Once the chunks stopped being stubborn I was going to, like, pour water everywhere and try clearing all of that out.

But now that you've updated the map I guess I can grab my castle and bring it to Single Player.

Yeah lets hope these chunk errors wont be in 1.9 official. Getting sick of tweaking the server.

Well, looks like Minecraft is now in it's code freeze. Looking back from 1.9.4, Minecraft has gone a long way from when I bought it, back in the Alpha stage.

So, to spark discussion in this thread, when did you guys get Minecraft?

I got Minecraft in November of last year.

New topic: Apparently, the only substantial content that's being added between now and 1.0 is a boss battle of some kind.

Any thoughts?

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

I was forced into buying it in July. Thankfully, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Forced.. Uh huh. I never make you do anything ;)

Well, in my hardcore, I had a nice house, a diamond sword and pick axe, and some other nice spoils, and as I had moved my house, and traveled via Nether, I started a nicer house, complete with farm, pasture, the whole 9 yards. So I was planning to build a mine under my house, and as I did so, I accidently uncovered a small cave. Now I hate caves, and I hate creepers. But I decided to grow up, and explore this one instead of patching it up, and never speaking of it again.

Well, the cave system was full of Iron, coal and gold, and it was short. So I lit it up. Until I came across another thing; It opened into a large abandoned Mineshaft, which opened into a ravine, which showed a kajillion abandoned mineshafts. Oh, but don't worry, thats not the weird part.

The whole thing was empty. No Creepers, Zombies, Spiders, Endermen, nothing. The entire cave was silent. The cave wasn't even completely lit up, so why I don't know. It was a full moon, but I haven't heard of mobs not spawning due to lunar phases. And there weren't any(That I could see from my house) above ground, so why it's quiet is beyond me.

I was expecting this story to end in tragedy, seeing as Murphy's Law never fails. Since there were no monsters around, there is only one logical conclusion: they are currently plotting against you and will soon raid your house.

Also: when I get my computer back, it's high time I started a new project. Maybe if we get a server for this forum. I'm thinkin' something inspired by H. H. Holmes' murder castle.

I can now believe that.

Once I had done that, mined away, got diamond, lapis lazuli, and every kind of ore under the sun, I began some home improvement.

I started a Reed, Cactus, Netherwart, Pumpkin and Melon farm, built more furnaces for faster smelting, explored more of the abandoned mineshaft, still empty, had a nice stockpile of stuff, made a compass and map, made some cake, got an acheviment, made a bow and arrow, enchanted my diamond sword(Spend one Exp. Get Bane of Arthropods I and Knockback I. Like a Bawss.) and get a full set of enchanted iron armor. I was slightly disappointed not to see a Cave Spider, one of the two mobs I have yet to see in person. (The other is a Spider Jockey). Well, that's when downhill started. I had gone out to shear some of the sheep in my backyard, when my cursor started acting odd. It kinda... slide around, and made everything twice as difficult. I started pressing random buttons to try and turn it off, and in my search, a Creeper went up to my fence near where I was, blew up, not killing my, but leaving a wide hole in both my melon farm and my pasture. Its Nighttime, my fence is blown up, and all my animals are running wild.

Fuck.

I didn't want to risk doing anything stupid(Hardcore mode is hard), so I quit, and decided to go back playing when full version comes out. So that way, hopefully that annoying cursor thing will have reseted or something, and it'll feel fresh playing with whatever the full version adds.
