Cadence appears to look like a normal pony only with both wings and a horn.

 

 

 

 

Now, look at this, Fleur Fe Lis is clearly not an alicorn, yet she has a body style that is comparable to Luna or Celestia....

 

Now, how could this possibly tie into anything regarding immortality? Firstly I just really wanted to get the argument that "becoming an alicorn automatically changes said ponies body" type nonsense.

 

Secondly, it is arguable that Celestia and Luna are a completely different kinds of alicorns, in fact it has been hinted numerous time that the two sisters have actually ruled for thousands of years, while when watching the Cadence Twilight flash back you get a certain vibe that Cadence is very young herself.

 

Aside from completely over thinking a children's TV show one of that major reasons that I believe that the immortal head cannon is complete nonsense IS....... 

 

 

 

There is another way you could interpret that tweet though.

Also, the idea of Rainbow Dash being a lesbian. I have nothing against LGBT, it just feels very stereotypical. "Oh look, she's a tomboy and has a rainbow mane, that totally means she's a lesbian and wants to marry Fluttershy." Yeah, that.

Sorry, dude. But the thread title is pretty clear that it's gonna to be a buncha guys complaining about headcanons, and no doubt some of the ones you like will be treated this way. Besides, one of the major points of headcanon is that it can't be disproven, so you can still keep believing in it regardless.

 

Disliked headcanon: Trixie has a sad, tragic backstory that perfectly justifies and excuses any and all of her bad behaviour.

I don't like Vinyl/Octavia. Or Bonbon/Lyra. They could roommates or friends, that's cool. But I don't seem them as a lesbian couple (I have nothing against it, I just don't believe they're a couple).

 

I don't like violent Pinkie Pie. It makes me roll my eyes when people freak out over the word cupcakes, or think Pinkie is some murderer.

A lot of the recently published books have attempted to give some background on this subject...

 

 

 

Long story short is, Celestia and Luna are immortal or near immortal, because they were actually born as alicorns, in a very rare occurrence. Twilight and Cadence were not born alicorns, so even though they became them later in life, they do not have a ridiculous lifespan. (Cadence started as a pegasus, and was elevated to alicorn when it was discovered she could manipulate magic even without being a unicorn.)

 

 

 

So, while it hasn't been addressed in the show, and you can accept or reject the canonicity of this as you will, I think this is what they are going on going forward, in response to all the angst about Twilight outliving her friends sadly.

Pretty much any headcanon that basically amounts to filling the gap with whatever random bits one feels like it. I can understand if someone is working on a fan project, but I particularly despise it when people are shoving their personal headcanon into discussions and act offended when others don't agree with them. Seriously guys...

Also, that whole Crysilis x Fluffle Puff thing. I think it's supposed to be for comedy but I don't find it funny. It just feels like the same material for Lyra x Bon Bon and Vynl x Octavia but even more bizarre since they aren't even of the same species

Any head/show-canon ship that pairs a gorgeous Equestrian mare with a stallion. This is just plain wrong. Every mare in Equestria should have a human male partner, because we're just so much more superior in every imaginable aspect. End of story, I'm right, you're wrong, moving on to next fucking case.
