Before I got into pony, I had been a furry. As I got into ponies, the less of a furry I became. Pony essentially replaced the furry fandom for me.

 

If you looked at my faves pages on Derpibooru, you would find that I still like anthro art.

I prefer ponies. I appreciate anthro ponies in terms of art and the ones I've came across look good in terms of art. But I just prefer ponies more.

Anthro/furred don't bother me.

 

I'm not real fond of humanized forms.

 

But bottom line is like that of most, it really depends on the talent and skill of the artist

For me it completely depends on how they are drawn, though I generally do lean more towards the pony aspect of things I have indeed seen some anthro/furry art that is gorgeous and on the other hand have seen pony art that I found less than desirable, though normally I dig stuff like this in terms of art style for both pony and anthro.

It was the art that initially attracted me to MLP FIM. The faces are very human, and for me that is the key.

I do not like furries with non human faces.

Earlier MLP Pony generations with nonhuman faces turned me off as well.

 

The stallions in the current G4 are fine with me, even with the longer muzzle, they are still very human and the fillies balance them out.

 

My Wife is a full out furry. She has already informed me that I am a rabbit and she is a cat. She likes to classify everyone she meets as some sort of animal.

 

So although I clicked Pony only, I guess I can tolerate cat girls (animie style ones that is).

In truth, I enjoy both. Anthro and the normal MLP pony style all appeal to me. Even some human ones if they're done right. We all have our reasons for liking one or the other but in truth MLP Ponies are as furry as furries.

Outside the show I usually prefer anthro and human ponies. We already find their personalities attractive, why not tip the meter into full-blown hotties territory?

 

Plus, depending on the style, anthros look way better than original ponies do by a wide margin. This is partially because people who do regular pony styles just use the same artstyle as the show which is utterly boring outside of the show itself.

I prefer the characters in their original form. Some anthro art is okay, but it's not as good as the style in the show.

 

There's something about the animation in FiM... I just really like it. I can't explain why, but it's almost magical in a way. Maybe it's because the characters are so expressive in their normal form... is it something like that?

I think that's what it is, because some of my favorites don't always replicate the simplistic/cartoony style. I still like these, too.

Anthro has nothing to do with furries, just like how builders have nothing to do with the milk they occasionally put in their tea.

 

And to answer your question: I do not mind it. And if it's drawn well, it can be quite nice.

Both. I don't really consider myself a furry, but I do like anthros. ( Okay, and maybe I find some a little bit attractive too...    )

I like both. Then again, I was a furry long before I was a brony. I just find anthro stuff attractive. That is, depending on the art style and how they were drawn. If the artist has basically cut and paste a vector form the show on to an anthro body, it looks weird....but Anthro/furry can be done right.

 

Here's a few examples from my collection of it being done right, in my opinion.

Some have hooves,some have feet/hands..It's just how the artist drew her.

I love the picture of Fluttershy taking tea with one of her birdie friends, and schoolgirl Flutterbat is awesome! I like the others as well, save for the top right. I can't say I approve of "butt wings". Why are they so low? In my opinion they spoil the picture.
