Well, burden of proof really falls on you to prove that. We already know it has nothing to do with being an alicorn, since the unicorn tribe moved them before the alicorns, and Starswirl moved the sun and moon for days at a time. It has nothing to do with Luna, since Celestia moved the moon while Luna was banished. We also know it has nothing to do with spells, since Twilight did it without one.

And that's faulty logic; just because you didn't do something, doesn't mean you can't, especially when it's already very much within your scope of abilities and power level. It's like saying Superman can't pick up a continent because he's never done it, when he's pushed moons and planets. It's like saying you can't pick up a car when you've already picked the statue of liberty. As it stands, the energy necessary to move the sun and moon is greater than the energy necessary to blow up a mountain. It doesn't really matter why she didn't do it.

If this was really so, then I think Tirek should have been easily defeated...but this is just all speculation.

So for the sake of argument lets grant that you're right.

So Luna is busy picking up Canterlot castle.

How far way is the castle? Is the battle happening anywhere near the castle? Could be happening in a swamp in the middle of nowhere.

Lets say the castle is nearby and Luna has no problem killing its denizens.

In the time Luna is taking to move the castle, how fares her chances if Jigglypuff hits her with Sing and it hits?

What if the castle is right above her when that happens and falls on her instead?

Considering that Nightmare moon was a somewhat competent villain that was granted a moon banishing, and Luna is possibly supposedly the 2nd most powerful pony in equestria, and the ridiculous powers Tirek gained from absorbing her magic we can see she's quite powerful.

Though, that said she was defeated by 6 ponies and their friendship.. I mean come on! FRIENDSHIP!

That said and she does nothing when Equestria is in grave danger.

I don't know Luna, your odds are looking pretty slim.

Let the protégés do all the work.  :P

Equestrian magic would defeat any Pokémon, pure and simple.

Considering that Jigglypuff is supposedly one of the weakest ones. And Luna excels in Illusionary magic you may be right.

Though only an Epic rap battle of history could truly determine the outcome of such a fateful duel.  :mustache:

If it came down to an epic rap battle, then jigglypuff may lose since the only thing she can say is, "Jigglypuff."

Well, Luna is faster than every version of Jigglypuff, she'd never get a sing off, but for the sake of argument...

Magic isn't a free system in the MLP world. Magic in Equestria, or at least telepathy, works on a system of equal and opposite reactions. For any force exacted on an object, the user's body has to be strong enough to resist the opposite force. This is why we see Twilight Sparkle struggle when attempting to move the Ursa Minor; it was just within the limits of the force her body could resist. Basically, the amount of energy they produce is equal to the amount of energy they can take.

Luna is at least capable of resisting the force's necessary of moving the moon without being crushed. Even if Canterlot city were to fall on her, it wouldn't hurt her even if you don't account for surface area ( i'm assuming that the city breaks apart in free fall). Mind you, under those conditions, it wouldn't hurt jigglypuff either (Pokemon are some resilient buggers).

And if Luna falls asleep... then what? Jigglypuff has no ability to hurt her, so unless this is a battle to incapacitation, Luna just wakes up and tries something else.

Jigglypuff uses curl then rollout and knocks Luna into a bed of spikes after using gravity on her.

The End.

Does jigglypuff have long range attacks?

Her voice counts as one I believe...also she can learn quite a few beam moves from TM's.
