The thing is, Bronies and Brogres would be a very awesome combination. Plus we could have a Dreamworks MLP Film!!! You know how Tangled and Frozen were also designed to appeal to boys? Perhaps they should do that with a new MLP Film. It would have Tirek as the main villain. And also, How to train your dragon would be a brilliant cash cow for Hasbro, and so would Turbo and and Shrek.

and also, don't go on that this is like Minecraft and Microsoft. Because that is a more serious issue.

To be honest I wouldn't care at all. I'm more of a Pixar guy. I only think half of DreamWorks movies are good.

I'm the same as you, I prefer Pixar for the most part.

At first glance I'd say it's a move by Dreamwork's to reconnect with modern children.

I Used to hate Dreamworks films because I thought the shading on them were not as good as the others. So therefore they looked like less powerful Dreamworks TV Shows. But it seems like they actually improved the shading and realized shading was an issue.

, I am not sure why, but not many people seem to like Spirit. It's one of my all time favorite 2D animations!

Anyways....I am none too sure about this myself. They could be doing it to make more movies and such for their toylines (i.e. MLP being "Dreamworks" movies), which would be really awesome for MLP at least (high budget MLP movie!)

Otherwise, it's just a way to combine movie/toy lines under one big corporate conglomerate in order to make more money....Which could end up shooting itself in the foot...However, with what Dreamworks have been going through over the past few years, I hope that this will open up a great deal of opportunity for them to get bigger and better, hopefully without Hasbro shotting it in the foot (being "Big Brother")..

Here's a very good article describing what I mean...(because i am not good at making sense)...

What about Sinbad? He was awesome!!!

In a way, if Hasbro's going on a model of licensing, that's a good thing because of their more laissez-faire approach to how they allow others to handle their license, in contrast to the micromanaging that other companies do with their licensing. I am of course talking about Disney. :okiedokielokie:

Hurp. I still remember the long-term scare drama that hit the fandom like a 9.5 earthquake from a very big rumor talk of Disney potentionally buying out Hasbro back in early 2013 or so, scares coming from the very same iron-grip detailings you're describing, and how it would spell doom for the fandom's content and creative freedom. The entire fandom's message boards where a sight to behold for over a month.

Fun, fun, fun! :please:

As long as it doesn't affect MLP in a negative fashion, I honestly don't care about the fate of Dreamworks.

Would you like to play with me? I'd like to play with you, forever, and ever, and ever! No... no you can't have it! It's mine! Stay back!

Actually.... looks like Disney stepped in and kyboshed the idea. By all reports Disney told Hasbro that they would yank all their licensing deals (especially the new Princess line of toys) if Hasbro went ahead with the acquisition. Interesting.

Mind you, this may also be a move by Disney to devalue DreamWorks enough to pick it up for a song. (No, not 'Let it go'... blast you....)

Um, this is not very good. I think that is an ok decision, but hasbro seems to not have that much money. They should build up a safety net first..

$4 billion in sales and stock value several billion over that .... I think that they are fine.

Lol your picture actually makes lots of sense, Lauren Faust actually used to work with Brad Bird, the director of The Incredibles on a film called The Iron Giant. He said it was a flop.

Hmmm, can't say that this wouldn't provide access to more resources for Dreamworks in terms of finances and so forth; which might allow more films to be made faster..... But I'm worried about what would happen to my beloved Kung Fu Panda movies that are being promised. :(  If they dare mess with the quality of those movies...

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees.
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

It makes even more sense even if not related if you think about the fact that Disney forced Hasbro off the deal xP

I actually managed to catch those news. It just proves how immoral disney truly is. I mean they are obviously not run by pride, so it has to be capitalism. Thou their toylines would probably have gotten better if they dropped hasbro, because hasbro makes terrible toys in my book...

Eventually Hasbro will try again.  But that will mean Disney cutting off their own. I Would want Dreamworks more. Disney are not that Immoral, but they did rush Toy Story 2. And they don't want any of Hasbro working on Toy Story toys.
